For those with RO devices and distillers and purifiers of various sorts. I recommend buying a water purity tester to check just how pure your water is. It will tell you, in parts per million, how pure your "pure" water is. Distilled water should be between 0 and 3 or 4 ppm.

Just search online for "water purity tester". Shouldn't be more than 10-15 USD/Euros

Thanks for that. Sounds like a really good idea to go for.

The question now arises: which water is pure enough to drink?

Maybe when I find some time I wil have a look.

Oh my, I just found this thread at the right time!

In FL we had a whole house system: water softener and then an RO system for cooking with a separate spigot on the kitchen sink. It wasn't bad, but to me, it just wasn't quite the same as distilled which I COULD get at the supermarket for about 75 cents a gallon. What I noticed about the water softener was that it pulled all the undissolved minerals out of the water and REALLY made a difference in my dishwasher, washing machine and water heater (not to mention the bathtub and shower). Before, we had had to replace the heating element in our water heater about four times over 6 years because the tank would get so full of precipitated minerals that there was a layer of sludge in there about 6 inches deep. The calcium buildup on the inside of the washer, dishwasher and bathtub and shower would be so bad that you could observe it building over a period of just days. I spent a small fortune on products to dissolve calcium deposits.

We don't seem to have so severe a calcium problem here in France. There is some, but it builds up very slowly, over a couple of months instead of just days. I still have to use anti-calcium cleaners now and again, but not nearly so often.

Since calcium buildup in the body is a serious problem for me (and other members of my family, and people I know), I suspect that this is one of the chief evils of water that has not been seriously purified. Before I started drinking distilled water, I was in constant, intractable pain from the spurs on the spine. I had friends (several of them) who had gone as far as surgery to remove such things - and it wasn't a simple job in some cases. So, when the chiropractor suggested distilled water, I was ready to try anything. Now, after drinking it almost exclusively for about ten years, I guess I can say that either I no longer have the spurs, or they are greatly reduced.

The result of a mineral test analysis has just arrived, and my calcium levels were so high that they literally blew off the chart. :/ I have been wondering how has this happened? It now makes sense, the water here is very, very hard.
Coincidentally, I bought my first water filter yesterday. A simple one, of activated charcoal, mainly something transitional before getting a reversed osmosis filter. But after reading this thread, I might just get a distiller... It was really enlightening to read the differences between water filterers.
Something interesting to notice, since yesterday's purchase, the water tastes so good (compared to what I have been drinking all these years) that I have since drunk several liters, which is unusual for me. It almost feels that my body has been craving for clean water all this time.

Thanks for that Perceval. Very useful tip.

I've purchased distilled water from a local distilling company for a long time. Recently I became concerned about storing this water in plastic bottles. The bottles this company provides are clear plastic with #7 printed on the bottom. I was using other plastic bottles with various number designations.

Recently I switched to all glass bottles. I bought some 1 gallon glass bottles rather cheaply from a wine making shop. They are heavier for sure and more care is needed in transport but the water tastes much cleaner, and fresher.

Hi Mac,

Number 7 is apparently labeled on plastics containing bisphenol A (a very toxic chemical).

Here's an article dealing with this topic.

http://thecrashpad.com/blogs/index.php/2008/04/12/number-7-plastic?blog=8 said:
Scientists are warning consumers about the safety of plastics in everything from bottles to the lining in canned goods. Their concern is over the chemical Bisphenal A and a leading researcher from the University of Missouri (Columbia) said the chemical should be seen as more dangerous than lead in paint or asbestos, because it is more widespread.

Professor Fred Vom Saal said Bisphenal A, or BPA, which mimics the effects of estrogen, can be found in clear, hard plastics, as well as the liners of cans -- soda cans, beer cans and canned food.

Vom Saal said the chemical can lead to prostate, ovarian and breast cancer. It can damage immune systems, brain function and cause infertility.

He said those most susceptible to BPA are individuals already at risk for cancer and people trying to have children, but most of Vom Saal's concern is for unborn babies and newborns.

"You do not see the damage in your baby at birth," Vom Saal said. "This chemical programs the equivalent of a time bomb into your baby's body and that time bomb a will be expressed later on in life as a potentially incurable disease."

Professor Vom Saal recommends consumers get rid of any 'No. 7' plastics in your house. They are usually hard plastic that you can see through. Look on the bottom of the container for the number seven.

There are alternatives to those plastics on the market. Consumers should look for products that say 'BPA Free' on the packaging.

