Donetsk is not PARIS: In Krasnoarmejsk found bodies of 286 girls

"We found 286 corpses of these girls, and each was shot in the head." Zakharchenko said, explaining the brutality of this inhuman crime.

Western media do not write about this horrible crime, and once again demonstrates the injustice in the world. While in Paris, which also took place a terrible crime, all the world's major news media, crime in Donetsk or even in Syria do not receive so much attention.
The level of distortion of the attention by western medias with respect to all these other events is just sickening, and it has been for a long time, Odessa, Mariupol, Slavyansk, and in other places in Ukraine, where lives of comon people do not have importance for the sake of publicity or political ends of US and allies. What can one say, would it help to lit a candle? And that is just Ukraine, what about all the places where the US and NATO have bombed and created mayhem.

I do not see Poroshenko honoring a ceasefire? He's too busy moving heavy weapons from the Border and then moving them back.

Campaign against Minsk peace accords continues in Ukraine
http://tass.ru/en/world/836555

Many speakers say it's unacceptable to agree with terms imposed on Ukraine, and which only two months earlier were proudly referred to as "Poroshenko’s Plan" of settling the crisis in Donbas.

The Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine comprising senior representatives from Russia, Ukraine and the European security watchdog OSCE on February 12, 2015, signed a 13-point Package of Measures to fulfil the September 2014 Minsk agreements. The package was agreed with the leaders of the Normandy Four, namely Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine.

The Package of Measures, known as Minsk-2, envisaged a ceasefire between Ukrainian government forces and people’s militias in the self-proclaimed republics in Donetsk and Luhansk starting from February 15 and subsequent withdrawal of heavy weapons from the line of engagement. The deal also laid out a roadmap for a lasting settlement in Ukraine, including local elections and constitutional reform to give more autonomy to the war-torn eastern regions.

"Ukraine’s army has been shelling the territory of the former Donetsk airport and the area of the Volvo Centre for more than 90 minutes," the Donetsk News Agency quoted him as aying.

According to Prikhidko, mortar shelling is conducted from Ukrainian positions in Peski and Opytnoye. Ukrainian troops are also using machineguns, grenade launchers and firearms.

Apart from that, the DPR defense ministry said Ukrainian troops had pulled ten Grad systems and 11 self-propelled artillery systems to the settlement of Maryinka. Four Nona self-propelled artillery systems were reportedly deployed in the settlement of Granitnoye.

Kiev would do well, if they took up Putin's suggestion, The IMF would only put Ukraine further in debt.

Putin set a condition: Warranty and assistance
http://srbin.info/2015/11/16/putin-postavio-uslove/

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow had submitted a bid for the restructuring of the Ukrainian debt.

Putin said the official Kiev will accept an annual debt service of a billion dollars for a period of three years, provided that the West provide guarantees, according to Reuters.

Putin, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Group of 20 (G20) in the Turkish resort of Antalya, said that Russia provided Ukraine bid that is "better" than what is suggested by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

"Moscow has made a proposal to try to ensure the full debt service and that would not lead Ukraine in a difficult situation," Putin said, adding that since the Western partners and the IMF sought to guarantee the repayment of debt.

"If the West can give no guarantees, it means he does not believe in the future of the Ukrainian economy," Putin said, adding that this issue should be resolved by December.

Ukraine’s PM asks EU to set up fund for Ukrainian officials to drive them off corruption
http://tass.ru/en/economy/836816

In his words, the fund will be used to make extra payments to prosecutors, judges, government officials, customs officers who would carry out reforms and stay away from corruption schemes.

KIEV, November 16. /TASS/. Ukraine has called on the European Union to set up a special fund to pay premium to Ukrainian government officials to drive them off corruption.

"We need a helping hand in uprooting corruption. We would need an incentive fund for government officials to be set up in a span of two years," Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said on Monday.

In his words, the fund will be used to "make extra payments to prosecutors, judges, government officials, customs officers who would carry out reforms and who would stay away from corruption schemes."

He said the root of the corruption among Ukrainian government officials was in their low wages. "If a government official is paid a wage of $100 we will never be able to do away with corruption," Yatsenyuk said at an anti-corruption conference.

He suggested an international anti-corruption mission led by representatives of the European Union and the United States be set up in Ukraine.

