What are you listening to?

I have just been listening to this house mix from London producer Jeremy Duff

Revisiting tunes, now that I'm back on the newly designed MySpace, from a local band (York, PA) that made it big at one time, Live. Interestingly enough, they have recently reformed, only without lead singer, Ed Kowalczyk. Not sure how that will turn out, but I love their old tunes, so without further adieu, :D we give you..........

Live - You are the World
[ _http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XUlGwIKmBQ ]

If you've ever known love
If you've ever known peace
If you've ever known joy
Make sure that you are on time

If you've ever known war
If you've ever known pain
If you've ever said no
Make sure that you are on time
You are on time
You are on time
We are on time

For you are the world
For you are the world
For you are the world
For you are the world

If you've ever known love
If you've ever known peace
If you've ever known joy
Make sure that you are on time

If you've ever known war
If you've ever known pain
If you've ever said no
Make sure that you are on time
You are on time
You are on time
We are on time

For you are the world
For you are the world
For you are the world
For you are the world

Fighting, mating, warring
You are all this now
Be aware, not scared
Look at me now
Silence
I say

You are the world
You are the world
You are the world
You are the world

If you've ever known love
If you've ever known peace
If you've ever known joy
Make sure that we are on time

I had sent this to someone a long time ago and they sent it back just the other day - it helped. This song, which i cannot translate, speaks a universal language.

Wazimbo "Nwahulwana" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOskk0xlUG0

Another modern variation of the rhythm is very uplifting and features Nwahuluana - Wazimbo and others in joy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKRb2r-GSEM

Think the song repeats "Eu sou daqui", which may translate to "I am here".

Hope you enjoy.

Thank you for sharing, voyager. I liked the melody. Found the lyrics translation here http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_English_Translation_of_the_lyrics_to_Wazimbo_Nwahulwana

This seems to be the common translation. Maria is a beautiful young lady, who has a different man every night.
"Nwahulwana" (Night Bird). "You are a night bird, moving after dark from bar to bar. My sister, how long will you count men in the streets? If you continue like this, my darling, who will want to marry you?" And so he continues to express his sadness at her lifestyle, and how she is wasting her life."

Here are the original words translated to Portuguese, I think _http://mosanblog.wordpress.com/2010/11/20/wazimbo-por-belia/