Hi, Belibaste: Yes, so I discovered in my research. I've been a little apprehensive about bringing my glass bottles in to fill at their place, since their entire business depends on their #7 plastic bottles. :halo: We'll see how it goes.

The small distillers shown in the posts above are intriguing, though. Would save trips if they work well. Questions to research, how much electricity do they use, how much work to clean and maintain.

FWIW,

I use this machine:

Distillate Capacity 6 Gallons (22.7 liters) in 24 hours
Dimensions 15” (38 cm) Height, 9" (23 cm) Diameter
Net Weight 8.4 Ibs (3.8 kgs)
Rating 120VAC/60Hz 800W
International 240VAC/50Hz 800W

but there are other alternatives available, also in the costs, it depends where you live. For example in America are these machines cheaper than in Europe.

And for a single household it's quiet affordable, every two days I'm using this machine (producing the water for drinking and cooking). Another filter-system, carbon for example you get much more water out of it in a shorter time.
For the cleaning side, if you don't let the water "burn" down like in the picture below can be seen, it's quiet helpfull to leave a rest of undistilled water in the machine (switch of the machine before it is finished). Put some winegar with tabwater in it, leave it a while and rub the chalk with your hands away (the vinegar does the main work). So there is some afford needed for maintaining. ;)

Oh yeah, I used till today a container with this description for my distiller :(. The best way is to go for glass, or to look for further details of the specific container.

I'm really excited about the all the buzz my patients are making about this revolutionary antioxidant generating, health restoring machine. Patients are driving an hour or more and standing in line at my clinic each day to get their sample bottles filled with the water from my Kangen Water SD501 machine.

My patients love the taste and health boosting benefits of this machine. I just had to share this information with Hugh and he asked me to be on his guest for his tele-conference -

"Change Your Water Change Your Life."

Enagic, the company that makes the Kangen Water machines is a 35 year company and it's product, which is now in 20% of Japanese homes, most Japanese hospitals and clinics, is medically approved (equivalent to our FDA) for treating GI and skin disorders.

The Kangen machines are the only ionized alkaline water machines to be endorsed by the 6,500 members of the Japanese Preventative Medical Association.

Kangen Water is the only water-ionizing machine recommended by the Japanese Preventative Medical Society.

It is also endorsed by it's medical spokesperson, Hiromi Shinya, M.D., author of the best selling book The Enzyme Factor (sold 2 million copies), co-creator of the colonoscopy (he's done over 300,000 colonoscopies), vice-chairman of the Japanese Medical Association, professor of surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and head of the endoscopic center of Beth Israel Hospital.

Dr. Shinya reports that every one of his patients that follow his alkaline diet and drink Kangen Water for 3 weeks STAY free of colon cancer and inflammation.

You can see the public television broadcast videos featuring Dr. Shinya illustrating the health restoring power of Kangen Water.

Dr. Shinya and numerous doctors all agree-Kangen Water is perhaps the best health investment you could ever make.

Here's Why - 75% of the body is made up of water. We must drink water on a daily basis to survive.

Yet we all know that tap water is poison. And we are now learning that bottle water, along with being a drain on the environment, isn't healthy either. And even if you're using reverse osmosis or charcoal filters on your tap water, you're still not drinking healthy water.

Watch the video demonstration on Hugh's site: www.magicwaterinfo.com and you'll see the problem with reverse osmosis and filtered water. Reverse osmosis water and even regular filtered tap water is "dead water" missing the antioxidants that could be had by drinking Kangen Water.

Antioxidant Rich Kangen Water-Ten Times Stronger Than Green Tea

The machine easily hooks up to your sink faucet. Ordinary tap water runs through a filter, which removes any harmful chemicals (chlorine, metals, toxins, etc.) and then passes the water through seven electrically charged titanium, platinum coated plates. This process cleaves one of the hydrogen molecule (H2O becomes H1) and what is left is a hydroxyl molecule.

Hydroxyls have a negative charge meaning they are antioxidants. Free radical's have a positive charge.

Free radicals accelerate aging, inflammation and cellular death. One free radical can damage as many as 20 million cells in a fraction of a second.

Removing one of the hydrogen molecules not only makes the water a potent antioxidant, it also makes the water molecule smaller, which in turn makes it more affective in getting into and hydrating the cells.