"Our suggestion is that our partners from the European Union and the United States delegate FBI investigators and EU law enforcers who would help Ukraine’s police to counter corruption and investigate corruption-related crimes," he said

Ukrainian Punitive Forces evicting civilians, occupying homes
http://fortruss.blogspot.ru/2015/11/basurin-uaf-evicting-civilians.html

Friday November 20, 2015 - Ukrainian punitive forces are forcibly evicting civilians in front-line homes, the deputy commander of the DPR Ministry of Defense, Eduard Basurin, stated to journalists today.

“We continue to receive information about the eviction of civilians from their homes in a fraudulent manner by Ukraine’s military units. This is happening in the residential areas of Ochertino, Kurdyumovka, Aleksandra-Kalinovo, and is done under the pretext of an alleged offensive being prepared by the DPR army,” he said.

According to the defense department representative, punitive forces are coming into houses, forcing people to collect their things, allowing only one bag, and are throwing them into buses which taken them in the direction of Artemovsk. The subsequent fate of these citizens is unknown.

Basurin suggested that punitive forces are pursuing two objective with such actions: firstly, they are placing personnel in comfortable conditions before the coming cold, and they can now blame the armed forces of the DPR in the case of a shelling of the residential area.

“Once again, we ask the OSCE and other human rights organizations to turn their attention to the facts of the inhuman treatment of the civilian population of Donbass,” the representative of the headquarters of the army stated.

LPR police: Azov has returned; UAF equipment on the move
http://fortruss.blogspot.ru/2015/11/lpr-police-azov-has-returned-uaf.html

The return of the so-called “territorial volunteer battalions” to the contact line might lead to tragic consequences for the UAF leadership. The deputy chief of staff of the People’s Police, Colonel Igor Yashchenko, stated this today in a briefing to Lungansk Information Center.

According to Yashchenko, the strengthening of Ukrainian positions on the contact line with volunteer battalions will lead to armed clashes between units of the enemy.

He also noted that Kiev, in violation of the Minsk Agreements, is continuing to supply UAF units on the line of contact with UAV’s, and that UAF units are continuing to increase the number of military equipment, including helicopter gunships, close to the front line. In particular, he noted that, according to the intelligence of the people’s police of the LPR, “approximately 160 units of military equipment and two Mi-24 and Mi8 combat helicopters have been detected in the south-eastern outskirts of Svatovo.”

In addition, on November 10, the deputy chief of staff reported the identification of cases of UAF military equipment being moved along the contact line and deep inside Kiev-controlled territory. In his words, “by such demonstrative actions, Kiev security forces are attempting to intimidate and disturb” the people’s police, which “are now on combat duty near the front lines” and “provoke them to use weapons in order to blame the LPR of armed aggression.”

In addition, residents of Stanitsa Luganska , not far from the village of Bolotnoe, reported the transfer of Ukrainian military vehicles to the residential area.

State of emergency, blackout in Russia’s Crimea after transmission towers in Ukraine blown up

Russia’s Crimea has switched to autonomous reserve power after transmission towers in the adjacent Ukrainian Kherson region were blown up, causing a blackout. Meanwhile, the Right Sector and Crimean Tatar “activists” have been attempting to block repairs.

Crimean authorities rushed to connect hospitals and other vital infrastructure to reserve power stations and generators late on Saturday after the four main transmission lines from Ukraine were cut off in an apparent act of sabotage. The regional energy ministry has created an emergency response center to deal with the power cut.

Fools. First, they refuse paying their gas bills to Russia, and now cut off Crimea's electricity. They probably never heard of an expression "karma is a b**ch".

Russia ceases coal deliveries to Ukraine in response to Crimea blackout
Russia has ceased coal shipments to Ukraine in response to the restriction of the electricity supply to Crimea. This was stated by deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Mustafa Dzemilev, after a meeting with Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko.

“I will tell you honestly - and I spoke about this with the president - that a very difficult situation has developed. In connection with the termination of electricity, now Russia has stopped deliveries of anthracite, which means that seven power stations in Ukraine will cease work,” Dzhemilev said.

On November 22, Crimea experienced a total blackout as a result of the ceasing of the power supply from Ukraine. A state of emergency has been declared on the peninsula.

Earlier on Sunday, the head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs department on combatting drug-related crimes, Ilya Kiva, reported the explosion of electricity transmission poles which supplied Crimea. A supporter of the unrecognized [by Russia]

Are they trying to convict him (in absentia) because he refused to join the European Union?

