"High and dry in the long hot day
Lost and lonely every way
Got the flats all around me sky up above
Yes I need a little water of love
I've been too and long lonely and my heart feels pain
Crying out for some soothing rain
I believe I have taken enough
Yes I need a little water of love
Water of love deep in the ground
But there ain't no water here to be found
Some day baby when the river runs free
It's gonna carry that water of love to me
There's a bird up in a tree sitting up high
Just waiting for me to die
If I don't get some water soon
I'll be dead and gone in the afternoon
Water of love deep in the ground
But there ain't no water here to be found
Some day baby when the river runs free
It's gonna carry that water of love to me
Once I had a woman I could call my own
Once I had a woman now my woman she gone
Once there was a river now there's a stone
You know it's evil then you're living alone
Water of love deep in the ground
But there ain't no water here to be found
Some day baby when the river runs free
It's gonna carry that water of love to me, carry that
Water of love deep in the ground
But there ain't no water here to be found
Some day baby when the river runs free
It's gonna carry that water of love to me"

Sting and Dominic Miller - Shape Of My Heart - HQ

Written by Sting & Dominic Miller

He deals the cards as a meditation
And those he plays never suspect
He doesn't play for the money he wins
He don't play for respect

He deals the cards to find the answer
The sacred geometry of chance
The hidden law of a probable outcome
The numbers lead a dance

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart

He may play the jack of diamonds
He may lay the queen of spades
He may conceal a king in his hand
While the memory of it fades

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
(*)That's not the shape, the shape of my heart

And if I told you that I loved you
You'd maybe think there's something wrong
I'm not a man of too many faces
The mask I wear is one

Well, those who speak know nothin'
And find out to their cost
Like those who curse their luck in too many places
And those who fear are lost

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
(*)That's not the shape of my heart
That's not the shape, the shape of my heart

My son got me an Audible subscription for my birthday (in May). I only just recently activated it. It has made it much easier for me to 'read' books while in the car. I have 4 jobs at the moment, so very little time for pleasure or even professional reading. I'm listening to the Outlander novel at the moment, which is excellent. Several good friends recommended it to me in quick succession several years ago. Soon after that, the television series was released. I watched several seasons for a visual feast. I'm really interested in costuming, textiles, and all things vintage. The story is enjoyable in both formats. History, romance, chivalry, magic, stone circles, time travel, and sci-fi. Really well done. Highly recommended. Fiction, but I suspect that they nailed Bonny Prince Charlie.