By driving more oxygen and water into the cell, as well as the nutrients that are carried around the body through water, the person starts to see some pretty amazing health benefits-more energy, improved mental clarity, less pain, no more reflux, IBS, and other chronic illnesses.

And because the water is micro-clustered (smaller) it tastes wetter, softer, smoother-it tastes great. People love drinking this water.

Baby boomers are fanatical about staying young. They spend billions of dollars a year on potions, lotions, exercise equipment, cosmetic surgery-anything to slow down the inevitable, aging. Three hundred and thirty people turn 60 every hour!

One of the best ways to slow down the ageing process is to load the body up with a daily supply of antioxidants.

What if by simply drinking water you could slow down the effects of free radical damage, aging, inflammation, and improve your overall health?

With Kangen Water you can.

To distil or not to distil; this week stopped at the local water company to explore options for water. The owner, much to my surprise, had no knowledge of some of the things discussed here. He was particularly fixated on Reverse Osmosis and that was not what my interest was. Asked if he had any Distillers, which he then produced a product from the back room – 5 litre capacity and looks exactly like the one Linked by thinker (third one shown for $169.00);

http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?topic=12588.msg90128#msg90128

This is the only one they had and he said it was a popular brand. Checked the plastic in container and it was indeed demarcated # 7 plastic which was also discussed in the threads here.

Wanting to explore further i then followed the post by Trevrizent, http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?topic=12588.msg136889#msg136889 whereby an article by Dr Rodger Murphree was discussed and within was the link to http://www.magicwaterinfo.com/ and the Kangan Water machine with many videos that were impressive.

Then went back to read a Post by Psyche, which brought me back to just the plain old distiller concept, although for washing vegetables/fruit and other applications the Kangan system was interesting but it is not distilled and also, at least on the web site Country of sale listing, sells for $600.00 unless purchased by someone in the representative chain. One of the things that was impressive was how different Ph values settings on this device help one to assimilate supplements into the body much more efficiently then when taken with water in general.

However, here is the Post by Psyche and quote;

Some people here have purchased different systems, in the final analysis, is the garden variety stainless steel lined distiller with glass bottle the way to go?

Is there something that I am not seeing or should one, if spending dollars take a serious look at this Kagan machine?

Thanks in advance for the help here! :)

Hey Parallax, I have that distiller from a1 distillers. I haven't been able to find a glass gallon container to fit it, so I've been using a half gallon pitcher. I think they sell the gallon jugs for $50, but I haven't been satisfied enough to shell that out. My distiller takes about two hours or more to make that half gallon. It's the 3.5 hr model, so it shouldn't take 2 hours to distill half a gallon. Maybe they sent me the 5 hour one. Well, I thought I'd share that. I'm just not very satisfied with my experiences, maybe others have experienced otherwise.

Last I spent some time looking at the pros and cons of various water purification systems, at the time I was using a Brita filtration system. One of the systems that I investigated was distillation: the jury seemed to be out on the benefits of such a system. However, I went ahead and bought one and use it for about a month (it did have a glass collector), however one problem I had with the system was a random water leakage from the carbon filter placed at the end of the process, before exiting into the collector spout. It would be alright at the beginning of the cycle, then leak before resealing itself for the rest of the cycle. Also, I spoke to Mark at Get-Fitt about distilled water and had his doubts about its use, because of the ionisation and pH problems.

I then explored using salt crystals (specifically Sole) and in the process bought the book ‘Water and Salt. The Essence of Life’ by Dr. med. Barabara Hendel and Peter Ferreira, the reading of which was quite revealing. Quoting on the Chapter The Water – the Pillar of Life, and specifically the sub-headings of The Quality of our water and The Processing of Water.
Mineral Waters under Scrutiny
First we must differentiate between inorganic minerals, those that come directly from the soil, and organically bound minerals. […] The minerals found in mineral water, however, are mostly too coarse to be absorbed by our body. Even worse, when the water is “dead”, it prevents our body from passing toxins. In general, the fewer minerals a water contains, the greater is its cleansing power. In “Living Water,” the water prevents its mineral elements from building molecular connections. This way the elements remain ionized in colloidal form, as part of the molecule cluster of the water with its geometric pattern, and have no harmful effects on our body. If, on the other hand, the hydrating framework is destroyed by adding carbon to the water, the various elements can unite as inorganic molecular connections. This scenario is demonstrated by the calcification in our body, in which a combination of calcium and hydrocarbonates is clogging our arteries.