Ex-Ukrainian President Yanukovych to be Tried in Absentia in 2016
http://sputniknews.com/europe/20151121/1030510325/yanukovych-trial-ukraine.html

KIEV (Sputnik) — The trials in absentia of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and his associates will begin next year, a Ukrainian parliamentarian said Saturday.

“The court gave the permission for convicting Yanukovych and his inner circle in absentia,” the leader of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc “Solidarity” party, Yuriy Lutsenko, said, as quoted by the party.

According to Lutsenko, the inquest will take place until late December.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko added later Saturday that the procedure of in-absentia conviction would only be temporary.

Yanukovych served as Ukraine’s president from 2010 until he was ousted by a military coup in 2014, almost a year before his presidential term was due to expire. The coup was preceded by months of large-scale protests in Kiev following Yanukovych’s rejection of a plan to deepen the country’s ties with the European Union.

In the beginning of 2015, Interpol placed Yanukovych on its wanted list after Ukrainian authorities accused him of embezzling millions of dollars in public funds, but later removed him.

Ukraine turns down Russia’s help in electricity supplies resumption
http://tass.ru/en/world/838357

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Ukraine has turned down Russia’s assistance in resuming electricity supplies to Crimea and said it will do repair works on its own, an insider source told TASS on Sunday.

Russia offered its help to Ukraine. They turned it down. Contact are maintained on a permanent basis. Ukraine will do repair work on its own," the source said.

Crimea was cut off electricity supplies at 00:22 a.m. Moscow time. Electricity supplies were disrupted via all the four transmission lines running from Ukraine. Two of them went out of service on Friday when transmission towers were damaged. The other two were blown up last night. Crimea’s authorities have imposed a state of emergency regime.

The incident has caused electricity problems to consumers in Ukraine too.

"The Ukrainian authorities are interested in the soonest resumption of electricity. Now demining works are underway there," the source said.

All Crimean cities supplied with electricity - emergency headquarters
http://tass.ru/en/economy/838346

SIMFEROPOL, November 22. /TASS/. All large cities on the Crimean peninsula are supplied with electric power after electricity supplies from Ukraine were completely cut off, Crimea’s First Vice-Premier Mikhail Sheremet said on Sunday.

"We actually have all the cities connected [to power supply]," said Sheremet who heads the headquarters for eliminating the consequences of an emergency situation on the Black Sea peninsula.

Powerful electricity supply generators will be sent to the regions experiencing difficulties with electric power supply," he added.

Fuel stocks for backup electric power supply sources in Crimea will suffice for at least 30 days, Crimea’s First Vice-Premier Mikhail Sheremet said on Sunday.

The schedules of electricity blackouts will be brought to the notice of local residents every two hours, he said.

The Crimean Energy Blockade: What You Need to Know
http://sputniknews.com/europe/20151122/1030550351/ukraine-crimea-energy-blockade

On Friday night, two of the four electricity transmission lines in the southern Ukrainian region of Kherson supplying power to Crimea were destroyed, with the remaining two blown up on Saturday night. As a result, beginning Saturday, 1.9 million of the peninsula’s 2.3 million residents were left without power, with authorities introducing a state of emergency.

Over 100 brigades armed with over 500 diesel generators have been dispatched to ensure the provision of power to socially important facilities, with authorities setting up an emergency schedule for the supply of electricity and water to areas hit by the outage.

At the moment, the Crimean peninsula relies on four major power lines from Ukraine for much of its electricity. These include the Melitopol-Dzhankoy line (330 kW), the Kakhovskaya-Dzhankoy line (300kW), the Kakhovskaya-Ostrovskaya line (330 kW) and the Kakhovka-Titan line (220 kW).

Ukrenergo emphasized that the downing of the lines to Crimea have affected the supply of power to Ukraine’s own southern regions, including Kherson and Mykolaiv. The situation is apparently so bad, Ukrenergo Deputy Director General Yuri Kasich said Sunday, that the shutdown of just one more element at the Kakhovskaya substation could have a “cascade effect,” leaving up to half of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions without power.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian energy officials have formally rejected offers for assistance from the Russian energy ministry, assuring their colleagues that the situation was under control, a source in the Russian energy ministry told RIA Novosti.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has since opened four criminal cases in connection with the destruction of the power lines, a police spokesman in the Kherson Region explaining that the charges include one count of a deliberate attempt to damage power facilities, two of causing bodily harm to the police, and a fourth count for deliberately obstructing the work of local journalists.

