War in Israel-Palestine - October 2023

To lighten the tone of this thread. We do not know the events of the future. I came up with this analogy in my mind using the game of Football or some call it soccer.

It seems we can shout from the roof tops like some kinda of a grand football match.

Lots of violence from spectators, much posturing from politicians about violence, and the result, is a spectacular...

G....rand football match of 1-1...A Draw

So what happens in a football match...A replay, now the players become more aggressive, they want to win this match at all cost, lots of money and influence is lost if they don't win..And of course, they lose their standing in the Major League of the game called football.

From a Woman's eye view, politics is so simple to understand, if their husband is a football supporter 🤣

Dont have anything else to say, in the male domain, it is a sacred subject, women enter at their peril

Russia says it rehearsed 'massive' nuclear strike

Russia has rehearsed its ability to deliver a "massive" nuclear strike, the Kremlin says.

The military exercise involved delivering a "response to an enemy nuclear strike", Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

State TV showed him recounting the rehearsal to President Vladimir Putin.

It comes as Russia's parliament backed the withdrawal of Moscow's ratification of a global treaty that bans all physical testing of nuclear warheads.

Failed attempt.
A joint special forces detachment of the IDF and the US Armed Forces was ambushed in the Gaza Strip
A joint special forces unit of the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and the US Armed Forces, which was on a mission to search for hostages in the Gaza Strip, was ambushed. As a result of the incident, the troops suffered serious losses and were forced to urgently leave the hot spot, returning to the territory of Israel.

According to preliminary data, at least 12 Israeli soldiers were killed in the ambush, and six others were injured in various ways. At the moment, it is not specified how many American soldiers could have been killed or injured as a result of this attack.

Details of the incident have not yet been disclosed, but it is worth noting that joint operations between the US and Israeli military in Gaza are rare. At the same time, Israel has not officially confirmed the death of its soldiers – the information was spread by the opposing side.

Tanks get lost faster than they can build them. A trend?
In Israel, two more Merkava-4 tanks were destroyed in a day
In the latest news from the front in the Middle East, it became known that another Merkava-4 tank was destroyed near the Avivim barracks located in northern Israel. This incident raised the total number of losses of the Israeli side to 38 tanks of this model.

According to reports, radical groups from Gaza caused the destruction of 23 Merkava-4 tanks, while the other 14 vehicles were destroyed as a result of Hezbollah's actions. In addition to these losses, it is reported that at least one of the Merkava-4 tanks overturned while moving, which led to its temporary unsuitability for combat operations, presumably for several months.

The Merkava-4 tank is considered one of the key combat vehicles in the arsenal of the Israeli army, known for its high mobility, security and firepower. The loss of such a number of tanks of this model can be a serious blow to the combat capability of the Israeli armed forces. According to reports, it is precisely because of the serious losses of this equipment that Israel cannot launch a ground operation in Gaza.

Despite the grimness of the current situation, it may be no bad thing to dig out a favourite old movie and watch it to take one's mind off all of the bad news coming out of the Middle East at the moment. Afterall, the C's did say to get out the pop corn.

Once Upon a time in the West. Dir. Sergio Leone

The Other Side of Deception »

“In the visible dimension, Hamas is an enemy, in the hidden dimension, it is an ally,” Israeli Major General Gershon Hacohen told Israeli magazine Walla News in 2021. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas his closest partner. The goal, according to the general: to prevent the two-state solution already agreed to in the 1993 Oslo Accords. This follows the time-tested principle of all powerful and ruling people: “divide and rule.”"For top strategists, the presence of Hamas in the remaining Palestinian territories could one day provide the necessary pretext for a final solution to the Palestinian question."Former Mossad employee Victor Ostrovsky also outlined Israeli goals in his 1994 book “The Other Side of Deception.”“An Arab world led by fundamentalists would not engage in negotiations with the West, so that Israel would once again become the only democratic and rational country in the region. And if Mossad could get Hamas (Palestinian fundamentalists) to take control of the Palestinian streets from the PLO, then the picture would be complete. »“In summary, most of the history of modern terrorism, not only since 2001 but really since World War II, has been a deception orchestrated by Western and Israeli intelligence agencies.”

Rybar status update translated via Slavyangrad:
🇮🇱🇸🇾🇮🇶🇺🇸 And again about mutual strikes between pro-Iranian groups and the Israel Defense Forces.

▪️Over the past 24 hours, the Israelis launched three strikes: they hit the positions of the Syrian Arab Army in the village. Karfa and Izra in the province of Daraa , from where, according to the Israelis, fire was fired at IDF positions in the occupied part of the Golan Heights .

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claims 20+ deaths in IDF strikes, including four officers. But there is confirmation on the Internet of the death of only one senior lieutenant of the SAA.

▪️Today, the Israelis once again (for the third time) hit the international airport of Aleppo , breaking logistics processes in northern Syria. The pro-Iranian formations are neither cold nor hot from these attacks: on the contrary, by leaking false information to the Israelis through agents controlled by them and provoking attacks, the Iranians support in the Syrians hatred towards the “Zionist entity” (as they call Israel).

