2024 US election: A Kennedy presidency? Trump again? Will it be rigged?

The clampdown continues. California governor Gavin Newsom doing his part to "rig" the election if you can call it that.

He actually followed through and is being accused of making parody/satire (protected free speech) illegal in California. There are thousands of tweets (and a lot of funny fake videos) about this already.

I don't know how this can't backfire. Actual, true statements and videos are plenty to make points about candidates. But prosecuting people who want to inject humor is very dystopian, IMO.

News that Iran was spying on the Trump campaign and passing the information to Biden/Harris is all over X today:

It is really something to watch accounts post all day about how we can't trust the FBI/CIA/Intelligence agencies for many good reasons and then turn around and accept what they say without question when it fits their worldview. "Iran is our enemy so this must be true!"

Bringing this up because this seems like a great illustration of a term I learned recently, the Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect that I think is important for us to keep in mind:

Trump LITERALLY Said "Make Israel Great Again"

"Former President Donald Trump addressed the Israeli-American Council at a "Fighting Anti-Semitism in America" event in Washington, D.C."

Not a must watch for this group, but pretty interesting. Here is trump really, really showing his support for Israel, and saying how many Christians are better supporters of Israel then the Jews.

The first video is of two guys grilling over the speech and hyphenation the Trump great Israel rhetoric, but then they bring out that it appears that he is also threatening the Jews. If they don't help get everybody behind him, and defeat the Dems, he could take his Trumpers and walk away. (It does appear that he said that.) (and very unlikely to happen of course) Trump called Schumer a Palestinian and Hamas all the way.

The second video is the whole speech for anyone interested.

Good to plan ahead for a mass-casualty event killing members of congress, I suppose.

According to The Washington Post, two Republicans and two Democrats in the House of Representatives have proposed a constitutional amendment that would provide continued representation for American citizens in the event of a potential mass casualty incident by allowing House members to be quickly replaced. The lawmakers have argued that the amendment would discourage people from committing violent acts to change the House’s balance of power.

[...]

The proposed amendment, which is also supported by Reps. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio), William Timmons (R-S.C.), and Emanuel Cleaver II (D-Mo.), would require each member of the House to give at least five names from their political party to their state’s governor that would be used to determine an interim appointee who would be selected within 10 days of a representative’s death. The appointee would serve until a special election could be held.

So Congress could be wiped out and replaced with undergrounders, for instance. Also good for the UN to plan ahead a global shock! Really makes you feel safe.

The Secretary-General notes at the outset that an Emergency Platform would not be a standing body or entity. Instead, it is envisioned as “a set of protocols that could be activated” in the event of complex, global shocks. According to the Secretary-General’s policy brief, such shocks could include:

  • Large-scale climatic or environmental events that cause major socioeconomic disruptions and/or environmental degradation;
  • Future pandemics with cascading secondary impacts;
  • High-impact events involving a biological agent (deliberate or accidental);
  • Events leading to disruptions to global flows of goods, people, or finance;
  • Large-scale destructive and/or disruptive activity in cyberspace or disruptions to global digital connectivity;
  • A major event in outer space that causes severe disruptions to one or several critical systems on Earth; and
  • Unforeseen risks, or “black swan” events.
Those shocks, the Secretary-General argues, “are [already] coming at us with greater strength and frequency, with serious implications for peace and security, economic stability, and environmental sustainability.” As the COVID-19 pandemic and the global cost-of-living crisis have shown, impacts can disproportionately affect the poorest and most vulnerable, “throwing SDG progress and Agenda 2030 further off-track.” Lessons learned from responding to these crises highlight the importance of:

  • A rapid, predictable, and structured international response;
  • Maximizing the UN’s unique convening role;
  • Catalyzing political leadership through networks of willing Member States;
  • Multisectoral, interdisciplinary coordination across the multilateral system;
  • Multi-stakeholder engagement and accountability in the global response; and
  • Strengthened accountability for delivering against commitments and bringing coherence to the international approach.
Conventional crisis response mechanisms “are not up to the task of responding coherently and effectively to global shocks that have an impact on multiple sectors simultaneously,” the Secretary-General underscores, as they are too fragmented, sectoral, weak, or underdeveloped. Therefore, he proposes that the UN General Assembly (UNGA) provide the Secretary-General and the UN system “with a standing authority to convene and operationalize automatically an Emergency Platform in the event of a future complex global shock of sufficient scale, severity and reach.”

