So, it's Patriot day and it's also the day that US federal tax returns are due - I bet they're angling toward "domestic terrorists" - a militia movement or something. Just a guess though...

Have the same feeling, because contrary to the previous "attacks", they are atypically slow on offering any possible suspects. Wonder what's up with that? FBI, CIA,and the rest of the suits are silent too. Besides, we got used or programmed to see Arab terrorism as suicide bombers, but maybe they are introducing something new. Hard to say at the moment. If they are going to make it domestic, perhaps it will be the beginning of the "controlled revolution".

New York Post reports that a Saudi national is a suspect and is in custody (under guard in a local hospital).

According to one report a Saudi-Arabian national is being held in hospital on suspicion of involvement, as police confirmed there were three bomb attacks in the city.

The report claimed the man was himself injured by shrapnel from the finish line explosions.

Sounds like he was an innocent victim of the blast but has been arrested because he's Muslim.

Thank goodness my daughter woke up late and she and my wife decided NOT to go to Boston today!

So Obama said that they still "don't know" who did this, but that the persons or groups behind it will be hold accountable for it.
In fact he stressed that last point at least two times.

Obama speaks: Earlier today I was briefed by homeland security, we are continuing to monitor, to help state and local authorities to protect their citizens, to increase security and investigate what happened. Americans will say a prayer tonight and Michelle and I will send our thoughts to all those affected.

We don’t have all the answers, fbi, Secretary of homeland security are both mobilizing resources, we've updated congress and all leaders agree that we are not Democrats or Republicans, but are Americans united in concern for our fellow citizens.

Every single federal resource necessary to counsel and care for victims has been made available. First responders are heroic, so many Americans serve and sacrifice very single day, we salute them. We don’t know who did it or why. Don’t jump to conclusions before we have all the facts. We will get to the bottom of it, who did it and why they did it. Any responsible individuals or groups will feel the full weight of justice.

Today is patriot’s day – celebrates the free and independent spirit of this country. Boston is tough and resilitiant and they’ll pull together and move forward. Anticipate that as we get more information, our teams will provide briefings. We will find out who did this and hold them accountable.

Press asked if it was terrorism as he walked out of the room, no response.

Those are my thoughts too -- at this point, it looks like he wasn't in on the plan, OSIT.

Added: it actually reminds me a bit of what might have happened on 9/11. Maybe there are certain parties out there who think the US is dragging their heels too much on things like Iran, so they're applying some nudges to speed things up a bit?

It did seem that way. And based on the tone of his voice, he also seemed to be, I don't know how to put it. Tired of acting like he's emotionally involved might be what I'm looking for?
Like he thought it was just a drag.
He was going through the speech like a kid in school who's giving a report on something he couldn't care less about.

I was just about to post this...this fb page issue certainly seems interesting.

add: the first thing I was wondering is, is it possible to change the name of a page after it was created? It is supposedly but I can only find the instructions on fb and they don't work the way they describe.
but even if it's possible, that wouldn't make sense anyway imo. Why would they change/adjust the name of a page to something that just happened and then delete the page when questioned?
Unless it's just a distraction..

NBC nightly news leads off with a TERROR banner and makes the comparison to 9-11 by saying that "the runners didn't know that there was something very wrong until the second explosion, the first one being mistaken for a celebratory cannon or something - just like when the second plane hit the trade centers, that's when New Yorkers really knew something was wrong". Sheesh - they are pouring it on - non stop replays of the explosion and the screaming people (it was really a small explosion, so the constant replaying of it comes off as odd). The wheels are in motion for the latest installment of "Show them why they NEED US".

I was just about to post this...this fb page issue certainly seems interesting.

One explanation is that a guy created a FB page on horses a month ago, and that he changed the title of his page right after the Boston explosions, making it a memorial page. Some pple argue you can't change the url of a FB page so even if the guy had changed the name of the page, the url would have stayed the same (thus showing it was a page about horses). But others say it's possible to change the url. Anyway, something similar happened after Sandy Hook, apparently.