▪️From Iraq, pro-Iranian formations fired at the positions of the US Armed Forces in the village. Khurab al-Jair in Hasakah province. Nothing is known about the results, but through this n.p. including the logistics route of the International Coalition in the Syrian Trans-Euphrates region.

▪️As a result of one of the attacks on the American air base Ain al-Assad in Iraq, one US military personnel was killed and over 20 were injured.

🔻In general, pro-Iranian formations are fulfilling the task of maintaining the required degree of confrontation. Moreover, sometimes such actions bring success - as in the case of the attack on Ain al-Assad.

But such approaches, of course, are not yet capable of systemic work. However, the pro-Iranian formations do not have the task of starting such work. But partisan activity—taking into account media exaggerations—is being conducted at the required (at the moment) level.

Israeli media: In Netanyahu's office, they are working to subject the cabinet ministers to a lie detector machine against the backdrop of tension in the political leadership.

Netanyahu is angry at the news published about disagreements between him and Gallant regarding launching a pre-emptive strike in the north.

Another wave of strikes reported on Tel Aviv:

Putin sees what's going on:
⚡🇷🇺Putin: The West wants to drag other countries and peoples into the conflict and create a real wave of chaos and mutual hatred not only in the Middle East but also beyond its borders. To this end, they are trying, among other things, to play on people's national and religious feelings. This policy has been in place for a long time. Muslims are being played off against Jews, Shiites against Sunnis, Orthodox Christians against Catholics. In Ukraine, they are working to ban the canonical Orthodox Church and deepen the schism in the Church. The purpose of these actions is clear: to multiply instability in the world.

The UN Secretary-General appears to be holding fast to his criticism of Israel:
UN Secretary-General Guterres stated that he was shocked by the misinterpretation of his words.

During his speech at the UN headquarters, Guterres pointed out that at the beginning of his address at the UN General Assembly yesterday, he condemned the terrorist attack.

In response to the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' explanations, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Erdan stated:

"It is a shame for the UN that the Secretary-General neither renounces nor apologizes for his clear words from yesterday. He must resign. A Secretary-General who fails to understand that the killing of innocents is unjustifiable and has no 'backstory' cannot hold the position of Secretary-General."

Statement by the Iranian Foreign Minister:
🇮🇷Iranian Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdollahian:

From the consultations I have held with the leaders of the region, especially the views of the resistance leaders, it is clear that if all measures to stop the infanticidal Zionist regime's attacks in Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip, do not produce immediate results, the war fronts may widen. Such a possibility is not excluded. And it is becoming more likely by the hour. The region is like a powder keg. It could explode at any moment. And all the players will lose control of the situation. Iran will not look the other way if this situation continues. If America does not stop this policy, the expansion of the war will become inevitable. And if that happens, the USA will suffer huge losses along with Israel.

Meanwhile, Biden thanks the Palestinians 🤣:

The tyrannical ethnosupremacist regime of Israel has killed the family of Al Jazeera’s Wael Dahdouh while he was on air covering its missile strikes

The targeted murder comes a day after Tony Blinken demanded Qatar suppress Al Jazeera’s coverage of Gaza

A year ago Israel cold-bloodedly assassinated live and direct the well-known Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh, today we have witnessed how Israel assassinated live and direct the entire family of veteran Al Jazeera reporter Wael Dahdouh.

Channel 13 journalist Zvi Yehezkeli admits Israel purposefully and premeditatedly murdered the family of Al Jazeera Gaza bureau chief Wael Dahdouh: “Generally we know the target. For example, today there was a target: the family of an Al Jazeera reporter. In general, we know.”

Oh my - reading the non-MSM article headlines makes it clear that the likelihood of enormous catastrophe is all but certain. And it is as the Cs said, "they" are being driven by forces they don't understand. That my own country is actively and aggressively fueling this fire is sickening:
At a private Manhattan fundraiser one year ago this month, President Joe Biden shared an assessment that he had not told the public. From his vantage point, Biden told the room of Democratic Party donors, the world faces “the prospect of Armageddon” for the first time “since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis.”
[...]
One year later, Biden is not only doubling down on his apocalyptic approach in Ukraine, but adding a second front in the Middle East. The White House has asked Congress for a new spending package that would provide over $14 billion for Israel’s assault on Gaza and more than $61 billion for Ukraine – the largest such request since Russia’s February 2022 invasion. Concurrently, the US is directly assisting Israeli atrocities and standing virtually alone to block global calls for a ceasefire – all while risking a wider regional confrontation.

In an Oval Office address last week, Biden dusted off George W. Bush’s “Axis of Evil” playbook to draw a direct tie between the Ukraine proxy war and Israel’s assault on Gaza. “Hamas and Putin represent different threats, but they share this in common: They both want to annihilate a neighboring democracy,” he said.

In another nod to neoconservative dogma, Biden appropriated Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell’s pitch to voters on funding the war in Ukraine. The weapons sent to Ukraine and now Israel, Biden explained, are “made in America” – including, he stressed, the election swing states of Pennsylvania and Ohio. “You know, just as in World War II, today patriotic American workers are building the arsenal of democracy and serving the cause of freedom.” According to Biden’s budget office, nearly half of his $106 billion request, $50 billion, will be spent on “the American defense industrial base.”

