My apologies for late response, voyager. When I click on the link, I get a blank page. I don't know why it's not working for me. I've tried several times with the same result.

No apologies necessary; ok, hmmm, it still worked for me just now, and there is this other link you can try here that worked, too - https://soundcloud.com/tud-nakhon-moscowfish

This is a very nice song. While listening I was wondering if it was from an African singer. Then I read he is from Thailand. But listening to him suddenly I thought about my ex-husband, an African musician (he is dead now) that created a very interesting group named BOUTATA. One of his song, my favorite, came to my mind listening Tud Nakhon & Moscowfish. Something in the language, the words, even if we don't understand them, seems they have something in common.

Here is the song of Ibou Gueye, Vas y Vaso.

Hi, voyager, this link gave me the same results: blank page when I clicked on it. But I think I found it here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2fdlfBQXdU although it is called "Going Home". Amazing song, osit. Soft and soothing. Very healing. And it does has an ancient feel to it. It was very timely for me, personally. Thank you very much :)

And, c.a. and Loreta, thanks to both of you :) Very good music. I enjoyed it very very much.

Fantastic these two voices, strong like the voices of two gods. Pavarotti and James Brown.

That is brilliant. Not heard it before and loved it :)

Here I think one of the best "Harlem Nocturne". This song has many many versions. Everyone has a personality. This one is obscure, very black.

Bob Marley

Could you be loved and be loved?
Could you be loved and be loved?

Don't let them fool ya,
Or even try to school ya! Oh, no!
We've got a mind of our own,
So go to hell if what you're thinking is not right!
Love would never leave us alone,
A-yin the darkness there must come out to light.

Could you be loved and be loved?
Could you be loved, wo now! - and be loved?

(The road of life is rocky and you may stumble too,
So while you point your fingers someone else is judging you)
Love your brotherman!
(Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?
Could you be - could you be loved?
Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?
Could you be - could you be loved?)

Don't let them change ya, oh! -
Or even rearrange ya! Oh, no!
We've got a life to live.
They say: only - only -
Only the fittest of the fittest shall survive -
Stay alive! Eh!

Could you be loved and be loved?
Could you be loved, wo now! - and be loved?

(You ain't gonna miss your water until your well runs dry;
No matter how you treat him, the man will never be satisfied.)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?
Could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! Say something!
(Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! Say something! (Say something!)
Say something! Say something! (Could you be loved?)
Say something! Say something! Reggae, reggae!
Say something! Rockers, rockers!
Say something! Reggae, reggae!
Say something! Rockers, rockers!
Say something! (Could you be loved?)
Say something! Uh!
Say something! Come on!
Say something! (Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be - could you be loved?)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be loved?)

Tame Impala - Apocalypse Dreams
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQH2Kq1QXaI

This could be the day that we push through,
It could be the day that all our dreams come true,
For me and you,
'Til we're at the end of just another day

Are you too terrified to try your best?
Just to end up with an educated guess,
Like success,
Like those times you wake up mystified

Oh it feels so real in my sleep
Never felt so good, so close I do with you
Until the day this could be feeling
Do you realize that I could feel it.

Everything is changing,
And there's nothing I can do
My world is turning pages
While I am just sitting here

Well, am I getting closer?
Will I ever get there?
Does it even matter?
Do I really need it?
Wish that I'd remember
And I'm on the outcome

(This could be the day that we push through)
Did I really want it?
Does it really matter?
It was only yesterday...
(It could be the day that all our dreams come true)
Didn't even know you...
Now I'm gonna miss you
(Oh it feels so real in my sleep, never felt so good, so close I do)

Nothing ever changes
No matter how long you do your game
It's the same to everyone else
Everything is changing
I guess I should want my love
But she'd just be excited.

Couldn't resist posting another one:

Bibio - Wake Up!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjIbqtHyDgU

Fall upon my brow this signature of love
Descending from the canopy of poison vapour
Filtered through the cold this magic of the air
Is blushing every cheek and every soul thereafter
Wake up to the light the light that's always there
Your mind is tangled from its ever-thinking glory
Run your fingers through your bristling beard or hair
And watch the endless butterflies within escaping
Fall upon my lap your signature of God
Descendant from the everlasting curdling wonder
Let the blinkers flake and wipe the dust away
Let ripples settle and the riverbed appear
Wake up to the light the light that's always there
Your mind untangled from its ever-thinking glory
Run your fingers through my bristling beard and hair
And watch the endless butterflies around returning

Thanks, loreta, for that version of harlem nocturne. my favourite version is the one by lounge lizards, but this one is quite special, too.

Very good! I don't know why but your version reminds me of the soundtrack of the movie Taxi Driver composed by Bernard Herrmann. Something about your version that makes me feel the night, the city during the night...
