7 Events I can't explain and other “strange” occurrences

I thought it is maybe a good idea to continue documenting some of the things that could potentially be “strange“ that I can remember and/or have noticed. It also helps me to remember stuff like that which I tend to forget. Feel free to tell me if it is inappropriate and should belong in a personal journal instead.

The following incident happened on 15. November 2025. I would categorize this incident as quite well rationally explainable thus probably nothing out of the ordinary although it might still be a bit “odd“.

The “appearing“ glasses on top of my car:

On that day I was going to my car with my guitar gear in order to drive to our music meetup. The car that I‘m driving is this car:

Before I went to the car and while I approached my intention was to clear it from quite many leaves that had accumulated below the windshield. So I started to do that on the driver side. Then I moved towards the drunk with my gear and noticed one leaf on top of the car that I noticed for quite a while (days before already) and thought “let’s remove it now“. And so I removed the leaf. Next thing I did was open the trunk and get my gear (guitar etc.) into the car. I did that and closed the trunk. Then I moved toward the front of the car again from the other side to remove the leaves down on the windshield on the passenger side. After finishing with that I was about to go into the car when I noticed glasses sitting on top of the car about 2/3 of it on top of the white paint not far away from where I removed the leaf just a number of seconds earlier! Here are the glasses (I took those pictures after the glasses “appeared“):

I was very perplexed about that and tried hard to make sense of it. My car was standing alone with no other car near by when the glasses appeared. No one was around either. The evening before I had driven the car, so it is very likely that it must have been placed there after I came to a stop there the day before.

Then I texted my roommate to ask if those are his glasses, which I suspected. And lo and behold it were his glasses that he had missed for quite a while! He was as perplexed as I was that they showed up on top of my car!

The most rational explanation would be that the glasses were already on top of the car and I was just not seeing them although they were not far away from where I just a couple of seconds earlier removed the leaf! It could also be that the glasses were completely on the black part of the trunk which made it easier for me to miss them the first time around and after I opened the trunk they slid from there almost completely to the white part (the black part is part of the trunk and goes up with it when you open it).

On the other hand what is the likelihood that someone has found my roommates glasses in that short time frame (from the evening before when I was last driving) outside somewhere and then choose to set it on top of my car even though usually quite a number of other cars are standing next to my car?

Something else potentially “strange“ happened last Friday, again connected with the above car. I would say it is one of those incidents that can easily and logically explained as perfectly normal, just coincidence, and nothing out of the ordinary.

But I‘ll record it here anyway so that I don’t forget:

For quite a number of weeks my car was reminding me to refill the windshield washer fluid: the electronics showed it to me constantly on the display. As usual though I postponed it and didn’t refill for quite a while.

Then on Friday morning I was about to drive to work with my bike and noticed something that looked white under the shining light of my bike sitting/longed under my car next to the right driving wheel.

So I parked my bike and tried to get whatever it was out from under my car. It was kind of hard to reach and quite a bit lodged between the underside of the car and the concrete, but then I succeeded.

It turned out to be an empty plastic canister of windshield washer fluid! Quite a bit perplexed I put it away on our trash bin and went to work with my bike. Later that day I checked the empty canister to have a closer look. The labels were still on both sides and it didn’t look like it was scratched much. So it is pretty unlikely that I drove with it sitting under my car. So it must have gotten there after I last drove the car which was about 7 days prior. The empty canister was also the same brand as one of the two full canister fluids we have in the garage for refilling.

Anyways, then I thought it is probably a good idea now to refill the damn fluid and perhaps that something is telling me something. But if so, I don’t know what exactly besides refilling perhaps.

So I opened the engine department of the car and refilled the fluid and noticed that around the battery and other places where quite a lot of leafy stuff and brocken up acorns and also leavings. I was quite a bit pissed about that because I had build in a rather expensive anti marten device with ultrasound and a number of plates that shock with electricity (the best thing you can get apparently).

So I cleaned the engine department up and then did a search: I suspect that it wasn‘t a marten but a squirrel.

I think the next night that creature came back into the car, so then I searched for another solution and went with selfmade lemon juice spray. Spraying around the front parts of the car and also a bit under and below it. After that, so far, it looks like it hasn’t entered the car again. So it seems to help, for now.