On Drinking Waters
The best water for our health is living, natural, unaltered, mature spring water that is most often low in minerals. It is this kind of water that biophysically has the characteristics of high life-energy: electromagnetic frequencies and vibration patterns that resonate with those in our body. Despite the biophysical quality of water, you should also make sure your natural spring or artesian water is not only low in minerals bur also free from pollutants. Nitrate values over 0.03 ounce per 2 pints are officially in the safe range and allowed. However, they are not recommended.

In the US alone there are hundreds of brands of bottled waters and as many speciality drinking waters defined and labelled as “artesian,” “distilled,” “drinking,” “mineral,” “purified,” ”sparkling,” and “spring” water. Natural waters include spring waters and mineral waters and, as such, must be bottled directly at the source. Unnatural waters include sparkling or carbonated water and most drinking water.

Water without Structure
In the US, water containing at least 250 parts per million of totally dissolved solids may be labelled as mineral water. For commercial reasons, good quality spring waters are often carbonated. This process extracts the natural hydrogen of the water and adds artificial nitrogen instead. In this way the taste isn’t altered, but all germs are destroyed, helping to extend the water’s shelf life. But germs, bacteria and fungi can only be found in spring water that has not fully matured or fully developed its crystalline structure. Water needs time to mature and form a crystalline structure. Most spring waters found in supermarkets are immature and are therefore carbonated or ozonated, which destroys the frequency pattern and can be considered as dead, because they have lost most of their information content. Unfortunately the consumer cannot determine whether the water they are buying has been ozonated or left natural, because there is no obligation to declare this information. On the other hand, waters that are ozonated are not allowed to advertise the fact, due to German laws regarding commercial competition.

But the quality of drinking water available at the marketplace can change and other waters are constantly emerging to replace those currently available. […] If additionally the water is processed, the natural, inherent bioenergetic properties of water, its electromagnetic frequencies and vibration patterns that resonate with those in our body, are altered. The resultant dissonant frequencies in the water have adverse side effects on our body. Drinking such devitalized water that is unable to carry the necessary information in the form of nutrients and vitality to our system, will only create chaos in our body and we will have to suffer the consequences.

Some facts about Mineral Water
[…] You should be aware that neither carbonated water nor chlorinated tap water counts towards the two quarts of water that you should be drinking every day to maintain or achieve optimal health.

Facts about Water
Drinking water in the US alone is polluted by up to 300 pesticides and fungicides.

The pressure in the water pipes destroys the structure of the water.

The minerals in the mineral water are too coarse to be absorbed by the body. Therefore, they are of no value for our body and can even be damaging to our health.

It is best to drink natural, pollutant-free, and unaltered water that is low in minerals.

Immature spring waters have not yet built their geometric, crystalline structure and therefore have no value for our health.

Carbonated and ozonated waters are dead waters and have no value for our health.

The Processing of Water
[…] more and more people in the US are looking for alternative solutions to the drinking-water problem. This has created a totally new industry in America: the processing of drinking water. Two types of facilities have been developed: one for biochemical processing, and another for the energetic processing of drinking water. Methods for the biochemical removal of pollutants include active carbon filtration, ionization, reverse osmosis or steam distillation.

It is Biochemical Processing of Drinking Water
Steam distillation devises remove all chemical pollutants, minerals, and trace elements, leaving H2O of a purity that can not be found in nature. Therefore steam distillation creates aggressive water, as the pure H2O immediately tries to bind itself to all elements. With reverse osmosis devices the quality of the water depends on the membrane of the device. The benefit of reverse osmosis is its ability to remove, nearly entirely, any kind of pollutant and the fact that no energy is needed for this process, as it works with water pressure. However, far more water is used for this process than is produced fro drinking (with high quality devises the ratio is about 1 to 3). […]

Energizing water
[…]

Be cautious with Water Energizing Devices
When buying a water-energizing device, make sure the manufacturer didn’t confuse physics with chemistry. Water energizing manufacturers often suggest that their devises make tap water safe for drinking. […] Any pollutant that is in your tap water will still be there after it flows through such a device because transforming the vibrational frequency of a pollutant means transforming the pollutant itself. The matter making up a pollutant is dependent on the energy responsible for giving it its force. If the pollutant hasn’t been transformed and is still present after chemical analysis, then its negative effects have not been transformed either. Physics must not be confused with chemistry. So if you choose to artificially process your tap water, then you should first remove all toxins chemically, for example with a good reverse osmosis device, and then revitalize it with an energizing devise.

