Over 36,000 fines for violating Covid measures issued last year ​

The police and enforcement officers issued more than 36 thousand fines for people violating corona-virus measures last year, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) said on Thursday, NU.nl reports.

After assessment, the OM imposed a fine in just over 22 thousand cases. Over 7 thousand people appealed, a little more than 30 percent. In other cases, about 11 percent of people appeal.

The OM handled just over 400 corona-virus related criminal cases last year. Most of these were people suspected of coughing or spitting on police- or enforcement officers, claiming to be infected with the corona-virus.

Police and council wardens issued some 36,000 fines last year for breaking the corona-virus rules, but more than 30% of the people fined are appealing.

Normally, only around one in 10 people against a police fine, according to public prosecution department figures.

Many of the appeals are likely to be down to a change in the rules last summer, when the original fine of €390 for breaking social distancing rules was cut to €95, following major criticism from MP's. The lower fine does not result in an automatic criminal record.

Lawyer Janbart Kalk, who is representing a number of people protesting about their fines, told the Parool newspaper [in Dutch] he understands why so many people are appealing.

‘The logic behind the rules is very unclear to many people,’ he said. ‘You can go alone and visit your parents but your parents can’t come together to visit you. People get the feeling the rules are verging on being arbitrary, and then they don’t agree if they get fined.’

Appeals have led to some fines being torn up, the Parool said, often because the police did not first issue a formal warning.

The sharp increase was especially evident among children at 9.3 percent. The food bank reports that the need for assistance to supply daily meals has been on the rise for the past couple of years.

The demand for assistance differs between regions with Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the lead.

Going to the food bank is still often associated with shame. This causes people who do not have enough money to buy their groceries to avoid the food bank. The food bank, therefore, created the campaign, “Nothing to be ashamed of” [in Dutch] to reduce the negative connotation linked to asking for assistance from a food bank.

Help is especially required now that many people have lost or are at risk of losing their jobs, the food bank says. “Because as the pandemic has let us see, this is a hefty blow for everyone. From young to old, from employees to employers and from start-ups to established businesses”, the organization said in a press release.

In the Netherlands, 38 thousand food packages are distributed weekly by 13 thousand volunteers in 171 local food banks.

Very soon after lockdowns began in March 2020, the number one 'trending Covid conspiracy theory' that MSM news portals were knocking down with ease was '5G causes Covid'. When it later became clear to them that the numbers of (real) cases and deaths were negligible, to incorporate the lack of any substantial pandemic meriting draconian lockdowns, the primary (false) alternative narrative adapted to 'it doesn't exist'.

I am not critizing you @cope !

So, that being said - i feel always a bit weary when i read awesome articles about super duper tech. Now corona and viruses becomes a portal for vastly more tech. But for what really ? And for whom ?

I would love to see good ol fashined common sense investments into clean water, good air, humane and ecological soil/food production including nature in it instead of mono cultured empty veggies and artificial whatever. And common sense electricity without shame or blame.


Peddling excuses ?

Virus on skin has never really been a problem since they can’t penetrate the skin. Using corona as an excuse for new fancy tech, just continues to strengthen the psychological nervousness about viruses (and germs). It supports the false narretive indirectly, coming through the back door again.

Haven’t we gotten enough of that fear ? Selling tech with arguments of killing virus... oh well, there we go again. I am just not buying it.

Nice that there is a good interview held in english with Dr Wolfgang Wodarg (as many earlier ones, were mainly held in German) I consider him be this grounded, gentle, highly knowledgeable human being - outlining the underpinnings which lead to our Plandemic.

Just finished listening to the two part interview, which is heartfelt, poignant and perfect to recommend to acquaintances. His experience in large organizations and insights into WHO, CDC and government health agencies are invaluable. In layman terms he outlines an excellent interconnected cluster of contexts, which is very useful to understand. He emphasizes the strength of networked groups, strategic enclosure and be clever as foxes, yet gentle as doves.
In order to start the changes, these two videos should be watched by as many as possible.
