What's the weather where you are?

Here in philly US , it became a norm to have 2 to 3 storms a week and people are fed up and hoping power won't go out. snow is piling up every where up to 3 to 4 ft. there is one more snow storm on tuesday morning and it is supposed to heat up after that. Accuweather is already showing 2 snow days next week. Wait and see.

In Las Palmas in the north of the isle the weather is strange: yesterday or the day before it snowed in the country, something that it is very rare. In the capital it rained and was windy. It rain very much, something, they tell me because I am new here, rare.

We received quite a bit of snow on the weekend in Montréal. On the other hand, in Gaspésie, they received 82 cm (32 in) over the weekend!

That's 27 cm (10.6 in) over the total average of the entire month of February!

Let it snow indeed...

Here in eastern part of Croatia we have a warm and sunny weather. Spring temperatures of 12-17C (53-62F) are lasting for 10 days and bees are busy already.

Same here in Serbia. Some cities today had 23C/73F! It feels like we moved to Florida. :)

It's been relatively warm and calm here in North-East Texas for the last week or so; lows in the upper 30s-40s and highs in upper 60s. I've been wondering at the waves of blue (snow as represented on the weather station map) that constantly pass over the northern states, though.

storm after storm after storm. oh and tomorrow we will have 8 inches of snow. NYC/NJ area. Im going to take pictures and post them here.

strangely enough , it is clear sky two days later snowstorm, then two days after clear sky, then crazy freezing winds, then 40 degrees and like that.

so much that my many layers of clothing are like an armor i have to put on every day.

Northeast, Pa. - Between yesterday and early this morning, finally cleared the snow away from my car and cleaned it off again - for the consective fifth time in about two weeks. At this point, shoveling snow is one thing, trying to find a spot to throw it is another. All the cars in the neighborhood look like they're parked in tall white cubicles in a snow cloud. Looks like my efforts were short lived, it's coming down like a blizzard again.

In Costa Rica Central america, we have a lot of winds the weather is sometimes cold and sometimes hot, it suppose to be hot since we are in summer time, the nights are cold in January there were days of much cold but in February have been mixed.

So far, in our River Valley in Southern France, we have had a very prolonged autumn, and no winter. Lots of rain, though. And grey almost every day.

In south east Queensland (and Australia in general), this summer is one of drought. There has been much less rain than usual. We are constantly on the lookout for rain for our garden.

On this side of the planet, in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, it's supposed to be the rainy season, with daily torrential rains, but the past month or so has been exceedingly dry. Instead of the almost daily downpour there's been only a whimper of rain every now and then. Result is that water supply levels are low (1), various diseases are up (mosquitos are happy), and there was even a bushfire in the city, most likely started by firecrackers as we just had Chinese new year celebrations.

Usually people here talks about weather (it's pretty much all the same all the time), but now, with no rain, it's the conversation topic du jour.

(ps. we used to live in one of the houses in that picture up until 3 months ago...)

It's hot and dry that the authorities are resorting to water rationing. Over 400,000 households in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are affected with a schedule of 41 hours with water supply and 55 hours without, for the whole month of March.

This winter was the second mildest since 1706

Friday 28 February 2014

This winter was the second warmest since early records began in 1706, the KNMI weather bureau said on Friday.

The average temperature in December, January and February was 6 Celsius, compared with a normal winter month average of 3.4 Celsius. And the average temperature nationwide has not once dipped below freezing, the KNMI said.

The warmest winter on record was that of 2007 when it was half a degree milder. This winter has also been sunny and dry, with an average of 250 hours of sunshine, compared with 196 hours in an average winter.

The meteorlogical spring begins on Saturday when it will be mainly overcast and around 9 Celsius, the KNMI said.
