5th of November - V For Vendetta Day!

Just finished watching. Fantastic as ever :D

Here, too!

I hope that with the "Occupy wherever" movement going on, more people will be inspired to watch "V". It was kind of buried when it came out because it was too darn close to the truth.

Just getting ready to watch with a couple of people who've never seen the movie. Followed up by the link to Laura's latest SOTT article, it should be educational. :v: I loved this article, it sure hits the nail on the head.

Just done watching the movie (2nd time seeing it). :)

A scene that stands out especially for me, is the one where V and Evie are being 'reborn'. V is being reborn through being burnt by the ways of the old system, somewhat like a phoenix, whereas Evie gets washed in the rain, and is ready to blossom in a free society.

Buried? It has taken me 3 years just to figure out what was going on in the forum and on SOTT in 2008 with the all the masks and the V's. I finally watched the movie a few weeks ago and enjoyed it very much.

I watched it yesterday as well. Great movie that really is a representation of the world we live in. When I saw how they were testing on people in the film, I was reminded of what Alex Jones said in the video posted on sott.net, he spoke about pesticides being tested on prisoners and children, and hearing that made me really angry. Not to mention how animals are being (ab)used in all kinds of tests... sick world we live in.

But I guess as V said: "Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror."

And in order for something good to happen, an individual and group effort is needed. And so I made a very small donation :-[ and hope that everyone will do so as well. We're all in this together and as Laura wrote in the V for Vendetta SOTT article: "Even though we are all individual human beings, those of us that ARE human all need to become as One - and that means excluding psychopaths and other deviants - in our search for the truth wherever that search may lead us..."

It's my birthday! I love watching V for Vendetta every year. :)

happy birthday Dawn--maybe you are still celebrating!

We went down to Occupy Denver yesterday (5th Nov) to hang out with the activists there. It wasn't a huge crowd, but we did not get there until after the Saturday noon march. There were many 'V' masks in evidence. A few guys are still camping out every night. There was a big group of police nearby, but they did not initiate anything while we were there.
I am going to make a sign saying "Psychopaths Rule Our World" for next Saturday's march.
Mr.A is going to print out some flyers about Sott.net.
I did talk to one bloke who regularly reads Sott! He was also smoking American Spirits, so we had a chat about tobacco.

Happy belated 5th of November! :v: I was busy yesterday and totally forgot :-[. I think next weekend I may watch V as it's a holiday. And Happy Belated Birthday Dawn! :)

It's never too late to Remember, remember the Fifth of November :)

Just finished watching V for Vendetta. That was one VERY powerful movie.... I had seen it when it first came out, and watching it now again, it had a completely different meaning. I have to say I'm really struck...

And inspirational! Almost dropped a tear with the People-Power scenes.

Same here :) In fact, I think that all my insides were shaken. Still are.

Also, I noticed that this year there were more fireworks here in London, they have been lasting for the whole week in my street, and several of my acquaintances have commented the same.