The House on Wednesday approved a resolution that expressed strong support for Israel, the first bill brought to the floor after Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) was elected as the chamber’s new speaker.

The resolution passed in a vote of 412-10 and says that the US “stands” with Israel in the wake of the October 7 Hamas attack and as Israel is relentlessly bombing Gaza. The resolution reaffirmed the US commitment to providing military aid to Israel and said Congress will work to pass more.

The bill says the House “stands ready to assist Israel with emergency resupply and other security, diplomatic, and intelligence support.” It also called for the US to continue enforcing sanctions on Iran and condemned the Hamas attack.

Nine Democrats voted against the resolution, including Reps. Jamaal Bowman (NY), André Carson (IN), Cori Bush (MO), Al Green (TX), Summer Lee (PA, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Ilhan Omar (MN), Delia Ramirez (IL) and Rashida Tlaib (MI). The sole Republican who voted against the measure was Rep. Thomas Massie (KY).

The latest escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict may further deteriorate if Iran decides to get involved and if the US continues to view Russia and China as enemies, Larry Johnson, an author and ex-Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) analyst, told Sputnik.

The situation surrounding a new escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict shows no sign of getting resolved, with Tel Aviv already into the third week of its bombardment of the Gaza Strip, currently under a full blockade.

These developments are unfolding as the US signals its full-fledged support for Israel, while Arab nations and Iran have indicated their intent to lend a helping hand to the Palestinians.

"It's more dangerous than the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. And with each passing day, we're getting closer to setting the world on fire," Johnson maintained. According to him, the fact that “nobody's taking their foot off the accelerator” is "just sort of stunning."

The main voice of sanity is, of course, Putin/Russia, accurately calling out the situation:
The West is fomenting religious hatred and intolerance to “divide and conquer” the world, to maintain a “new world order” that amounts to dominance and colonialism, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday.

Meeting with leaders of Russia’s religious communities at the Kremlin, Putin addressed the current conflict in the Middle East and warned that “Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, and Russophobia” were being used as weapons against a multipolar world.

“The West sees how the process of forming a multipolar world order is gaining momentum. And in order to restrain the development of independent, sovereign countries, to split the world majority, they use the same means,” Putin said. These forces want “the epidemic of violence and hatred” to engulf not just the Middle East but to Eurasia, he warned.

“Muslims are being set against Jews, calling for ‘war with the infidels’. Shiites are pitted against Sunnis, Orthodox Christians against Catholics. In Europe, they turn a blind eye to blasphemy and vandalism against Muslim shrines. In a number of countries, Nazi criminals and anti-Semites, with the blood of Holocaust victims on their hands, are openly glorified at the official level. In Ukraine, they are moving towards banning the canonical Orthodox Church and deepening the church schism,” the Russian president added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that the situation in the Gaza Strip is a "humanitarian catastrophe."

Speaking at a meeting in Moscow with representatives of different religions, Putin said "innocent people must not pay for crimes committed by others."

The president opposed the principle of "collective responsibility," saying in this case, the elderly, women, children and entire families die.

Putin reiterated Russia's position on a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian crisis, arguing that "this is the key to a long-term and fundamental settlement and peace in the Middle East.”

The situation in the world remains tense, which includes both the special military operation area and Russia’s neighboring states, where NATO continues to build up its military potential, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said during a meeting on staffing of the Armed Forces.

"The situation in the world and around Russia remains tense. <…> This is true both for the special military operation area and the neighboring countries, where the NATO bloc constantly builds up its military potential," Medvedev said.

Some good insights in this article although I don't believe the author truly appreciates what he's saying here -
I’m friendly towards Israel, if only because it represents Western values far more than do the Muslims.
- I think we all know what "Western values" really are and they're not the positive he thinks they are! Still has blinders on, osit! A good read nonetheless:
Our main interest is keeping the United States out of this thing. We’re 330 million people. About 7.6 million are Jews, and 3.6 million are Arab. The rest of us don’t want to have anything to do with what amounts to a Biblical domestic dispute that could easily turn into World War 3.

On the one hand, I say “a pox on both your houses” because they’re fomenting World War 3. On the other hand, I wish them both well. It’s just none of our business. For the US to take sides is insane and can only make things much, much worse.

I’m friendly towards Israel, if only because it represents Western values far more than do the Muslims. But I can’t see that it has a rosy future for at least two reasons. One, as Yassar Arafat once said, the Palestinians will win because their most effective weapon is the womb of the Palestinian woman. Demographics are on the side of the Palestinians. Not to mention that the Israelis are outnumbered 100-1 by hostile worldwide Muslims—it has to do with what the Prophet (or Allah) said in the Koran. Two, Israel has nuclear weapons. As can any Muslim government that wants them. The result will be like a knife fight in a phone booth.

It's getting oh so real and the prospects are terrifying! Like it or not, maybe we just have the accept the results of psychopaths gone mad with the following in mind:
A: You will proceed as needed, you cannot force these events or alter the Grand Destiny.

🙏
