Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT): General information and discussion of Home Units

If they sent it with DHL express they should have provided all the paper work and information for the costums. In fact my sales rep told me if i get any queries from customs to not answer them before consulting with her. It seems they are pretty well versed in how to tackle EU customs requirements and in fact although my country’s customs are pretty strict and nit picking this shipment flew through effortlessly and i got it all the way from Shanghai in 4 days. I was very impressed. The rep was answering emails or texts within minutes even on weekends.
I have a contact phone number for Macy-pan, maybe not the person you were dealing with, but perhaps worth a try
(from Macy-pan) For urgent cases, please contact me via Tel: +86 18017021620.
perhaps you have a phone number on emails they have sent to you?
Hello guys!

Thank you very much for your advices:halo:. Unfortunately we ve made our purchase right before Chinese NY Eve so they left us without any attention. Fortunately they solved everything with customs. But we've waited for 2 weeks...

As for HBOT I will report soon here how we did the set up and honestly I have a bunch of materials in Notion I made for deep research and understanding.

Thank you forum people for all support you showing here. I wish you a good health and longevity!

No go. Apparently the 1.5 model is reinforced in some areas, like windows, so no swapping out valves. Maybe I will upgrade at some point, but I will make do with my 1.3 for now. I'm pretty happy with it so far 😊.

Sorry for your bad luck!

And yes, cloth, zippers and windows all have their blasting limits. I am currently in exchange with two chamber producers on this matter. One of them claims that they reached a blasting limit of 2.77 ata for their soft chambers. The other one has been producing buoyancy bags for seabed salvage for more than 20 years. The production process is the same as for their hyperbaric chambers. They already have one chamber model with 2.0 ata capacity. It is a horizontal cylinder like the popular Macy Pan and Zoy Tech models. I will introduce it here, once I get a quotation.

My personal preference would be a model that is suitable for claustrophobic people and easy to access because the people I want to share it with have certain handicaps. I do have hope to achieve this goal but I am expecting lengthy negotiations.

Update: I have reached 50 sessions and only continue to be quite tired (there is a day or two a week in which I do not do sessions), no improvement or particular symptoms so I imagine that the work is done at a deeper level before being more perceptive in a tangible way

Website recommendation

I came across the website of a HBOT practitioner that I believe is very recommendable. It offers a comprehensive introduction to the mechanisms of HBOT, list of treatable conditions, links to some studies and a quite interesting FAQ.

Among many other subjects it is addressing HBOT treatment of COPD and the question whether 1.3 ata is antibacterial or not.

The website is US based and slightly favouring mild HBOT i.e. 1.3 ata chambers for general use in line with FDA regulations.

Overall it is a wealth of information. However, one has to click on all menu buttons for best results, even the ones that don't look promising.

Hi @alicebibi, welcome to the forum, I can see that you havn't introduced yourselve to the forum.
So would you please do so in the Newbies & Important Notices to All Members? Just tell us something about you, how you get here for example. There we can welcome you to the forum. :flowers:

We bought a hyperbaric chamber with an oxygen concentrator. It should be delivered next week. We'll report on the result! Here is a link towards the description of the product:

Edit: I have interacted with Riley numerous times. She's always been reactive, competent and kind, really! You contact her on my behalf.

You can directly contact her through E-mails: sales@macy-pan.com or by phone: +86-18017021667 (Riley speaks good English). Of course you can visit the website MACYPAN, be sure to use one of these three means of communication otherwise you might end up with another sales representatives.
I'm thinking of buying this model. Did anybody have any problems with the standard Macy-Pan 10 l/min oxygen concentrator regarding reduced flow rate at 1.5 ATA? Is it worth buying some other oxygen concentrator with more stable flow rate at high pressure?

It is noticeably reduced. I find that when using the re-breather mask, it cannot refill fast enough for my breathing sometimes. (It will when the pressure is back to 1 ATA) So I went back to the regular face mask. I may not have this issue with a beefier oxygen concentrator.

I found the same. Using regular face mask now with some modifications.
Any sleuthing regarding better concentrators - what kind of price we are talking about?

In the manual for Zamozdrav, there was:
"This training device combines the recommendations of prominent specialists (Strelnikova’s breathing exercises, Buteyko’s breathing technique) and the latest advancements of modern science."
I stopped reading and looked up the breathing exercises, and here are some points in case anyone else would like to know:

