What's the weather where you are?

35N, 92W Mid South USA

Overcast, 37F, 3C. Am feeling much colder today, than in past weeks. Really feel the cold today.

We are expecting another large snow/ice storm tonight and tomorrow. Ice melted yesterday from the last storm.

Boston, MA and the general Northeast of the U.S. has been making the news for the period between late Jan. to present. We've seen multiple record breaking snowfall numbers for 14, 20, and 30 day periods. Snow accumulation in Boston is past 98inches (251 cm) to date, and we've been consistently 15 to 30 degrees below avg temp for the season. The record cold day was 3 degrees F (-16 C).

Even crazier than the crazy weather is the maintenance of the party line on global warming. It doesn't seem to bother major news outlets to print these statements even after having to begrudgingly acknowledge that anthropogenic global warming is an outright scientific fantasy. The new flavors they've concocted, of Polar Vortex and Siberian Express, are amusing in a cynically humorous sort of way.

I was just reading an article on SOTT about how the record setting cold/snowy winters may be an indication of an ice age. However, in the Yellowstone Park area and the Northwest US in general we are experiencing an unusual warm and dry winter. Near Yellowstone temperatures have been about 25 deg above average for several weeks with practically no snow. There have been many days with high temperatures above freezing which just destroys the snow necessary for the economy of the area.

I spoke with a man who had been in the area for a long time and he said he had never seen warm conditions like this in 45 years. Other people from Washington and Idaho say there areas are also experiencing unusually warm temps. Some are even describing Spring-like conditions. The jet stream is not dropping south as far west as usual. It is carrying the cold and snow farther east before dipping south.

Experts predict that the sensitivity to time could become a disease of modern society :/

ALL so called and self proclaimed xpertz suck - even their sophistry has become obvious nowadays in all their compartmentalized fields of xpertize. And whole "modern society" is mortally diseased - if you didn't happen to notice jet.... I personally enjoy weather changes of any kind! Hoorah to Boorah and Yoogo

Very hot temperatures here on the mid north coast of NSW, while further north they have had rain and storms. This has been the hottest summer I can remember, with top temp consistently being around 28 degrees Celsius.

The weather in Spain is very hard, this winter. Not normal. We had a earthquake in the peninsula.

We've had a ice weather here in central NC on Monday, and last night, we had a second winter storm, causing thousands without power.

south central Wisconsin, USA

Just heard this morning that February temps so far are 11 degrees (F) below the average.
December and January temps were slightly above normal. November was way colder than average.

No January thaw this year either, and it certainly didn't show up late in February.

The forecaster even mentioned the number of HOURS above freezing (32F/0C) for February being about 70, and I recall enjoying most of those hours in a stretch of weather in the 30's a couple weeks ago. If that was our mid-Winter thaw, we got ripped off.

Snowfall has been much less than the average... enough to play in and keep things bright and white, but not so much that it wears your back out shoveling.

Right now it's friggin' COLD! -9F/-22C tonight, and it's almost March! Below 0F temps are usually experienced in late Dec, January and early Feb. Wisconsin's cold spot today was Land O Lakes, up by the upper peninsula of Michigan, with a temp of -31F/-35C.

Northeastern Wisconsin has now broken the record for the amount of days below zero this winter.
Yesterday, they tied the record of 48 days with below zero temperatures. The old record was set in the winter of 1976-77.
This winter will easily see the most negative temperatures in our history, with many more below zero temperatures expected in the next 7 days.

Green Bay sets record for sub-zero temperatures this Winter with 49 days. Meteorologists say last season in Green Bay, there were only 10 days below zero and only four, the winter before.

Hard to believe astronomical Spring is only about 3 weeks away.
Screw, I mean STEW, the groundhog!

We are experincing quite warm/hot weather over here, 27ºC/80ºF, is kind of early, though, March is usually a little crazier than February, so we will see. Contamination is up too because there had not been winds. UV in its highest position (extreme).
