Am I the only one that reads from (from suggested http://www.messagefrommasters.com/Life_of_Masters/Gurdjieff/Gurdjieff_Early_Childhood_and_Passion_for_Truth.htm) that it is his grandfather that died? Maybe it's just spelled wrong? Osho's credibility aside.
