We will read the last & final Chapter 9: Paleo Christianity for our meeting next Saturday at 7 pm Sydney time (+10 GMT). As it is only a couple of pages, we agreed to each of us discussing what stood out for us personally, and/or exploring any topics in FPTM that might be worth exploring further.
If anyone is interested, I made a compilation of excerpts from the sessions that mention Paul.

Hi everyone,

Below are the links for the recent Aus-Asia-Am group workshop for From Paul to Mark: PaleoChristianity

Here's the video of the last meeting

The audio

And the folder

And the slideshow
(Starts on slide# 244)

We will have a break this weekend and begin The Master and His Emissary: The Divided Brain and the making of the Western World by Iain McGilchrist for our workshop next week. To orientate ourselves how about we read the Introduction for our next meeting on Saturday 13 May at 7 pm Sydney time (+10 GMT).

See you all then!

In the next EU-AM workshop, we will continue on page 448 of the book:

'The teaching that follows Peter's declaration that Jesus was the Messiah...'

and cover up to page 476, so including the sections 'The Patron's Honor' on page 452 and 'The Olivet Discourse' on page 467.

As we will get a bunch of friends visiting next weekend, i will not be able to join you guys, and i wish you all an interesting and productive session! See you next time :flowers:

BTW, according to this discussion, McGilchrist may have misattributed the story of the Master and his Emissary to Nietzsche, and the story seems to be "un-Nietzsche-like". With a "vizier" as the villain, the story may be Turkish, Arabic, or Persian in origin.

Also, regarding the discussion at the end, the "eye tracking issue" could have been caused by environmental or dietary influences.
