What are you listening to?

Something inside so strong - Labi Siffre

The higher you build your barriers
The taller I become
The farther you take my rights away
The faster I will run
You can deny me
You can decide to turn your face away
No matter, cos there's...

Something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
Tho' you're doing me wrong, so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone
Oh no, something inside so strong
Oh oh oh oh oh something inside so strong

You hide behind walls of Jericho
Your lies will come tumbling
Deny my place in time
You squander wealth that's mine
My light will shine so brightly
It will blind you
Cos there's...

Something inside so strong
I know that I can make it
Tho' you're doing me wrong, so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone
Oh no, something inside so strong
Oh oh oh oh oh something inside so strong

Brothers and sisters
When they insist we're just not good enough
When we know better
Just look 'em in the eyes and say
I'm gonna do it anyway x 4

Something inside so strong
And I know that I can make it
Tho' you're doing me wrong, so wrong
You thought that my pride was gone
Oh no, something inside so strong
Oh oh oh oh oh something inside so strong

Speak life by Damian Marley.

I pray thee, I pray thee
Once again
I wonder if you're surrounded by ones of such talent, ya know

Speak life
Live a humble and meek life
Ordinary day of the week life
Try to search and seek life

Way up
Keep your head up and stay up
Even when you sore and pain love
Never giving up till its game up
Keep your aim up

And focus
Don't concentrate on what's bogus
Never sell out for a bonus
Handle your biz like grown ups
Own up

It's amazing
The way Jah fire keeps blazing
That's why I constantly praise him
For some of them it's a phase thing
So they're gazing

On the street lights
Till dem go catch up in street fights
Cause are pretending they're street wise
And put an end to a brief life
I feel like

It's a mystery
How we can keep repeating our history
Making the same mistakes as our ancestry
Seems like all of life lessons missed we
It's risky

So give praises
One day you may find your oasis
Rise up to the challenge you're faced with
Be hopeful and creative
You'll make it

It's basics
People been doin' it for ages
In many other cultures and places
On a regular basis
There's so many cases

Let's face it
Way too much time has been wasted
Building military bases
Fighting our war with no bases

Life is sacred
An' every bare people naked
Some of 'em nah gwaan like dem risk big
And don't care what they making
They can't take it

So speak life, man
All this darkness don't feel right man

Aboslutely flawless goyacobol thanks for sharing :)

I dunno why but today my brain decided to wake up with this song:

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind

It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side

It's s time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

I was in a grocery store recently, not quite doing the check list get-it-get-out routine, just kind of meandering when I noticed that the muzak was playing this song.

One which was a very early imprint in my youth. I stopped, having processed that it was this song, and just stopped *everything*.

And smiled. There were others in the aisle, and I'm not sure, but they stopped too, and smiled. Maybe because I looked like a smiling idiot, dunno.

Interesting version of 'The Last of the Mohicans' by Luca Stricagnoli (seven string).

The guys got talent. Mr. Stricagnoli shares his Universal Gift. Pretty impressive.

[size=10pt]My text tells us two things: it unconditionally and broadly asserts that every Christian possesses this great gift -- the manifestation is given to every man; and then it asserts that the gift of each is meant to be utilised for the good of all. 'The manifestation is given to every man to profit withal.'

Nor is this gift a thing that a man can discover as distinct from his own consciousness. The point where the river of the water of life comes into the channel of our spirits lies away far up, near the sources, and long before the stream comes into sight in our own consciousness, the blended waters have been inseparably mingled, and flow on peacefully together. 'The Spirit beareth witness with our spirits'; and you are not to expect that you can hear two voices speaking, but it is one voice and one only.