The Secretary-General sees the proposed platform as flexible and agile, inclusive and multi-stakeholder, and interdisciplinary and multisectoral. It would also need to be able to ensure solidarity and equity, strengthen coordination, leverage existing mechanisms, and focus on securing commitment, the policy brief notes.

It would be up to the Secretary-General to decide when to convene an Emergency Platform, in consultation with: the UNGA President, the President of the Security Council (as appropriate); relevant national authorities and/or regional organizations; and relevant UN entities, specialized agencies, international financial institutions, and other multilateral institutions with a mandate to respond to sector-specific crises. The decision to convene an Emergency Platform would take into account the severity, reach, and complexity of the crisis and any existing coordination and operational response mechanisms.

The Secretary-General’s policy brief formulates six overarching objectives of an Emergency Platform: 1) high-level political leadership; 2) equity and solidarity in the international response; 3) coherent multilateral response; 4) inclusive and networked multilateralism; 5) advocacy and strategic communications; and 6) securing commitments and holding key actors to account for supporting the global response. It also outlines: the timeframe of an Emergency Platform; its relationship to governments, UN organs, and existing coordination bodies; and resourcing, protocols, Secretariat, and reporting arrangements for such a platform.

So to me it looks like a continuity of shadow-government plan at the national and international levels, with a lockstep sort of framework, quick response time, propaganda, and some form of blackmail.

This could be just one of the be afraid be very afraid messages, or maybe a “well? we "did" warn them” messages.

Either way, good advice.

J. D. Vance stopped at a local chain restaurant called Primanti Bros. during a campaign visit here and was banned from entering by the manager. Meanwhile, Kamala had a photo opt at another Primanti in the area recently. The manager threatened to call police if he got out of the car. He did, and went into the restaurant and paid for everyone's food and went out and took pictures with the people that had come to see him.

Trying to post a link to the video of the person who was there recording what was happening but it looks like it's coming up in another language? EDIT: it does take me to the right video.

You can refer back to what was mentioned here on this thread and other parts of the forum about Trumps pick for vice president, namely J.D. Vance.

A couple of days ago Donald Trump Jr. revealed a number of interesting details of how it happened that Vance was chosen, in his interview with Tucker:

Summary:

- It sounds like Trump Jr. himself (who is an interesting character in itself) recommended Vance for this position and Tucker seems to have played a role in that too.

- Jr. and Tucker mention how very much the republican “doner class“ was
against picking Vance and how hard it is to go against them.

- Jr. basically said how impressed he was how Vance was able to skillfully outsmart fake news people on mainstream in quite a number of interviews.

Somewhere else I heard that either he and/or other son’s of Trump know Vance personally for quite a while and are friends with him.

I‘m telling ya, Vance still seems to be a very interesting pick to me. Potentially quite a heavy weight in a positive sense.

Also, as I said elsewhere, I think Trump Jr. seems quite interesting too and potentially a future candidate for president. He is quite blunt and it seems like he has “woken up“ from quite a number of illusions about the world and America. What seems to have been his catalyst for going into that direction was everything that happened before and after Trump got elected for the first time. It also sounds like he has become pretty disillusioned about core illusions about America itself and how “great“ they ever were to begin with. Which is quite something for such a privileged american.

By the way, Tucker at the end says to Jr. that he hopes Jr. will run for president in the future.

At this point it almost seems like there is a huge coalition of very influential, famous and potentially good people forming around Trump. I mean, the PTB probably have never been confronted with a more brought and dangerous situation before (for them and their goals) than what we can see right now building in america. They might not be able to stop that wave, even if they steal the election yet again.

