Assassination of Russian Ambassador for Turkey

Russian Envoy Assassination: Unanswered Questions (Video - 2:05 min.)
https://southfront.org/russian-envoy-assassination-questions-must-be-answered/

An outrageous international relations incident took place in Ankara on December 19th. The Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrey Karlov, was assassinated by Mevlut Mert Altintas, a Turkish police officer.

The death of Karlov complicates the international situation and changes the expected negotiated settlement for the Middle East.

Among a number of political and security questions, three main pointed questions over the incident must be answered.

Why were there no adequate security measures by Russian security services, especially amid constant provocations, rallies and threats against the Russian diplomatic staff in Ankara?

Furthermore, Vladimir Putin said that “considering the specific developments there”, it was possible to arrange, with a host state, for tightened security.

Why were there no adequate security measures by Turkish security services?

After shooting Karlov, the attacker had about a minute to chant slogans without interference or even the appearance of Turkish security personnel or policemen.

Altintas did not fire at other people and had been at the scene of the crime until he was liquidated with massive fire. When police and security services want to investigate a crime, especially a much-publicized crime, they always seek to capture a perpetrator alive by any means. But Altintas received over 20 bullets and was killed.

Erodgan’s words that the attacker was killed because he had a bomb aroused a special perplexity because the whole world saw a video in which Altintas was not able to have any bomb bigger than a grenade under his unbuttoned suit.

Why did Turkish security services allow the attacker to remain at the scene of the crime with other people for a long time?

The situation looked as if he did all that was needed and was waiting for arrest.

Why was Altintas liquidated?

Who would have been interested in this?

This is a bit of a non-issue. I've seen plenty of suicide vests displayed by fighters in Syria. They are not even as thick as a grenade - perhaps an inch thick - easily concealable underneath a dress shirt. They're not big, bulky things like you see in the movies.

Yeah, I don't see anything suspicious about this incident, other than it was likely inspired by some fifth column group in Turkey. All the questions that are being brought up have easily discernible answers with a bit of thought.

Yup. I'm reminded of something the Cs once said:

Q: Next item on the agenda: the loss of the new Mars probe. As of the latest I heard, it had still not "called home." Is the Mars probe lost?

A: Not lost, just partly dysfunctional.

Q: Why is it dysfunctional? Or partly dysfunctional?

A: Rocky surface, misallignment of antennae, slight damage to communications package. may still be retrievable if technicians can locate proper backup software inlet.

Q: So, that is the advice to try to save the mission?

A: Yes.

Q: Anything else?

A: No.

Q: So, there is no conspiracy there, either?

A: It is just as dangerous and just as useless to "see" conspiracy in everything s it is to "see" conspiracy in nothing. We tire of conspiracy "buffs." They are nutty, and serve as perfect false sponsors to those who really DO seek to conduct widespread mental/psychic manipulations and control.

I think I've said this before in a few places, but the best way to uncover any actual conspiracies when analyzing a global event, is to first find every way you can to debunk the existing conspiracy theories. What you are then left with will be your material for an *actual* conspiracy. This is a very important point. We're meant to be dedicated to uncovering the *objective* truth about any given situation, not "straining at gnats and swallowing camels".

Maybe i am a conspirationalist, but one day after the neocons threatening to "make Putin pay a price", the main peacemaking diplomat is killed, and now one day before xmas, a plane with the singers of the empowering, detested by the cold warriers, "Red Army Choir", fell out of the sky? Makes me think "the man behind the curtain" wants recognition? And, that, for a livable world, it will be necessary to move the CIA to another..

There’s a lot of interesting things going on in the background of the geo-political chessboard at the moment, particularly when it comes to the world’s main battleground where 163 nations are now represented one way or the other, fighting over Syria. And just as the US and its allies are losing that battle in the field, strategies could well be changing.

Russian Ambassador, Senior NATO Staff and Russian Diplomat – All Dead Same Week
http://www.globalresearch.ca/russian-ambassador-senior-nato-staff-and-russian-diplomat-all-dead-same-week/5564733

24 Dec. 2016 - For instance, the murder of Russian ambassador as reported by GlobalResearch stated that:

“The inevitable liberation of Aleppo was accompanied by apoplectic hysteria across Western political, policy and pundit circles calling for everything from additional sanctions on Russia to threats against the lives of Russians themselves.” In the week leading up to the brazen, cold-blooded murder of Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov in Ankara, Turkey, the United States repeatedly and publicly threatened “retaliation” against Russia for allegedly “hacking” the 2016 US presidential elections.”

