Glad everyone's okay. :) :) :)

Been watching from the others side of the continent and sure glad, too.

I might sound skeptical here but how do we know everyone is ok? there seem to be a good 30 odd members there have we heard from all of them? My prayer's are with them and all those exposed to this storm. I don't think they are out of the proverbial "water" as yet the clean up efforts can be just as dangerous.

Dosen't look "fake" to me (although it could have been exagerated I concur). If you go on the NOAA website, you gan get sattelite images. So far the pics looks quite similar to this one. Just don't know if both systems are heading towards eachother. A bit of research should confirm the current trend and possible evolution.

That’s why I went to see another webpage like that from accuweather … I do not know how to interpret it, but if you click on “play” the move one against other, the west more quickly than the east one. It looked far worst when I posted it, now, Sandy had degraded more. Hopefully they wont touch each other.

It talks about another front from the west, checking it out in this other image from Accuweather _http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/national/satellite, it should be taken in consideration. Quite an impressive size of the spiral remants from Sandy.

At the beginning of this program of Walter Martinez you can see images of Sandy. The program is in Spanish but the images are very good. Around 40 deaths, 80 houses burned in NY, many, many people without electricity...

We only lost power for about 12 hours, no trees were felled anywhere near to my locator, though there are a bunch of leaves everywhere. We are apparently out of the danger zone, but I think that the real storm is yet to come. And maybe the PTB know this as well and are fine tuning their machinery so that when heaven is shooting at us, people will remember good and benevolent big brother and will do whatever he tells them. Like evacuating to an already predetermined locale.

We lost power from Monday evening on wards. No power yet . Most of us lost power. Around dozen tree fell in our complex, nothing dangerous. Skeleton cell phone coverage, mobile internet connection. Not many people on the streets. Feels like test run for what to come.
Gas, water supply, hot water supply exist. Today I will have to drive to office and every body will be on road.

As far as I know I think we heard everybody's OK. Hope so!

Thank you ALL for of you the concerns, this is my big family with real care! :hug2:

I'll try to check out more members if everybody is ok. :flowers:

My boss in Manhattan has no electricity, and my other boss in Coney Island who has a mom with Alzheimer they're out of power.

No electricity, no water but they're doing fine.

Con Ad announced it takes four days to restore power.

The White House said the President on Sunday signed the state of emergency declaration in the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Rhode Island and New Jersey, which calls for federal aid to supplement the cities' response efforts to meet the emergency conditions.

Obama on Sunday visited the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to get briefed on preparations for days of severe weather in communities stretching from North Carolina to Maine.

Obama's action authorizes the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA to coordinate disaster relief efforts, fund, and to provide assistance for required emergency measures. The order clears the way for FEMA to mobilize and provide equipment and resources to help.

About 1,500 National Guard forces were on state active duty supporting the governors of New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut and Maryland, the Pentagon said.

Watching the coverage- especially yesterday- and listening to the specific things they were focused on made me think of something. I am new here, so if this is way off, just say so. It seems to me they are focusing on reporting the instances where people chose to stay, but needed to be "rescued". The tone across the networks seemed that of disgust or resentment, as if to imply that we "citizens" do not make rational decisions, and put others lives at risk, costing them money. Dialogue like this seems like an attempt at seizing even more control during the next "end of days" catastrophe.

Maybe there's something to it. I was watching a news feed this morning and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was saying in an angry voice how 'disappointed' he was that mayor so and so did not follow his "order" to evacuate and that it would likely be costly, possibly in human lives. Somebody else came on the show and said that he was flat out lying because everyone except a few individuals cooperated.

I guess we'll just have to keep our eyes open for more clues.

My thoughts are with all the forum members affected by this dreadful hurricane. Hope you are all OK... This is just awful. Has anyone heard from Puck?

Well it's completely calm in the fingerlakes region of upstate NY right now. There's no wind or rain and yesterday there was a bit of wind (it's windy here quite often, so this wasn't really above normal--I've been here for much windier days) and a drizzle. I didn't even use an umbrella and I was running a number of errands around town. It's still very cloudy, but even that's not really out of the norm for up here. The weather channel is saying that we're going to get more rain this afternoon, but if their forecast today is as accurate as yesterday, I think it may just actually end up being sunny.

