This is quite dramatic, which is apt because it is part of the soundtrack of a musical drama called Mezame no Hakobune (Ark of Awakening). Those of you familiar with Ghost in the Shell (Japanese anime series that has been rebooted to death) and the dramatic soundscape created by Kenji Kawai.
Bought this album when it came out in 1997. I always thought Karl Wallinger had an inkling that something was up or about to come. A couple of videos and link to full album:

I am really enjoying listening to Fip : écouter la radio Jazz, Reggae, Rock, Electro, Soul - Actualités et radios in the background today. It plays a very eclectic mix of jazzy, funk, soul and a few classics and has very little talking or interuptions. Even if they do, because it is french It doesn't quite have the same British media news broadcast nonsense. :)
