hi, I thought maybe this might interest you, it's basically a documentary explaining the symbols in the wizard of oz, and relating it to our current economic/social system:

Hope this helps...

Thanks EPG for this historical documentary, the OZ symbolism of our ponorized money road, the gatekeepers of the yellow brick road by the human, silver and property liquidators.

I was wondering if anything was said about what these
characters represent?

Scarecrow: Mental Center (Mind)
TinMan: Emotional Center (Heart)
Lion: Motion Center (Fear, Courage, Action?)

What do you think? Anyone care to comment?

I agree with your interpretation. The tale is telling us about human psicology. It's relationed with Gurdjieff ideas. I have open a subjet at What's on your mind. I hope you participate and give some more ideas.
Dorothy represents the soul that is trying to find the way of going back home. This three aspects, mental, emotional and motion are not integrated as Gurdjieff said.

that also struck me hard when I watched that movie for the first time some weeks back. those four characters (maybe five with the dog? or more ?) really seem to be parts of Dorothy. it really reminds me of the work on the self.
I mean that movie/story is loaded with symbolism that seems to fit what the C's and Gurdieff have said !

Re: The wizard of Oz symbolism

Thanks to everybody.

Vulcano59,
It's done, more or less.

Megan,
I didn' know that way of searching by google, very interesting that "logical" way. I have found many entries to read. But this one is the most interesting by the moment because I agree with the interpretation of the three characters, scarecrew, tinman and lion. I think is the correct way of going on with the interpretation of the tale, in a psicological way.

EPG,
Thanks for de link.
I have seen the documentary. Its very interesting the explanation about economy. I knew that ideas and I agree with them. The interpretation of the tale I think is not very acurate, only some ideas. In my opinion the tale is about human psicology and relationed with Gurdjieff ideas. We have to incorporate what Casiopeans said about Universe to understand the whole meaning of the tale.

I will go on with some more ideas when I have some time, difficult in english !!
