What are you listening to?

Thx for that but personally I have no idea why I get attracted to this sometime.

Wouldn't you like to be one who chooses what to listen to with conscious intent, the one who makes the choice, instead of "it" happening to you? You might be able to improve your mood by your conscious choices this way, instead of being in a bad mood for no good reason at all ;)

Have you read this advice from the C's?
April 9, 2011

Q: ...Why have we all been feeling so inflamed/low on energy/depressed/irritable for the last two weeks?

A: Cosmic changes in process. Each person experiences this differently according to genetics and environment. Recall previous sufferings preparatory to DNA boosts? All must keep vigilant about diet and psychic hygiene during this time as there are also external factors that seek to block the natural process.

Q: (L) Does this have anything to do with our super-moon dance?

A: Indeed. And recall that the universe is about balance. After each period of suffering there is always joy.

Q: (Burma Jones) What do they mean by “psychic hygiene”?

A: Being careful about what you allow into your ”field”.

Q: (L) In what sense?

A: All senses.

Q: (L) What do you mean “all senses”?

A: Seeing, hearing, speaking, and so on

On that note (pun intended), here's Sull'Aria by Mozart that imo is a beautiful piece of objective art.

Many here aren't into hip-hop I know, but this song is just awesome, and quite funny. I especially like the verse about religious leaders, mainly the catholic church.

"Once upon a time in an obscure part of the Milky Way galaxy, there was a spinning ball of water and rock ruled by the forces of evil..."

Oh, and also GusGus - Believe, Live version.
I'm not much into lyrics, but they sound great to me now.

At this time, I'm listening mostly Russian and Ukranian folk music. One is "The night is so full of moon light and stars" (sorry, my translation) here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkayYmlzWJU and the other - "It's very bright in my room" (my translation again :)) here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XGtczx98u0 The voices of the women singers are just amazing, osit. It a very uplifting music for me. If someone needs the English translation, don't hesitate to ask: I'll try to do it myself or will look for translation on the Internet.

Oh, and how I could forget the Schedryk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HERnFfbcIxY :)

I find that Calexico`s Sunken Waltz applies well to my current situation. :)

Washed my face in the rivers of empire
Made my bed from a cardboard crate
Down in the city of quartz

No news, no new regrets
Tossed a susan b. over my shoulder
And prayed it would rain and rain
Submerge the whole western states

Call it a last fair deal
With an american seal
And corporate hand shake

Take the story of carpenter mike
Dropped his tools and his keys and left
And headed out as far as he could
Past the cities and gated neighborhoods

He slept 'neath the stars
Wrote down what he dreamt
And he built a machine
For no one to see
Then took flight, first light, of new morning

I'm glad you like it, SMM. :) You want translations to all three? Please tell me which ones? I just need a couple of days to do it.

Hi, SMM. I found translations of the first two songs on the Internet, although they're not very good, osit. I probably couldn't do a better job, so here you go. :) The second one here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XGtczx98u0 is titled In My Room or Full of light is room of mine...

Full of light is room of mine.
Light is coming from afar.
So brightly heavens shine
Twinkling with a bright night star.

Keeping silence all the time
Dear mother takes a pail.
Stars above still brighter shine
And the water tastes like ale.

Dark-red flowers of mine
In my garden all did die.
And in low waters' clime
Soon the boat will rot and die...

Shadow from willow, like lace,
Slumbers softly on my wall.
Tomorrow's day, I'll face,
Will be troublesome all-in-all.

I'll be constructing canoe.
Till nigth star arises at noon.
I shall water flowers too
Thinking of my own doom.

I don't know who made the translation. It was posted on many different sites. It's pretty close to the original text in meaning, except for a couple of things:

first, the second verse

"Keeping silence all the time
Dear mother takes a pail.
Stars above still brighter shine
And the water tastes like ale"

doesn't exist in the original text as a whole. It should be only "Dear mother of mine will take the pail and bring some water silently";

second, in the 3rd verse here in "Tomorrow's day, I'll face, Will be troublesome all-in-all", when it should be "Tomorrow, under it I will have a busy day," osit;

third, and this is a serious flaw in translation, in the last verse is the last word 'doom'. It should be 'destiny', instead. The word 'doom' rhymes here, but it completely distorts the meaning. :O

The translation of the first song here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkayYmlzWJU

The night is so bright

That under the full moon

A needdle is easy to find.

Come out, my loved one,
Tired from working [so] hard,

Into the garden at night.

As we sit down

Together under the tree,

I feel as rich as The King!

Look how pretty

The silver fog's spreading

Over the grass in the field.

Don't be afraid, darling,

To make your pretty feet
Wet in the early thick dew.
I'll pick you up,

And will carry around

As long as you want me to do.

Don't be afraid of the cold

Under the moonlight

The air is quiet and calm

I will embrace you

And hold to my burning heart

You will stay warm in my arms.