GR’s report concludes and makes a striking point; “Unfortunately for the West, they find themselves threatening the world and celebrating the murder of ambassadors shot in the back by terrorists not from a position of strength, but from a position of profound and growing weakness. It is a vicious cycle that will only further undermine their legitimacy, diminish their influence and accelerate their decline.”

And how right that commentary was! Almost immediately in the same week – From the FreeThoughtProject:

Belgium — Yves Chandelon, NATO Auditor General, was found dead — by gunshot to the head — in the Belgian city of Andenne last Friday. Authorities are calling the death a suicide, but Chandelon’s family is reportedly vehemently disputing that assessment. Although information remains scarce, there are troubling details suggesting Chandelon indeed might not have taken his own life.

For one thing, the NATO auditor, who was apparently tasked with “counteraction against terrorism financing issues,” was found over 62 miles from Lens, the city where he lived — and nearly 87 miles from his place of work in Luxembourg. Chandelon also owned three registered firearms, but an unregistered weapon was discovered near his body.

Further, Belgian press reports, Chandelon “had mentioned to his entourage, he thought he had been followed and had received ‘strange’ calls.”

Hot on the heels of the Karlov killing, an additional suspicious death then happened in the same week, “Petr Polshikov, 56, was found with a single bullet hole to his head after a report that “an unknown assailant fired at least two rounds at the senior civil servant,” Russian media reported. Polshikov — who had been chief advisor/diplomat to the Latin America department at the Russian ministry — was found in his Moscow home, however, and only hours after the assassination of Karlov. The circumstances of his death are strange, to say the least.

Two bullet casings were found in his flat, and the gun, apparently used to murder him, was discovered under the sink in his kitchen, according to the Russian media outlet.

At this stage it is not known if these events are all coincidence but if this turns out to be tit-for-tat retaliatory actions on the geopolitical chessboard – expect more to come with an escalation that could turn seriously dangerous, as if it wasn’t that already!

Russian Defense Ministry’s Tu-154 Aircraft Crash in Black Sea

The Russian aircraft TU-154, which had disappeared from radar shortly after take-off in Sochi Sunday, has crashed in the Krasnodar Region.

Seems to me that, despite what many pundits were saying immediately after the assassination, the point was not to set Russia and Turkey against each other, (that that would not happen was easily foreseeable) but rather to try to thwart any rapprochement between Russia and the US. It seems to me that someone, somewhere, wants to make sure that the two traditional "super powers" remain at odds. The USA needed the hyped threat of the Soviet Union to expand its empire during the 20th century, and it needs one for the 21st century for the same reason. "Islamic terror" can only get you so far and for so long.

I was taught to always look for two things in every crime: who has a motive and who has the tools to realize their criminal plans. Based on these two principles, I am inclined to believe that there is great probability that Hillary Clinton is personally behind the murder of our ambassador to Turkey.

Plotting a Russian Benghazi: Is Hillary Clinton behind Ambassador Karlov's murder?
http://www.fort-russ.com/2016/12/plotting-russian-benghazi-is-hillary.html

The former Secretary of State and presidential candidate had a very serious motive to order this crime. This motive is not rational, but this does not mean that it is any less serious. This motive is exacting personal revenge on the Russian president. But let’s start with the other question: did Hillary Clinton have the capability of organize the murder of the Russian ambassador? Yes.

Turkish authorities are already saying that the murder was linked to the Fethullah Gulen’s secret organization which is famous for its close ties to the CIA and US State Department. As experts following Islamic organizations are saying, the claim that the armed Jaish al-Fath opposition coalition (earlier known as Al-Nusra) had taken responsibility for Andrey Karlov’s murder turned out to be a fake.

Putting all of these factors together, the theory that the murderer worked for Gulen’s organization is more convincing. This organization’s links to the CIA and State Department are well known. They include financing as well as legal, organizational, and informational support. No wonder Gulen has lived in the US for many years and American authorities refuse to extradite this “preacher” to Turkey.

If the killer really is from this organization, and this is precisely what Turkish authorities are saying, then there are only two variants to explain what happened: (1) either Gulen has gone insane and lost all fear and sense of self-preservation and decided to sanction the murder of the Russian ambassador without approval from his American sponsors and old friends, or (2) he got permission or even the order from someone to organize this assassination.