Water Revitalization with Quartz Crystals
A natural, very effective and inexpensive method to revitalize your drinking water is to use quartz crystals. Simply place a handful of quartz crystals, […] in a glass decanter or jar. In the evening, fill the container with filtered or purified tap water or artesian spring water that you have purchased in a bottle. Pour in only as much as you intend to drink the following day and let it sit for at least eight hours.

Measurements have shown that the surface tension of crystal soaked water reaches values similar to those of water processed by reenergizing devices. The hexagonal structure of the quartz crystals is capable of partially restoring the original, flexible structure of water; this method is applied by many pricey energizing devices that just use simple quartz sand. Crystals cannot remove the toxins from the water, but they can help to transform them and give your water a crystalline and more orderly condition.

Be aware that whatever approach you try to make your tap water better, it will never become a genuine, living water such as natural artesian water, where Nature was allowed hundreds of years of time to rejuvenate and recharge it with her energy potentials.

Processing of Tap Water
Water can be processed chemically and/or energetically.

Distillation devices produce the purest water, however they create aggressive H2O whose geometric structure is almost completely destroyed.

Osmosis devices can remove nearly all toxins, but they fail to transform the negative vibration patterns (memory) left from the toxins, and they force the water to surrender all of its crystalline structure.

Energetic revitalization cannot remove toxins.

Quartz crystals reform water’s crystalline structure over time.

Ideally, if you choose to drink tap water, you should first remove the toxins with a reverse osmosis device and then revitalize the water by soaking it in crystals for at least eight hours.

Whatever approach you take to improve your tap water, be aware that it will never become a genuine, living water such as natural artesian water, where nature had hundreds of years of time to rejuvenate and recharge it with its energy potentials.

It was this revelation of ‘lack of structure’ and ‘aggressive water’ that led me back to using filtered water and revitalizing that water with quartz crystals, with the distiller relegated to the cupboard, practically unused, to get back to something approaching ‘living water’.

I know this view is somewhat different from many other members of the forum, yet it is what I have arrived at rationally as the approach for me to use. If I had the choice I would probably opt for a reverse osmosis device rather than use the Brita filter.

Was just about to Post this last night and my faithful web server shut me out again. :curse:

Ok, appreciate your responses, both you 3D and Trevrizent seem to have had issues with the distillers and the ancillary information Trevrizent by Dr. Barabara Hendel and Peter Ferreira was most interesting and similar to Viktor Schauberger’s thinking.

It seems clear that distillers remove minerals which are beneficial (also discussed elsewhere on the forum), but it also destroys structure; however the discussion about it being “Aggressive” needs to be given more thought. It also is clear that reverse osmosis has benefits too.

Trevrizent said:
Also, I spoke to Mark at Get-Fitt about distilled water and had his doubts about its use, because of the ionisation and pH problems.

Do you recall what was said about the pH in particular? Did you ever test your distilled pH; not sure yet what this looks like in terms of an average value, suppose this is influenced by what the initial readings where prior to distilling.

Glad you are trying out the crystallized water, hope to hear more on this as you discover.

Think a lot more reasoning/reading is going to be involved before rushing into a system for such a fundamentally important fluid that we require for good physicality and to help detoxifying impurities out. Not sure if perhaps different waters e.g. distilled (aggressive) sometimes, intermixed with other regimes should be considered or just adding substances as Psyche suggested; changing the aggressive nature (influence) would be best?

Will post again as information is revaluated; Thanks to Flashgordonv for information on the Kagan being in 20% of Japanese homes; yes it is very expensive, rechecked the order forum in large font and it says $600 which was the 15% restocking charge – good grief.

Also, revisiting the transcript;

Q: What is heavy water? (Ark) Instead of normal hydrogen,

atomic plants.

There has been some discussion here in the Forum about Heavy water, the chemical composition translation from the transcript, and what constitutes this. In thinking about this there is also the literal translation for heavy as being dense, so in this light, as has been described by Schauberger, that water is densest at 4 degrees Celsius or 39F.