Something very big and profound might be growing/brewing/happening right now in the US, and even if they take out Trump (in one way or the other), the momentum picking up my might be too high to stop.

So, getting into the minds of the PTB, they might be more desperate than ever to put an end to any of that? But, how? Plandemic worked very well, right? Maybe they think, the Americans and/or the world, must now get seriously derailed from that direction by something “big“, maybe another plandemic, or something of a similar “magnitude“, like a serious war, or something?

But the question is, would they overplay, or maybe even seriously overplay, their position right now in their arrogance?

What a mess. The restaurant backtracked and came up with some story about confusion. But bottom line, they did refuse him., and threatened to call the police if he entered. Lots of lefty bullsh*t here.

And they never did apologize!!!

Primanti Brothers denies claim Sen. JD Vance was "banned" from entering, Vance encourages support of small business

NORTH VERSAILLES (KDKA) - Primanti Brothers is setting the record straight on claims that Republican vice-presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance was "banned" from making a political stop at their North Versailles restaurant Saturday.

The restaurant says it all comes down to momentary confusion for members of their staff, adding they were given no advance notice Vance would be coming.

Washington County GOP chair Sean Logue was one of what he said was about 100 Trump supporters inside the restaurant who had been tipped off that Vance would make a stop there. They arrived an hour early.

"The manager told patrons, other Republicans, that Vance is not allowed to make a campaign stop at Primanti Brothers," Logue said. "And then when there was pushback to say, 'Wait a second, Kamala Harris just did this a month ago,' the response was, 'Well, if he wants to sit down and order food, we can't stop him."

When Vance did arrive ahead of an event in Monroeville, Logue said that the restaurant's manager ran out to tell him that he was not allowed in the restaurant, that he couldn't have a campaign stop there, and that if he did go inside - they'd call the police and file trespassing charges.

"I think it's absolutely insane," Logue said.

Vance stayed out of the restaurant while one of his staffers tried to negotiate with the Primanti's manager, who Logue says then called their corporate office.

Many of the Trump supporters walked out of the restaurant, where Vance was taking pictures.

In a statement to KDKA-TV, a Primanti's spokesperson says Vance and his team were then welcomed into the restaurant where they were able to talk with different guests.

"Primanti's prides itself on being a staple of the Pittsburgh community and a proud American business that has hosted sitting presidents, politicians, and political candidates from across the spectrum for over 90 years. Our doors are open to all patrons who wish to dine with us. Without any advance notice, today's campaign stop caused some momentary confusion for our staff. However, Senator Vance and his team were welcomed into our restaurant shortly after and engaged with our guests inside and on the property. Senator Vance's supportive comments that our manager got a little nervous given the secret service, police and crowd accurately reflect the nature of what occurred, but we are glad that it was resolved quickly."
"Number one, he was not welcomed," Logue said. "JD Vance, on his own accord, risking a trespassing charge, walked into Primanti's, paid the bill for all of us, and walked out two minutes later."

Logue posted a video to Washington County GOP's Facebook page which shows Vance walking back inside the restaurant. He briefly addressed supporters when he exited the restaurant and returned to an SUV.

"Look I think what happened is she [the manager] just freaked out a little bit because there were a lot of people and she didn't want to make her restaurant part of a campaign stop," Vance said, in a video Logue shared. "It's alright, don't hold it against her, she just got a little nervous, it's a great local business, let's keep supporting it."

Primanti's addressed those comments in their statement.

We asked Logue about the positive nature of Vance's comments.

"Vance is a true gentleman, and he was being very nice and very gracious, and he was being magnanimous, and he didn't want to cause any other problems," Logue said. "I'm being honest with you. I'm telling you that the way Primanti Brothers treated me and the other Republicans is absolutely unacceptable, and nowhere in their statement is an apology, where's my apology Primanti Brothers." Logue said Primanti's has been trying to call him but he won't take their calls.

In their statement, the Primanti's spokesperson said their doors are open to anyone who wants to eat there.

KDKA reached out to a member of the Trump/Vance team for comment and are awaiting a response.