Gulen could have received approval or such an order from American intelligence, specifically the CIA, i.e., the team that tried to bring Hillary Clinton to power, or from Donald Trump’s team. I don’t believe that Donald Trump would have approved such. First of all, he wins nothing from this. Secondly, it is unlikely that such a staunch supporter of the Clinton clan as Gulen would suddenly decide to change masters.

In fact, there is a good book by ex-FBI agent Sibel Edmonds about Gulen’s patrons in the CIA and how the CIA uses his organization’s cells in Central Asia. The book tells, among other things, of how the former head of the CIA’s presence in Kabul personally resolved Gulen’s issues with American immigration services.

Thus, we are dealing with a situation in which the murder was most likely committed by a representative of an organization tied to the CIA which, with varying degrees of success, has been used for color revolutions. No one gains any political benefit from murdering the Russian ambassador, and only a complete idiot could assume that Putin will now get angry and start bombing Ankara. Our enemies are not idiots. The attack on the ambassador looks more like an action intended to show both supporters and opponents of Clinton that the supranational elite still has gunpowder.

Try to look at this situation not through the eyes of a Russian, but through the eyes of an American politician. When you look at the footage of Andrey Karlv’s murder, you’ll be reminded of Griboyedov, but an American politician will remember the death of Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi. The murder of the American ambassador in Libya was a serious personal nightmare for Hillary Clinton which has haunted her for many years and very negatively impacted her political career.

Let’s recall the background of this story which American officials and journalist from Hillary Clinton’s pool don’t like to talk about. Ambassador Stevens was killed by terrorists in Benghazi, Libya which was (attention!) under the control of militants fighting against Gaddafi. The terrorists stormed the US consulate in Benghazi and killed the ambassador along with several guards. This is the official version which is missing a few details that have since been unearthed by American media and are really unpleasant for Hillary Clinton, who sent the ambassador to Benghazi.

These details were exposed by Seymour Hersh, the famous American journalist and human rights activist, Pulitzer Prize winner, free press contributor awarded by the Media Foundation in Leipzig, winner of the Ridenhour Prize and other international awards. This journalist writes, citing his sources in the US intelligence services and sources in the US Senate, that the Benghazi consulate dealt with only one thing: the transfer of arms from Libyan militants to Syrian militants of the so-called ‘Free Syrian Army.’ The consulate had no political role.

Citing its own sources, Fox News has reported that literally an hour before his murder, Ambassador Stevens held talks on the transfer of an S-200 from Libyan militants to Syria. Even the name of the Turkish ship which was chartered for this purpose was revealed along with the fact that a Turkish diplomat participated in the negotiations.

Apparently, the negotiations went bad. This is not the first case in which the snake has bitten its handler. For the Americans, this was not the first time they created their own Bin Laden only to then suffer negative consequences.

For Hillary Clinton, the murder of Ambassador Stevens and especially his participation in transferring arms from Libya to Syria were a big problem. First of all, Congress had not given permission for such operations, and this was a very serious problem. CNN said that CIA officers working in Libya had warned that not only they, but also their families, would have problems if someone informed Congressman of what they were really doing in Benghazi.

Secondly, Clinton was blamed for having sent Stevens to Benghazi without guaranteeing him standard security.

Thirdly, the lie which her State Department told about Stevens’ activities is plain ridiculous. For example, the State Department claimed that the ambassador had gone to Benghazi to open a cultural center. Can you imagine a cultural center in the middle of a city taken by radical Islamic terrorists?

All of these aspects became a personal nightmare for Hillary Clinton, an eternal stain on her image, and an eternal occasion for her competitors to criticize here. And now let’s recall how she openly said that she has a personal conflict with Vladimir Putin. She claimed that Putin personally took revenge on her by personally organizing the hacking that led to her electoral defeat.

What could this ambitious American hawk do? How could she repair her reputation as a strong politician capable of delivering a painful blow at Vladimir Putin himself? Do you all not think that the murder of an ambassador who via diplomatic canons is the personal representative of the Russian president, is a perfect revenge? In fact, this is quite in Clinton’s character. Just remember how she rejoiced over Gaddafi’s murder.

Do you all not think that we have before us a successful attempt to force Putin to live through his own Benghazi? Hillary Clinton and the elite grouping that supports her could not organize a hacking of United Russia. In fact, I’m not even sure if United Russia has a server. They couldn’t have organized terrorist attacks in Russia, even though they may have tried. But they did have the resources to murder Russia’s ambassador to Turkey, and not only the resources, but an entire organization that they have nurtured and controlled for decades.

