I've said it on my reply to Anart that I would stop with the whole pop scene, but it's going to be hard, and I guess I got emotional when others started to say some truths and misconceptions about Kylie. I'm a little cranky beacuse I used to listen to POP everyday for years, and now I've cut it to zero in basically 12-15 minutes, the time that it took me to make the desicion to stop.

EDIT: I did not downloaded the book when you first gave me the link to this thread, I've just done it and I'll read it right away.
I guess the way you expressed yourself originally came across as kind of joking. I apologize if I misinterpreted it. Good luck with your pop music "fast". There should be lots to observe as it goes on, especially as we swim in a sea of mainstream media. Can't even go to a supermarket without being assaulted with "golden oldies", which unfortunately are my era
Classical music has such a different quality. It's like eating something truly nutritious as opposed to junk food. Try Bach's Brandenburg Concertos. They are great fun! Here's the #5 (three movements) which is my favourite.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSX3u3PGsDM&feature=related

Keep us posted on your thoughts and feelings as you read CoL. It's not an easy read, but an essential one.
I'm doing OK I think, considering that I used to listed to Pop every single day, for hours, for YEARS, know I only listen to it when I'm in public transports or sometimes in my fashion class they'll put the radio on. But I haven't listened to music with headphones or at home, since Saturday (only meditation or relaxation). I'm also reading the book, Caricature of Love, complicated read, barely on the third chapter, but so far it's good, the introduction left me a bit WTF :O?! but then it all starts to make sense. Thanks for asking!!! :) :) :)

I do have a good book or two on my shelves, but some of them, well... we won't speak of them anymore! I'm not proud.
