What are you listening to?

It's all dragons and snakes, and it's so grotesque I can't watch it all the way through. Do you like martial arts? I prefer the Marshall Tucker Band.

That's it my Friend, I like JAPANESE martial arts movies.
It all started without me even noticing it when I saw this movie just because it was on TV and my friends were watching.

While at the University I saw a few more Kurosawa films as well as Bruce Lee movies. From this I moved on to practicing Karate, Taekwando and Aikido. Then I discovered Takeshi Kitano and all his films. I thought he did a brilliant job of playing Zatoichi

That movie allowed me to discover the real Zatoichi in my opinion,

Marshall Tucker Band was popular among some of my friends when I was at the University. Some of their tunes were good especially when we were drinking beer at their parties. 🍺;-)

(He served as Pacific Asia chairman of the Trilateral Commission.)
When I used to live in Meguro-ku, there was an arch rogue (served as Pacific Asia chairman of the Trilateral Commission.), Yotaro Kobayashi, living nearby. When he got in the car, he identified me who was introducing SOTT on blogs, so he stuck his head out of the car and had the driver honk his horn. The house across the street from the cheap apartment I was in was the residence of the deceased Kyu Sakamoto. I used to watch the bereaved families go out.

Kyu Sakamoto, who released this Japan's first number 1 hit in the US, died in the crash of Japan Air Lines Flight 123, some say that this aircraft may have been shot down by U.S. forces.
Ah yes, the Trilateral Commission. I've read much about them. There was a point in time when I noticed that Rockefeller was making a many trips to Japan. Initially I did not think much about it, but much much later when I had the time to get an above average immersion in world history it all started to make more sense. Here's one of these milestones in my understanding how the Spiders Web is spun.

Why do you think they would have wanted to eliminate Sakamoto ? Some say the same thing about Lennon being eliminated, as he was singing the "wrong tunes" to the Masses.

It was a play on words about martial and Marshall.🍻
Do I need ten more years of experience to make a play on words? :-P

Amazon's description of the film says:

This eye-opening book offers a disturbing new look at Japan's post-war economy and the key factors that shaped it. It gives special emphasis to the 1980s and 1990s when Japan's economy experienced vast swings in activity. According to the author, the most recent upheaval in the Japanese economy is the result of the policies of a central bank less concerned with stimulating the economy than with its own turf battles and its ideological agenda to change Japan's economic structure. The book combines new historical research with an in-depth behind-the-scenes account of the bureaucratic competition between Japan's most important institutions: the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Japan. Drawing on new economic data and first-hand eyewitness accounts, it reveals little known monetary policy tools at the core of Japan's business cycle, identifies the key figures behind Japan's economy, and discusses their agenda. The book also highlights the implications for the rest of the world, and raises important questions about the concentration of power within central banks.

Sorry, my friend, it looks like an interesting movie and I'll read the Japanese translation of the original at some point. Actually, I've committed myself to a huge amount of work here on this forum.
The New History of Mankind: Who Are we? What are we? How did we get here?

I've never heard of the theory of Kyu Sakamoto's murder in Japan. In fact, a famous comedian named Sanma Akashiya cancelled his flight at the last minute. Kuniko Mukoda, a famous writer, also died. Instead, why don't you look into why the U.S. military hit the plane with a missile or something and why the Japanese Self-Defense Forces had to shoot it down?

Since the 1980s, the same melody repeating endlessly has become the mainstream type of music. Actually, I'm not very good at it. I prefer the 70's.

TOTO leads in the evil direction of 99=9+9=18=6+6+6=666, but I like this song.

When he was in the Beatles I like McCartney a lot. His voice fit perfectly to the music and the lyrics. So when I heard that he started Wings, I was very curious in a positive way.

Now I realize that like so many things, personal taste is personal taste. So please don't take this personally Takashi, but in the case of McCartney I am willing to share my negative opinion.

When I heard Band On The Run album I was in a bit of a shock. There was one tune that seemed OK to me, but the rest seemed to have been put together by a high class high school band. I had no clue "Junior's Farm" hit #3 in the US, until I read your comment.

My first thought in reading that was that it was an error and might have been # 13. Nope, officially it was # 3.
My 2 cent opinion on this rating, "Maybe on the Moon it was #3".

When I was in the States I never heard this tune and I listened to a lot of radio. Never ever did I hear it until you mentioned it. If I had I would have changed the station on the radio immediately.

This is the tune that came to my mind thinking about McCartney and this tune.

Now from the comment I suspect you must sense that I have some bone with McCartney.

Yes I do, but I truly have no conscious clue as to why. It must be his body movements, voice or manner of speaking, because the guy outside of the band (in his news interviews) for some reason just rubbed me wrong. Lennon, Ringo or George had not such energy, but he just struck me (and continues to this day) as being this wise a$$ little prick with an overinflated head.
OK, lets leave it at that .... ha ha ha. 🍺

Thanks for taking me back to those fun days Takashi.

Keep On Trucking Takashi