Revenge for the elections - there’s your motive. Gulen’s organization - there’s your tool for realization. And you also have the accusations against Putin, whom some of our fellow citizens blame for not organizing standard security for the ambassador. From the Americans’ point of view, this was a real “Russian Benghazi”, that is, if you leave out the fact that our ambassador was opening a photo exhibition and not peddling missiles for terrorists.

Maybe we, ordinary citizens, will never learn the truth, or maybe only our grandchildren will. But if I were investigating this crime, Hillary Clinton would clearly be number one on the list of suspects no matter how wild or conspiratorial this theory might seem to some. What do you think?

Erdogan accuses US-led coalition of supporting ISIS & other terrorist groups in Syria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said "it's very clear" that the US-led coalition is supporting terrorist groups in Syria, Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS/ISIL) among them.

"They give support to terrorist groups including Daesh (Arabic for IS)," Erdogan said.

Saying that the US have accused Turkey of supporting IS, speaking at a press conference on Tuesday the Turkish leader blamed the US-led coalition for assisting terrorists themselves.

Apart from IS, he also mentioned Kurdish People's Protection Units in northern Syria (YPG) and Democratic Union Party (PYD) as groups supported by the coalition.

"We have confirmed evidence, with pictures, photos and videos," he added.

On Tuesday, Moscow also accused Washington of "sponsoring terrorism" in Syria.

Commenting on the latest National Defense Authorization Act signed into law by President Barack Obama, the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out that the new bill "openly stipulates the possibility" of delivering more weapons to Syria.

Those arms "will soon find their way to the jihadists," ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, adding that America had "refused" to fully cooperate in fighting terrorism.

Russian media is full of rumors about a Russian woman who could have been connected with the assasination, so I thought I'd mention it here just in case. Here is the article from the New York Post:

Ambassador assassin may have been manipulated by secret lover
By Yaron Steinbuch December 30, 2016 | 10:45am

The cop who assassinated the Kremlin’s envoy to Turkey had been involved in a sexual relationship with a Russian woman who may have been planted by Western intelligence services, according to a report.

Turkish police recruit Mevlut Mert Altintas, 22, shot Ambassador Andrey Karlov in the back as he delivered a speech at the opening of an art exhibit in Ankara on Dec. 19.

Before being gunned down by police, Altintas yelled: “Allahu akbar” — Arabic for “God is great!” — and “Don’t forget Aleppo! Don’t forget Syria!”

Altintas’ girlfriend — or another associate — may have brainwashed him into fatally shooting Karlov, The Sun of the UK reported, citing Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.

The woman — who left Ankara long before the assassination — was being grilled by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s security services, the paper reported.

“The woman has admitted they had a relationship,” reported Hurriyet, which produced no evidence for the claims.

The paper added that the mystery woman could be a Western intelligence plant — or a terrorist working for the Fetullah Terrorist Organization, which is seen as opposing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

She also could have ties to the Mafia, the paper added.

There have been suggestions that the couple’s “relationship” had been based on payments from the assassin to the woman, but the paper reported that Altintas could have been coaxed into becoming a killer.

“It is very important to understand who the woman is — from intelligence, FETO or mafia,” said the Turkish report, which has been disseminated by Russian media.

“The Russian woman could have been a staff (agent of) Western intelligence staff,” the paper reported. “Using her sexuality she might have established a relationship with a Turkish assassin who could have directed him toward suicide.”

Altintas’ sister, Seher Ozeroglu, reportedly said it was as if her younger brother “was guided by someone” when he killed the 62-year-old diplomat. She implies it was a shadowy man known only as “S” whom her brother met in Ankara.

Russian authorities are working with their Turkish counterparts on a major investigation into the assassination, which Altintas was able to carry out when he bypassed an X-ray machine by flashing his police ID to enter the gallery.

A senior Turkish security official has said investigators were focusing on whether Altintas had links to US-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, whom Ankara blames for a failed July coup.

Gulen has denied responsibility for the coup and the assassination.

Portrait of an Assassin: Obama’s Revenge
_https://alethonews.wordpress.com/2017/01/01/portrait-of-an-assassin-obamas-revenge/

The events leading to the assassination of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey have a long and torturous trail.

The beginning and end are found in President Obama’s attempt to militarily encircle and discredit Russia through massive propaganda and sanctions. Obama built military bases on Russia’s borders; organized a putsch in the Ukraine; launched violent attacks on Russian allies in Libya and Syria; and encircled China, Russia’s ally in Asia.

