What does YouTube recommend to you?

I may look into that. I'm not completely against recommendation, I have had some good ones, but mostly it's either things that seems totaly unrelated to what I watch or things that are on channels I am subscribe to.

Well my experience was that first I go to youtube searching specific things then getting sucked into recommended/suggested videos and to finaly always ending up getting carried away into totally unrelated stuffs.
At some point, I though I would learn much more deeply into things if I invested those times on reading books instead of wasting times on "youtubers" videos.
Anyway I notice the more interesting videos on youtube are mostly low views counts and those don't show up first, are not recommended by the algorithm, and hard to find even if the exact same keywords, totally unrelated stuff with high views are favored more.
