It kind of looks like a deal was cut somewhere. With china? Or with other elements of Venezuelan government? Anything is just speculation at this point. The US picked right this moment to attack - when Chinese officials were visiting Maduro. So much for the president of peace. And what a way to start the year.
Take your time. No rush to post.I don't believe it either. I post the information I find in the heat of the moment. Right now, it is very difficult to verify the accuracy of the news.
Crazy stuff. This all seems a bit off. Airstrikes to cause confusion while Maduro leaves the country as part of a deal?
No way they were able to walk in and take the president of a country overnight without a deal being cut somewhere!
Yes, it was similar to what happened in Panama with Noriega, who was accused of crimes related to drug trafficking and money laundering with Colombian cartels, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio also makes this clear:It wasn't an invasion, not a war, not even a military skirmish.
It was just the execution of an arrest warrant. And the bombs and missiles fired were to protect those US personnel executing the arrest warrant.
