I too switched to Brave. It is better and user experience is similar to Mozilla. Thank youSwitch to Brave. It's much better than Firefox anyhow.
Here is information re: the Deep State/COG threat of a coup. The blurb you're seeing here is not the post. You'll see my post if you follow the link:The disapproval I expressed was not aimed at evidence backed discussion, but wishful thinking exhibited many on this thread. I didn’t see any of the reports you’re referring to. Could you provide some links, please? This thread is getting a bit unwieldy.
Agreed. Considering you are dealing with a psychopathic elite who so easily turn on and stab each other in the back, Trump apologizing would do him no good and in the eyes of vultures like that, who would see it as a sign of weakness. Pathological types like that prey on anyone they perceive as weak, otherwise they wouldn't be predatory! They are cowards after all, and I don't know what will happen to him after this is all said and done, but holding his head up high after the fact will earn him the respect of some and possibly the fear of others who may think to go after him. That's no guarantee that there won't be repercussions, but from a strategic standpoint, it's the better option. An apology and resignation would have been more fuel for the fire. He would be admitting that he was wrong and opening himself up for punishment. One does not apologize to psychopaths and live to tell the tale. I think you underestimate the forces that are arrayed against him.
The American political system as a whole has been corrupt and in shambles for a while now, and control of the masses was always part of the plan, with or without Trump. This isn't a new phenomena and not something unique to the last 4 years. On top of that all, the future is bleak for any political popular-platform, the freedom of expression will be severely restrained, and the Republican party is in shambles. Everyone who ever touched or appeared, supported Trump will be pointed fingers at and stigmatized.
You admit the election was stolen? And that what is tantamount to a federal offense, i.e. something illegal and a complete disregard for American democracy in any way, shape of form - you have accepted as a fact. But then you take exception to Trump bringing political pressure down on the capital and state there's no constitutional path for election results overturn because there are rules, yet the very act of disregarding the voice and votes of the American people is a total disregard for the rules to begin with. After the recounts/challenges/appeals rejection, etc - it was clear that the election results could not be overturned, and there was no legal constitutional path. Was the election stolen? You've been cheated. Swallow it. You didn't think it through. You lost. Accept defeat, regroup and come back stronger with a vengeance. Calculate your moves, have a strategy, but stop p*ssing against the wind thinking that some miracle will happen. Using crowds for political pressure is a no-no and so third-world-country. Again, there was no constitutional path for election results overturn. It's called playing by the rules. You can take shortcuts to achieve results, but those are the results that are counted and there are rules.
American democracy doesn't exist anymore. Yet you perceive people descending on the capitol as being an affront when they are exercising their right to assemble, but the real affront and moment you lost any semblance of a democracy in the US was when the election was overwhelmingly stolen out of the hands and decision-making of the voters to choose their elected representatives and instead are seeing the installation of a puppet regime in Harris/Biden hoisted on them. So yeah, god help you...Even if there was no violence this week, bringing crowds of supporters to DC was still an affront to democracy and perceived as an intimidation. With violence on top of that and the storming of Congress, and human lives lost, God help us...
I hope you aren't talking about the Joe Biden era. Because censorship, loss of freedom and systematic control of what narratives are allowed into the collective psyche are happening at alarming rates and is already being fast tracked.but I am afraid this will have even longer-time reaching implications and although I am confident that in the new decade and era to come we'll be more tolerant and less inclined to stigmatize, judge and antagonize and prone to acceptance of any foe's action - it takes and is needed a change of consciousness and heart from him too to be rehabilitated, just thinking in terms of black and white doesn't cut it anymore...
Here is the "wind up" for that post I just linked to:Revolucionar said:

Washington "One-China" Policy Dead As Pompeo Lifts Restrictions On US-Taiwan Relations
BY TYLER DURDEN
SATURDAY, JAN 09, 2021 - 17:00
The embattled Trump administration has just nuked the decades long US recognition of the "One China" policy status quo in what surely constitutes the biggest shot across Beijing's bow after months of anti-China escalation.
Despite the globe's attention focused on the Capitol protest chaos and Democrats readying a charge to impeach under Pelosi, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Saturday announced this absolute bombshell, namely that he's now lifting "self-imposed restrictions" on the relationship between the United States and Taiwan. He announced in an official statement:
Today I am announcing that I am lifting all of these self-imposed restrictions. Executive branch agencies should consider all "contact guidelines" regarding relations with Taiwan previously issued by the Department of State under authorities delegated to the Secretary of State to be null and void.
The US will no longer act in accord with viewing the island in context of a single sovereign China when it comes to relations with Taiwan as has kept the unsteady "peace" for decades.
His statement began by describing the complex impediments restraining US action which have been in effect since at least the 1980's (since 1979, and outgrowth of Carter's Taiwan Relations Act) regarding the official 'One China' doctrine which he's just effectively declared null and void:
Taiwan is a vibrant democracy and reliable partner of the United States, and yet for several decades the State Department has created complex internal restrictions to regulate our diplomats, servicemembers, and other officials’ interactions with their Taiwanese counterparts. The United States government took these actions unilaterally, in an attempt to appease the Communist regime in Beijing. No more.
Crucially the shock announcement comes just ahead of U.S. Ambassador to the UN Kelly Craft's controversial visit to Taipei, which Beijing has already slammed as a "crazy provocation".
China had further already warned this week that Washington will pay a "heavy price" should it move forward with sending Kelly on the official visit.
Pompeo's full statement continued:
Additionally, any and all sections of the Foreign Affairs Manual or Foreign Affairs Handbook that convey authorities or otherwise purport to regulate executive branch engagement with Taiwan via any entity other than the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) are also hereby voided. The executive branch‘s relations with Taiwan are to be handled by the non-profit AIT, as stipulated in the Taiwan Relations Act.
The United States government maintains relationships with unofficial partners around the world, and Taiwan is no exception. Our two democracies share common values of individual freedom, the rule of law, and a respect for human dignity. Today’s statement recognizes that the U.S.-Taiwan relationship need not, and should not, be shackled by self-imposed restrictions of our permanent bureaucracy.
This is sure to create more transition chaos with a mere week-and-a-half left till Biden's inauguration.
The timing of it will also be a huge factor in determining Beijing's response, given it may look to Biden for assurances that he'll roll back whatever "damage" Trump's dumping of the longstanding 'One China' has done on the way out the door.
I don’t believe so. I believe she was being friendly and rubbing elbows with him to mimic a saying.. as that gesture from those two men with the object is like networking or talking/meeting/socializing/getting in good with people. That whole interaction means a lot...Those men would of had to bring that object with them had it planned to give to pence...Nancy must know what happened and what that was about...Getting Pence back on track as if the stoic Pence would be too distracted to do his jobI surmise that it is a type of symbol/ritual that they didn't want Pence to notice in the moment—sort of like a magic trick. Pence says that he is a Christian, so he probably knows the infamous Judas story. And strangely enough, the object given to Pence when he betrayed Trump mimics when Judas sold out Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.
Nancy was trying to get Pence on track by lightly elbowing him multiple times (it took a few before she got his attention) and perhaps divert him from making any connections from it until far after the deed was done.