Also, something else that seems odd and I do not know if this was verbatim from one of his books, which I do not have or someone added it to the statement seemingly quoted from Schauberger; here is the article ‘Liquid Memory, Do We Really Know Water?’ located as follows;

http://www.frank.germano.com/viktorschauberger_2.htm

Distilled water - Distilled water is evaporated to steam then condensed as a pure fluid; it appears chemically clean. In this state, water by it's intrinsic nature, will draw to it's self anything it can dissolve in order to fulfill a basic function...that of a carrier of substances. Distilled water will only remain so, as long as it is not given the opportunity to make contact with soluble materials. Drinking distilled water as a regular routine is dangerous! It acts as a purgative and will strip trace elements and minerals from your body! Don't buy too much of this stuff at the shops and don't use a distiller to drink from...you have been warned!

Bold emphasis mine.

When thinking about this statement of his, he at the time did not have the tools of science to study the biological human and what the various states of water do; obviously his statements must have been made via his observations or some other way; maybe he thought about it being void of minerals was the problem? It seems that from what one reads distilled water acts very well as a carrier, diffuser of substances allowing them to enter the body well.

So will end this here for now being still confused and look at this a little deeper; however to add something more, something of the properties of distilled water, here is a link to a very short thing about water and “Ice Spikes” which is only possible apparently with distilled water.

http://www.neatorama.com/2008/08/22/5-really-weird-things-about-water/

Ice Spikes

Ice spikes are, well, spikes that grow out of ice cube trays. They look like stalagmites found in caves, and you can make 'em yourself using distilled water. Kenneth G. Libbrecht of SnowCrystals explains:

How do Ice Spikes Form?

Ice spikes grow as the water in an ice cube tray turns to ice. The water first freezes on the top surface, around the edges of what will become the ice cube. The ice slowly freezes in from the edges, until just a small hole is left unfrozen in the surface. At the same time, while the surface is freezing, more ice starts to form around the sides of the cube.

Since ice expands as it freezes, the ice freezing below the surface starts to push water up through the hole in the surface ice (see diagram). If the conditions are just right, then water will be forced out of the hole in the ice and it will freeze into an ice spike, a bit like lava pouring out of a hole in the ground to makes a volcano. But water does not flow down the sides of a thin spike, so in that way it is different from a volcano. Rather, the water freezes around the rim of the tube, and thus adds to its length. The spike can continue growing taller until all the water freezes, cutting off the supply, or until the tube freezes shut. The tallest spike we've seen growing in an ordinary ice cube tray was 56mm (2.2in) long. (Source)

I've been drinking distilled water for over a month now. I thought as long as you take a multivitamin and balance the Ph it's ok for you. I've thought about reverse osmosis, which seems a lot more practical than my counter top distiller, but it seems expensive to waste 6+ gallons of water for one clean gallon. Our water bills have risen recently and my mom said she didn't like the idea of the wasted water. There are large stand up distillers that look like barbecue grills though.

After reading information on the alternatives of drinking water and going through most of this thread, I was pretty much convinced that Distilled Water was the way to go until I had read the article recently posted by Trevrizent.

What to do, what to do. It seems that RO will use up quite a lot of tap water, and being in a similar situation as 3D Student, I'm under constraints from my mom who will go ballistic if I use 6 gallons of water for one clean gallon. They are still under the impression that fluoride is good for you, and not too happy as it is about the fact that I started purchasing distilled water that come in giant plastic jugs, which have harmful chemicals in themselves. It seems some how, some way I'm ingesting something that is harmful.

So, the methods to use are intention, breathing, using the pillar of
light, and spinning. We will add a postscript to these. As you are
electronic beings who are altering your frequency at a very fast rate,
we would recommend that you drink a tremendous amount of water: fresh
water, purified water, or spring water
. Water acts as a conduit or
conductor. It keeps your system open and flowing.

I'm thinking the possible best solution for me as of now would be to purchase the Natural Spring Water Jugs at the Supermarket, transfer them immediately to glass containers upon opening, and using quartz crystal to 'purify' the water I'm going to drink each day. Does this seem reasonable? If so, Trevrizent, I'm curious how much quartz crystal you use in regards to water and how often do you have to replace the quartz crystal?

I've been drinking distilled water for over a month now. I thought as long as you take a multivitamin and balance the Ph it's ok for you. Yes from most posts on the forum, multivitamins and balancing pH seems to be the way to go, many say they do well with it. Have been drinking distilled water from plastic bottles on and off and this is why such curiosity to look to a good system to purchase. Using up potable water 6:1 is not something that would go over well in our house too - water wise as your mom said.

Have to say, without full comprehension of the properties of water and there is so many interesting things said, the Schauberger comment about distilled water really through me off and am trying to comprehend why he said what he said.