With Putin's attention on Turkey and NATO in the downing of the Russian Military plane and helicopter incident, U.S. and NATO increase their operations in Ukraine.

US troops begin training Ukrainian regular forces
http://news.yahoo.com/us-troops-begin-training-ukrainian-regular-forces-201834683.html

Washington (AFP) - US military experts on Monday began training Ukrainian soldiers and special operations forces in the war-torn country, the Pentagon said.

US troops had already deployed in small numbers to Ukraine to train National Guard forces, but under a plan first announced in July they are now helping regular military units.

The US troops "will be training five battalions of active-duty troops and one battalion of special operations forces personnel," spokesman Captain Jeff Davis said.

The United States and its NATO allies have backed Ukraine diplomatically and have denounced what they see as Russia's intervention to support the rebels and prolong the destabilizing conflict.

This probably is much less than it might seem. While a "battalion" refers to about 300 to 800 personnel in most armies, the Ukrainians bend that a lot, such that they might have only 200 people in a battalion. So those "five battalions" might represent only about 1,000 troops. The US might assign only around 100 noncoms to conduct training for a group of that size.

It's not likely to make much difference, especially considering that the corrupt Ukrainian officer corps will almost certainly steal and sell any equipment provided by the US.

Ukraine president: Voting no on referendum is a “yes” vote for Putin

Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko is very hopeful that the Netherlands will vote for the association agreement with Ukraine in the referendum in April next year. He stresses the importance of Dutch people’s right to express themselves in a referendum, though he calls the voting “corn on Putin’s mill”, in an interview with NRC on Thursday.

In the referendum next year, Dutch citizens will vote on the Association Agreement that the European Union closed with Ukraine. The agreement hasn’t been ratified by the Netherlands yet. A majority in the Tweede Kamer, lower house of parliament, believes that the outcome of the referendum should be adopted as the Netherlands’ stance, if the outcome is valid, the Telegraaf reported on Wednesday. The validity of the outcome is determined by a number of factors, including that a minimum of 30 percent of Dutch citizens should cast their vote.

President Poroshenko issued a cautious warning in the interview with NRC. “Everyone in the Netherlands needs to know that a vote in the referendum is a vote for or against the Ukrainians who gave their lives for European dignity and values”, he said. He added that the MH17 disaster improved the relationship between the Netherlands and Ukraine. “You can’t arrange it. It just happened. Within three hours there was an ocean of flowers at the embassy in Kiev, from people who had never been in the Netherlands. Pain unities peoples.”

The Ukrainian President also commented on the fight against terrorist organization ISIS in Syria and Iraq. He is not concerned that ISIS will shift the Ukraine issue to the background. He compared it to Adolf Hitler’s annexation of the Sudetenland. In 1938 Britain and France forced Czechoslovakia to cede Sudetenland to Germany. According to him, people then also said that Sudetenland was not as important. “But ultimately the price of this supposedly peaceful solution was very high, Europe has learned its lesson.” He added that he has no objection to Russia joining the coalition fighting against ISIS. “But only if they fight ISIS and ceases to support Assad.”

It's amazing how this man (Petro Poroshenko), who seems to have a very perverse understanding of "democracy," fwiw, and who has not really lived in a democratic country, having been born in the USSR and dealing with the aftermath of its collapse ever since it happened, is trying to teach the Dutch, who have at least a few generations of democracy under their belt, how to "express themselves" in a referendum. Sort of runs parallel to this quote I am just reading:

[These ideas of "social pedagogues"] might, sometimes, even be true, but are more often constricted or contain the taint of some hidden pathological thought processes. Such people have always striven to impose pedagogical methods which would impoverish and deform the development of individuals’ and societies’ psychological world view; they inflict permanent harm upon societies, depriving them of universally useful values. By claiming to act in the name of a more valuable idea, such pedagogues actually undermine the values they claim and open the door for destructive ideologies.

Those who have been interested in this subject may find it useful to watch this series of documentaries, called "Roses Have Thorns," which is practically a chronicle of the events with very little commentary, captured through the eyes and lenses of investigative journalists under the banner of a "Watchdog Media Institute".

If you want just to see for yourself, and have courage not to give in to immediate judgments, this is the perfect format. However, be warned: The series is very long, and contains disturbing images.

Here is the 1st part:

Not to get off the subject of Ukraine but the same tactics that were used in Yugoslavia are being used by the Ukrainian Military.

CIA Agent: Millions have spent to break up Yugoslavia
