Coronavirus Pandemic: Apocalypse Now! Or exaggerated scare story?

For curiosity's sake, I decided to take a look at all cause death in Flanders (region of Belgium)

This is how 2020 compares to the averages of 2015-2019:
- 2020: months 1 through 11 have a total of 57516 dead
Keep in mind that the 955 more than average deaths in August are mostly excess deaths from a heat wave.

- 2015-2019 average: months 1 through 11 have 56738 dead


Conclusions from that page for the data so far:
- barring the heat wave, all cause deaths were just average and covid had no impact.
- death rate seems to have held steady since 1992 in Flanders. I would say the slight rise over the years is because the population is getting older as a whole.
- For Dec, the average expected death rate if 5571. Adding that number to the 2020 numbers so far gives us a number that isn't that much different than average.

Edit: I guess it can be argued that influenza was perhaps displaced and without covid the former would have "taken care of business" to end up with very similar numbers.

As an experiment, I decided to look at all cause death numbers for the county in California that I live in.

2017: 1766 deaths (139.75/month avg)
2018: 1669 deaths (139.08/month avg)
2019: 1715 deaths (142.92/month avg)
2020: 1421 deaths (first 10 months)

If we take the average of the three preceding years and project Nov and Dec (unknown data at this point), the the total deaths (all causes) for the county that I'm in will be 1702 (1421 + 2 * 140.58) for 2020 which seems to be in line with previous years.

Pandemic my fuzzy peaches.

Does this apply to her job?
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide their

In Poland, a number of new rules were introduced yesterday that are to apply from December 28 to January 17.

Closing of shopping malls (except for stores selling basic necessities), customer limit - one person per 15 square meters
Curfew on New Year's Eve from 7pm to 6am
Closing of hotels, also for guests on a business trip (they will be available only to medics)
Closing of the ski slopes.
Sports infrastructure is available only as part of professional sports (gyms have been closed much earlier yet many owners have avoided this ban and some gyms have remained open.
Children up to 16 years old are not allowed to stay outside and move from Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm (this ban is stupider than others, with a child you will not be allowed to go to the store or anywhere else
Mandatory 10-day quarantine for people coming to Poland by organized transport.

The reason for introducing these new rules is allegedly preventing the 3rd wave of the coronavirus.

The government is also planning a special law that will fight the so-called "fake news". Of course, politicians perversely called it the opposite of the intended purpose as an act on the protection of freedom of speech. As reported by the presidential office "Talks have begun on the fight against disinformation in the context of vaccination against COVID-19.

What Happened: Approximately one week ago former pharmaceutical (Merck) rep Brandy Vaughan, founder of non-profit LearnTheRisk (learntherisk.org), was found dead in her home. Her death was sudden, suspicious and is currently being investigated by authorities. What’s drawn many people’s attention to her death is that she made a Facebook post towards the end of last year urging people to investigate her death and spread the word if she were to be found dead. Prior to that Facebook post she put up a video on YouTube expressing how she had been harassed and had experienced some weird things as she seemed to be quite shaken and worried. She said it was “scary.”

In her Facebook post, not only did she request journalists to cover the story if she passed suddenly, but she also requested that her close friends start a fundraiser to investigate her death. If something were to happen to me, it’s foul play and you know exactly who and why – given my work and mission in this life. I’m also NOT accident prone. And I got the highest health rating possible when I went through a battery of medical tests a couple of years ago for my life insurance policy. If something were to happen to me, I have arranged for a close group of my friends to start a GoFundMe to hire a team of private investigators to figure out all the details ( I have the team and have passed the info on to them). Oh, and money for a PR firm to make it national news. There would be a press release sent to every journalist in this country (and more). It would not be swept under the rug, and it would be their worst nightmare – Vaughan

The latest update comes from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office who just announced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

“The decedent has been positively identified and the death is believe [sic] to be a result of natural causes based on an autopsy exam conducted last week,” Santa Barbara County Sheriff Public Information Officer Raquel Zick said in a statement. “The final cause and manner of death determination are pending toxicology screening which normally takes 4-6 weeks.” (source)

According to Children’s Health Defense, Brandy Vaughan passed away due to gallbladder complications, a medical issue that she privately struggled with throughout 2020. This was a confusing post given the fact that no evidence has been provided to make this claim, and it contradicts what people closest to Brandy have been saying, that foul play cannot be ruled out until a proper investigation has ensued. They have since published and updated article outlining these points.

