I was thinkin of my Grandma.. We all called her "Mamaw", & when she taught me this song on the Banjo, back when I was a wee lad, I have never forgotten.... Most of my family comes from the mountains of Virginia/N.Carolina/East Tennessee Georgia....thereabouts & along the Appalachians. Places like Rockfish Gap, Smoke hole, West Augusta & the like...
Hope you can enjoy the song & the same feelings of old time folk music.
