Hey, EGVG. What would you say to taking one month off of all pop music? Don't listen to it, don't watch videos, don't read about it. One month. You can listen to classical instead if you need music.

I suggest this because you seem to have a bit of an obsession with these pop artists and their music rather 'melts the mind' (turns it to jelly in a way) and promotes a pathological view of reality/life/success/love/etc.

So - think it might be worth a try?

Oh! Wow, I don't know if I could or want to do that, I'm well aware of the pathological aspects of it so I will think about it. But I do think Kylie is more respectfull and artistic than others, less pathological if you may.

EDIT: Ok I'll do it

I think that's an excellent idea and am glad that you're going to try it. :)

when I remember correctly she doesn't write her own music or texts. so I don't think that she is a more respectfull artist than any others.

Besides the fact that your reply it seems to me impolite, i think that what Pashalis is pointing out is not properly his opinion since is based on facts, she's merely a popstar, a performer not esentially different from any other mainstream act. And regards to consider what she does as art just depends on your subjective conception of art.

I also found your response impolite EGVG. I have a view on what is an entertainer and what is an Artist and Kylie is a kind of entertainer for the masses. The songs lyrics are fairly poor in that they dont really say much. Aphrodite being the goddess of beauty, fertility, and sexual love. Another pop person selling sexuality as she always has done.

I would consider as suggested listening to some classical music for a while also and let your imagination conjure up different things other than sex.

While Pahalis and AWTF raise valid points, let's give EGVG a chance to listen to some classical music for a while and see if he can broaden his current views on music in general and women in particular.

Haven't got " time" to post much right now, but since it hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet, look up MK Ultra and mind control, if you don't know about it- Esoteric Kitten is a good resource to find out what's happening to most pop artists these days, including Kylie. It's mentioned in this forum too, I believe. Horrible stuff!
I believe Dr. Greenbaum and mind control is mentioned here somewhere, too. It's a real eye-opener, and important to know.

I was thinking that the women you sometimes post about and seem to be drawn to regarding the music industry seem very much like characatures - not real or down to earth. I wondered if you felt more interested in them because of some internal issue you have with women. I could be completely off on this but are there women you identify with that are not so made up? That seem more like everyday people?

Yeah, my Mom is a good example, but one in the public eye...I guess not! Your right, I like glammed up women, OOOH Laura! :) I identify with her,her caracter, her work it's amazing! And the love for her children! Loving and caring moms are what I most like and treasure about women, but on the other hand, I like women that live and sell a more material lifestyle to. But again let me stress that Kylie is more down to earth than her colleagues in the show business.

Also let me say that I'm not attracted to women in a sexual manner, like, at all. So to AWTF, mi imagination is filled with things that you don't know about, so to assume that because I'm used to listen to sexuality selling pop artists I have a sex full imagination, it's assuming too much, because it happens to be, NOT the case.

However, I do fantasize about finding a boyfriend or "the love of my life" (whatever that means), and YES I believe that listening to pop music & watchin TV has made me create in my mind a certain preconception of what love is, and I have to admit it's hard to let go of that fantasies, because they are firmly implanted in my jelly brain.