A recent Facebook post by one of her best friends, Tina Marie who Vaughan had thanksgiving dinner with, where she was completely fine, happy and healthy, just days before her death reads as follows:

Please held share the fundraiser for Brandy all over! I’m exhausted. I’ve slept 14 hours total since I found out she passed. I need an army of help!!! We are up against a powerful beast that has the money to hire PR teams, controlled operatives, etc. We have beautiful souls and passionate hearts…United we stand! Let’s honor Brandy Vaughan’s dying wish (which was to have her death properly investigated). Thank you for supporting. Please help us bring justice to her, by donating, and/or sharing the fundraiser. She deserves a proper investigation!

If Vaughan was murdered, those who committed this crime must have been well aware that an investigation, autopsy and toxicology report would ensue. No doubt they would make their best efforts to make Vaughan’s death appear as if she died of natural causes. It’s just chilling to think that Vaughan had been warning her followers about this for quite some time, and that her death is extremely sudden and suspicious. We may never get the answers we are looking for, but hopefully we do, which again is where your help with the fundraiser comes in.

So, as of now, there are still a lot of unanswered questions, and we just don’t know what exactly happened.

Vaughan was the founder of learntherisk.org, a website/non-profit organization that created awareness about the dangers of various pharmaceutical drugs and concerns that many scientists and doctors have been raising about vaccines.

Her background, working for pharmaceutical giant Merck, inspired her to do the incredible and brave work that she did. She was a legend and worked extremely hard with enormous amounts of passion and determination. While working in the pharmaceutical industry she sold Vioxx, a painkiller that was found to double the risk of stroke and heart attacks and was eventually taken off the market as a result. “From that experience, I realized that just because something is on the market doesn’t mean it’s safe,” explained Vaughan. “Much of what we are told by the healthcare industry just simply isn’t the truth.”

Her organization created awareness in a very credible way. She gathered countless doctors and scientists from around the world and archived published peer-reviewed research outlining the concerns being raised in the scientific community about various drugs and vaccines.

Her organization reached millions of people globally every single month on social media, and tens of thousands through her website alone. They posted 38 billboards which reached over 30 million people, and they have hosted over 30 campaigns and rallies in the past two years. They’ve produced videos and educational materials that reach over 1 million people, and did educational talks and events worldwide.(source)

The Takeaway: I published an article about Vaughan’s death shortly after her passing. In it I concluded what I write below. My thoughts and feelings remain the same, so I thought I would just copy and paste it here for those who didn’t read my previous article:

Many mysterious deaths have plagued the alternative media/health community over the years, especially when it comes to holistic doctors.

Vaughan was one of many to create awareness about issues, especially concerns about vaccine safety, in a credible way. It’s one thing we pride ourselves on doing here at Collective Evolution. Despite presenting information from credible sources, renowned scientists and peer reviewed publications, concerns raised by vaccine safety advocates are often labelled as “conspiracy theories.” Anybody who presents any type of information that raises any type of concerns about them is always referred to as an “anti-vax conspiracy theorist” while the concerns they raise are never really properly addressed nor countered. This happens to doctors and renowned scientists publishing research all over the world, yet their concerns, again, continue to remain unacknowledged and ridiculed by the mainstream.

Why does this happen these days with so many controversial topics? What’s going on here? Here’s one topic on the issue, out of many, that is a great example of what I am talking about.

Our sincerest thoughts go out to all of her family and friends, we will continue to do what she would want all of us in this space to do, keep going.