This was definitely some serious over-hyping on the media's part, from my perspective, and I think they're setting the stage for something in the future along with triggering the masses' authoritarian-follower nature.and creating some more stockholm syndrome by brow-beating them with this "you're on deaths door from this storm" nonsense and then being oh-so-caring to show us how "loving" big brother is (Chase bank--aka JP Morgan Chase--sent out emails about how they were waiving fees in lieu of the storm and how they were so concerned about the wellbeing of their customers. Yeah, right.)

Though it does seem, to me, that this storm is definitely a preview of what's to come for NYC and the place sounds like a death trap to me with any extreme weather. Maybe this is a wake up call to NYC people? Though I guess maybe if you have an inflatable boat and some paddles (a modern ark? :P) in an apartment that's fairly high off the ground, one could paddle their way out of the city...

I am glad to hear that everyone is OK. The forum has been so helpful for keeping things in perspective. When you are somewhere that has been unseasonably warm and dry (west coast, USA), seeing media reports intended to make us fear the worst (weather.com's banner has now toned down to merely "millions without power" -- an interesting double entendre), it is reassuring to be able to read about what is actually going on. Thanks!

Same thing here. We lost power for about 12 hours too.

Although I think it is deserving of superstorm status in terms of scale, its strength seems to have dwindled soon after making landfall.

I had anticipated more: here in Buffalo (New York) it rained for days before I heard of Sandy's approach. Monday was bad, but then it calmed on Tuesday, to my bewilderment.

Suspicious0bservers in 2MIN News October 30, 2012 :
I will briefly mention this: Yes, they ran a drill for Hurricane Sandy in 1997 that would hit New York in October. Yes, they are modifying the storm, but they're doing so to make it less intense. The pressure says this should be a Category 4 or 5 - it's nowhere close. It's impossible unless we're weakening it. Is it HAARP? No. Arecibo, NexRads, and geo-engineering aerosols do all this work it is not HAARP I have explained the difference many times they couldn't be more different.

Now Suspicious0bservers suspects Arecibo et. al., and I'm not familiar with them, but what I'd suspect is the space-based EMP weaponry that were used in 9-11. It reminded me of Dr. Judy Wood connecting Hurricane Erin to 9-11 (whether she made the right causal connection is not the point).

And 1997! What are the implications of that! Time-traveling STS dudes? Significance of naming a future hurricane "Sandy"?

(I had a wild thought that perhaps the reason why hurricanes take the "classic" path up from the Bermuda Triangle then out eastward into the Atlantic ocean was because they were being deflected from NYC each time by EM weaponry... just a wild thought.)

In Québec, everything went fine so far.

The meteo was kind of funny yesterday going from rain to sun to both at the same time while weird cloud bands passed through. Wind was quite strong but not enough to cause actual damage.

So yep, so far so good. But I don't think mother nature went back to sleep. Perhaps a message for us all. The whole event was weird and crazy. The medias also behaved in a peculiar way for sure. Perhaps they [PTB] know what's coming and are trying to "condition" us for it like said.

Glad everyone is ok so far!

Peace.

I am glad that those who have 'reported in' are all doing okay! I hope that those who haven't are likewise safe and dry.

I keep having these horrible feelings about those FEMA domes being built in Texas - and the articles on SOTT that compare the new 'DHS army' to Hitlers Youth - The first thing my mind conjured was that those domes could easily change from being 'safe havens' for people during a storm or tsunami, to being gas chambers or something equally horrifying. Even if they are simply depots for FEMA equipment (which I feel is an unlikely explanation), the things they could hide in there... and why they would need to... keep me wondering.

I shudder to think about the suffering people would be subjected to - for them to follow those instructions to get to 'safety' into those domes, for the tables to suddenly turn. I suppose they would also make 'convenient' quarantine zones.

I hope I am not concentrating too much on the negative possibilities - any possibility, is a possibility - it makes me sad that those that come to mind first are so horrific, yet more likely than some positive possibilities.