Obama proceeded to organize Turkey, the EU, Saudi Arabia, Israel and vassal regimes in the Baltic and Balkan countries to dispatch arms, Special Forces and finances to terrorist mercenaries invading Syria, in order to oust Russian bases.

Central to Obama’s anti-Russian legacy was to ensure the election of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Obama worked with Clinton for five years to degrade Russia. To continue, Obama worked in tandem with the Clinton electoral machine to defeat Donald Trump because he was opposed to the anti-Russian campaign.

As the electoral campaign proceeded in Trump’s favor, Obama turned to the intelligence apparatus to intervene in the electoral process. In order to secure Clinton’s victory and heighten efforts to overthrow Russia’s elected government, Obama fabricated a massive campaign attributing the revelations of Clinton’s illegal correspondence to Russian hackers working with Trump.

Trump’s defeat of Clinton was a strategic loss to Obama’s efforts to overthrow Putin. Obama, in response, launched the most intense and virulent propaganda blitz against Russia since the early 1950’s. The mass media went 24/7 claiming Russian penetration of the US electoral system; the subversion of US democracy; and ‘decisive’ collaboration between Putin and Trump in determining the election.

Academics, journalists, the CIA and the rest of the intelligence agencies were recruited, primed and launched in the anti-Trump, anti-Russian campaign.

Obama’s campaign against Trump failed. The recount and Electoral College ploys were defeated. The courts, electoral officials and voters decided against Clinton-Obama.

Obama was enraged to the point of mental instability by a series of strategic defeats in wars and elections. The invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan resulted in prolonged losing wars. The Libyan intervention led to unending wars. Israel and its US cohort insulted, humiliated and led Obama by the nose, securing billions in handouts and the appointment of top Zionist officials. Obama’s encirclement and sanctions policy against Russia failed to undermine Putin’s presidency.

Obama faced a legacy of failure, defeats and disgrace.

With Trump’s triumph and Russian-Syrian military success in Aleppo, Obama’s ‘string broke’. He blamed Russia for his failures. He totally ignored the votes that elected Trump. He brushed off the hand counted recount and Court decisions which validated Clinton’s defeat. Obama’s blackmail and coercion of the Electors failed to change the outcome of the Electoral College. The street disruptions and calls to impeach Trump failed to gain traction.

Obama denied reality , embracing a paranoid vision of a deep Russian takeover.

Obama publicly declared he would openly and covertly pursue revenge, retaliation and deadly assaults on Russia.

Obama pressed forward to prevent Trump’s election, preparing to release a CIA fabricated report of the President–elect’s betrayal of America on the eve of his inauguration.

Obama struck at Russia escalating from added sanctions to assassination.

The Russian ambassador to Turkey was assassinated by a Turkish policeman who was a member of the US backed Fethullah Gulen movement. The Gulanist assassin echoed Obama’s propaganda line, accusing Russia of destroying Aleppo and its people.

The US mass media repeated the killer/Obama’s justification of the killing.

The murder and justification happened a few days after Obama promised a ‘secret’ and swift assault on Russia.

Trump sensing Obama’s resort to violent retaliation against Russia, and the likelihood he would turn the gun to ‘Putin’s accomplice’, the President-elect decided to take precautionary measures, he replaced Obama’s secret service with his private security guards.

Conclusion

We live in extraordinarily dangerous times. A deranged violent President is in command of a willing media and an intelligence apparatus ready and willing to obey.

There is little doubt that the murder of the Russian Ambassador will be the beginning of a cycle of violent assassinations. It is certain that Putin and Trump will take the appropriate defensive measures.

With a psychotic, frustrated and failed President refusing to concede defeat, we enter the beginning and most sinister period prior to his exit.

The Turkish police arrested five people in connection with the killing of Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov, Turkish media reported Saturday.

Five Arrested in Turkey Over Russian Ambassador's Assassination – Reports
https://sputniknews.com/asia/201701071049357195-karlov-murder-arrests-turkey/

Four of the five arrested people were the killer’s colleagues, Turkish Karar daily reported citing police of the city of Izmir.

The fifth person is a member of the Fethullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), who had supervised FETO activists studying at a police school in Izmir, which Altintas attended, according to the report. Karlov was shot dead on December 19 by off-duty police officer Mevlut Mert Altintas at the opening of an art gallery exhibition in the Turkish capital of Ankara. The gunman was killed at the scene by the police.