Strelnikova's breathing exercises were developed for singers, but has shown to be helpful for other conditions. This page has images of 12 exercises, which coordinate breath action, (a short inward sniff) with physical movement of a part of the body.
Buteyko breathing exercises were created to improve health. The immediate effect of the exercises are said to be more open airways and improved blood circulation. The webpage of Buteyko Clinic International lists these exercises:
Exercise 1: Nose unblocking exercise
Exercise 2a: Normalising breathing volume-hands on chest and tummy
Exercise 2b: Normalising breathing volume-finger blocking nostril
Exercise 2c: Normalising breathing volume-hands cupping face
Exercise 3: walking with diaphragm breathing
Exercise 4a: walking with breath holds to create light air hunger
Exercise 4a: walking with breath holds to create medium to strong air hunger
Exercise 5: Steps (light air hunger) for severe asthma, anxiety, panic attacks
Exercise 5: Steps (medium to strong air hunger) for children and teenagers
Exercise 6: Many small breath holds (mini pauses)
Exercise 7: Relaxation to create air hunger
Here are a couple of other English sites: BUTEYKO BREATHING? and There is no health without healthy breathing
On Sciencebasedmedicine one can find an article, that puts the Buteyko techniques down:
Buteyko’s story is proudly presented in great length (but frequently lacking in critical detail) on the Buteyko Center website. I encourage you to read it in its entirety for full effect, for it is fascinating and bears a striking similarity to that of the other founding figures of alt med belief systems (D.D. Palmer [Founder of chiropractic], Hulda Clarke [Canadian naturopath], Mikao Usui [Reiki], Samuel Hahnemann [Homeopathy]).
But wait a minute, some of these approaches worked well enough to help many people. On that background, the text reads like a recommendation.

Okay, time for my update. Ark and I have done 185 sessions and it has only been in the last few days that I seem to have turned a major corner. I don't know if it is the number of sessions or the fact that I have done two additional things for the past two weeks.

1) Samozdrav gadget. I'm up to 16 minutes.

2) Extended intermittant fasting. That means, I fast completely on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Eat sparingly on Tuesday and Thursday, and whatever I want within my dietary limitations on Saturday and Sunday. I started doing this to try to heal my stomach which the doctor says has an "atrophied stomach lining". It was getting to the point where I could eat almost nothing without having gastritis symptoms. Even plain rice and a little meat! So now, I can actually eat on the days I eat without getting sick.

Anyway, suddenly I have energy and get-up-and-go. What's more, I have the stamina to actually do stuff for extended time.

I mean, it was just like some sort of switch turned on. Don't know if it was the combo of the samozdrav and HBOT, or Fasting and HBOT, or fasting and Samozdrav, or all three together, or just HBOT... but, there you have it. So, at this point, I'm not going to change anything.

Another update about HBOT. I've started using the cannula instead of any facemask and not only is it more comfortable, I feel like I get better oxygen flow. I hold it in my teeth and really suck the oxygen out of it when I take a breath. Or, I place it just beneath my nostrils and breathe in strongly through the nose and out through the mouth. This has the effect of accelerating the flow. It gives it a little help when it struggles against the pressure in the chamber.

Also, my back issue seems to be greatly - even dramatically - improved since Chu has been working with me using some kind of strange system that she has been learning from France (forum member). France teaches via skype so if anybody wants to know more about it, contact France or Chu and a thread about it can be started.

It really was miraculous. After two sessions of about 10 minutes each, my back pain of about 50 years appears to have disappeared!

I also think that HBOT has helped my back a lot too and put me in the place where trying a kind of exercise would actually work.

Hi all.

I was wondering if there's any evidence that HBOT could help with myocarditis.

Sadly, journalist George Webb recently found out he had myocarditis seemingly related to his having the J&J jab. (Why he took the jab is still hard to understand. He has given a number of reasons, including wanting to see his children. I think he may even have thought the J&J jab in particular would do more good than harm.)

Anyway, Webb had been reporting on the problem of myocarditis related to the jab, and talking with doctors recommending third generation EKG testing especially for pilots who were required to get the Covid vax. That's when he decided to have an EKG himself. He learned that doctors tend to use old EKG's, which give far less information, and that the "third generation" EKG is far superior in detecting problems before there are symptoms, as was the case with himself.

Anyway, given he's brought up his heart issues on Twitter I thought I'd send him a link to information on HBOT, especially if anyone knows of any information specifically having to do with HBOT benefiting those with myocarditis.

I did find this, although none of the studies mentioned specifically deal with myocarditis:

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Improves Myocardial Function, Finds New Study

I keep hearing that people with myocarditis could be dead within five years, so I'm wondering if HBOT could maybe extend one's expected lifespan.

This is a very difficult question. I repeatedly looked into myocarditis and could not find anything really useful. In general HBOT should be helpful as it reduces inflammation.

But then there is this:

There is still much debate as to whether or not HBOT appears to be helpful in acute coronary syndrome. Physiologically, it would make sense that hyperbaric oxygen preserves myocardial function and reduces mortality for acute myocardial infarctions. However, studies so far have demonstrated either no effect or only small contributions to the overall outcome. It is unclear as to why the data is inconclusive at this time, but more research on this topic continues.
