What's the weather where you are?

In the Netherlands, Wednesday May 17, 2017 reached the hottest temps ever measured on that date -- with a whopping 30° Celsius or even more in several places:

Very hot in Split, Dalmazzia too. Summer in May. Bache Beach is getting more and more crowded every day. Weather forecasts are predicting extremely hot summer on Balkan peninsula. My intentions for some time (over 40 years - to be more precise) always were to escape Jun, July and August somewhere in the Alps or beyond...

A couple of observations from the mountains in BC. First, after flying across them (East to West) the other day, it was interesting to note just how low the snow is for this time of year. So many mountainous roads that would be bare are full of snow, and the lower elevation forest openings are the same - very slow thaw. This may become problematical once the spring freshet starts in earnest, especially if accompanied by more rain interspersed with heat. Impacts on bridge infrastructures and flooding to low lying areas (and there has been flooding in some BC parts already) could be sever.

Night temps are near zero c most evenings and snow is still happening in the mountains at elevations above 1200 m. Traditionally since I can remember, a mountain used as a marker to the East of home (indicating more seasonal conditions) for this time of year, whereby it would show the slightest snow in crevasse, is well behind in snow melt.

We are around 30°C and had been having murky skies and high ozone levels and extreme solar UV radiation _http://www.aire.df.gob.mx/default.php?opc=aqBjnmM=&id=22 ... I had felt this around a month, but authorities seem to just noticed a week ago? using/promting the to order the contingency plan to keep out thousands of cars and advise to not do outdoor activity, to which I think it does not do much...

They keep predicting a long drought in France, but we get a few days of sun and heat and then storms. That's generally an August/September weather pattern.

Also, twice now in the past few weeks, I have awakened to see a blanket of heavy fog outside as there is this morning. That is definitely an AUTUMN weather pattern. It's kind of unsettling to see fog like that in the Spring going into Summer.

Same here in Macedonia. The weather feels and looks just like Autumn. Cold morning and evenings.Today at 8:30 am it was only 12 C, with heavy gray autumn clouds and lots of rain. There are days when its much colder.
I also noticed that last 2-3 years that all vegetation grown more and when you are outside in nature everything is much greener that before. Maybe that is because of the increased raining or because the temperature is little lower and humidity is increased so vegetation can grow better under those conditions.
On some days we are still turning on heating and we are all in Autumn clothes.
I remember when I was a kid that at the end of May we were outside in t-shirts and weather was much warmer.

In France on the Cote d'Azur, we have a beautiful weather with beautiful temperatures, at home, windows open 23/24 °, I have not yet put Air conditioning ... My kittens bask in the sun, the Sky is all blue and the sun is shining ...

In Izmir, it is a tradition: winter turns to summer quickly. but this year, it seems it will take time. now we are happy, because we live spring. the weather is not too hot or cold, it is good. :)

I remember seeing a video posted either here in the forum or on the SOTT main page a couple of months back from a YouTube weather and electric universe blogger which had a particular explanation/observation...

Circling the top of the globe was a big area of arctic air which draped down like the hem of one of those Pac Man ghosts, with wavy skirt edges. This, he said, was rotating around the earth so that regions would experience extreme swings between hot and cold air as the rills of the skirt passed over. -Like a circular sine wave. He said the peeks and valleys of this wave pattern were much more extreme than usual due to a number of reasons he explained in some depth. I thought it was interesting and started watching for it.

Well, several weeks since, I have definitely noticed the pattern he described. It's hard to miss!

In my region of Atlantic Canada, we'll get two or three days of very warm weather, extremely hot in the middle, followed by about a week of chilly, wet weather. It's been like clockwork. I've lost exact count of the number of iterations, but we've gone through at least five cycles since I saw that video. -Right now, we just came out again from a three day stretch of really warm shorts and tee-shirt weather and once again I find myself wearing in insulated jacket when I go outside.

A few events of snow and hail.
A few days ago, on the 31/5 a hailstorm hit in Thun, in the middle of Switzerland. It caused several million Euros of damage. Here is a video of the event:

Looking for the video, I found that the day before, the 30/5, there had been hailstorms in Germany, in Berlin, Kassel and Thüringen and perhaps more. places. This video is from Thüringen

For reference, the winterstorm in Moscow happened on the 29th of May.

Where we are in Zürich, Switzerland, a very violent thunderstorm happened two days ago in the evening of the 2nd of June, where sheets of rain fell non-stop for a good hour, and we got what I estimate to be 40-50mm of water. Throughout there was intense thunder and lightning. Yesterday, the 3rd of June, after a Reiki sharing 3/4 of an hours drive away, another thunderstorm happened with intense rain, lightning and thunder. It lasted perhaps just 20-30 minutes. What is interesting is that these thunderstorms which are more akin to late August after having built up over a few days, are now happening at the very beginning of June and coming on successive days. The atmosphere must be so charged that it doesn't take very long at all to build up.

Singapore, and its alternating between really hot and humid days (30-33C) and intense thunderstorms in between (that sometimes causes flooding in low lying areas).

Its basically been storming and raining for the last 10 months, and the rain does not follow the monsoonal patterns anymore. The hot and humid days between the rain feels really strange when you are walking in it - it seems to slowly "drain" your energy. Can really feel that "something's up" with the highly charged atmosphere.

This would mirror what this location reflects as well. Rain is king now, with chilly temps over the last number of days. A yo-yo effect, of (climbing and dipping) with mild and hot temps. The ceiling continues to drop (@ 43°00'40.6"N 0°08'27.6"E), or as if living in the clouds.

Gonna be interesting to experience what's coming as we move into the supposed summer cycle. Weeeeeee. :)

Bet we will see similar event's soon. With being at the back door of the Spanish mountain range dessert, I could imagine this will be the beginning year's of mother natures fireworks, and one of the Universe's calling card for the masses.

We have had six days of rain almost non stop here in Southeast Florida. This morning more heavy rain and huge ground lightning strikes. They are forecasting another five or more days of rain with thunderstorms. My street has been flooded twice in the last week, storm drains are at capacity and the ground is soaked. Have not seen the sun in six days, very strange weather pattern for us here!
