Do you think that it is reasonable that the test is not given to everyone?
Here is a bit from the news:

That is what hysteria does to people and he wasn't even in the affected area.

In looking up what a test costs, someone said it was equally to the cost of the normal flu test. That is in the US at a cost of $150 on average according to this site. Let us say it only cost $10 if done on the cheap and all medical staff volunteer their time. The US has 320 million people. Would you not in order to make America great again, test all Americans? Sure and how could you even think of excluding some people from it when human extinction is just around the corner. $3.2 billion!

Now you would want to do that every week to make sure to catch those who got infected in between due to travel etc. So you will be out of pocket for $3.2billion a week every week forever. Tough on China with a population almost 5 times as great and India! Good for shareholders in test kit manufacturers or vaccine producers!

So while lots of money can be used for testing and testing millions and millions of people, other health services will suffer and millions will die as the health budget has been diverted towards the non-pandemic virus. The UK has a population of 67 million. I am sure that Boris will be happy to fork out £670 million, knowing how close to his heart the UK NHS is and the people will surely happily forgo treatment for other ailments or at least get their treatment postponed indefinitely.

There is a practical side to it all.

@Aeneas, on this one I respectfully disagree.

Money is not lost, it's merely transferred from one pocket to another. They can make less missiles and more testing kits for example.

The countries are refusing to test because they don't want to find cases because the more cases you find, the more the panic increases. Italy today said it's only reporting more cases than other countries because it was testing everyone in the affected region. They will stop doing that and only test people with visible symptoms going forward. Expect the numbers from Italy to get less going forward as a result.

The big challenge with this specific outbreak is testing. The company that finds a way to produce effective mass produced testing kits that can then be shipped off to all addresses will make billions upon billions of dollars.

It is all just amazing how from the blue sky most media started spreading panic 24/7, some mainstream media on other hand said the panic was spread without real cause, etc....
Exactly....

Now the military sent calls to all above 18 who are not registered to be registered in service evidence, so it all seems lika a "coincidence".
If you are referring to invitation to enroll in military records in Croatia (_Poziv za upis u vojnu evidenciju u 2020. godini - MORH), this is pretty standard thing.
According to Internet records, this year was announced on 25.02.2020. , last year was on 7.3.2019, then was on 8.3.2018, etc......
Apparently they do that every year.... This year they are one week early, that´s the only difference comparing to last years.
But then again, in 2014, they send the same invitation on 30.1. so.... :-/

Yes, it is a regular thing, maybe it is a coincidence but what came to mind is why did the most online newspapers inform about that and did not inform about it in prior years. Not enough recruits and too many issues maybe?

The first part is true. It will go from the pockets of the taxpayers to the pharmaceutical industry. As for the second part that is not part of the world we inhabit. There will be not be any reduction in military spending and the health budget will remain the same, thus a reduction in other health services. As you live in the UK, you should be well aware that the health industry in the UK is severely lacking and that the military industry has no problem in getting funding. Even funding for regime change operations in Syria etc. This world is ruled by psychopaths and they care little for the well being of human beings.

Brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev has warned over the steepest decline in quarterly profit for at least a decade after coronavirus cost it around £132 million in lost profit.

The world’s biggest brewing giant, which is behind the Corona, Budweiser and Stella Artois brands, forecast first quarter earnings will tumble by about 10% after the virus outbreak saw demand slump in China as it also coincided with the Chinese New Year, sending its shares 8% lower.

"Last month Google said that searches for Corona lager had increased by 1,100 per cent with people looking for ‘beer virus’ and ‘corona beer virus’. There is no link between coronavirus and Corona" 🙄

FARS news agency reports that the former Iranian Ambassador to The Vatican has died from Covid-19.
Covid-19 Infects Iranian Vice President Masoumeh Ebtekar.

Iran's Vice Pres. Infected, Former Vatican Ambassador Dead (on Zero Hedge)

Ebtekar is the third senior official to be infected, alongside the Deputy Health Minister and Cleric Hadi Khosroshahi, who succumbed to the pneumonia due to his advanced age.

In a recent tweet from Ebtekar's twitter account, Ebtekar, an immunologist by training, criticized hysteria and panic being propagated by news reports.

With Iran's economy badly damaged by sanctions which have also contributed to shortages of essential supplies including medicine and medical products, it is uniquely vulnerable to the virus's devastation.

I'm wondering what makes Iran a hotspot for the virus?

Is it that due to the sanctions by the West the country had intensified its relation to China?
China is importing lots of crude oil from Iran. Probably at lot of technicians and business people from China there...

Bernhard from Moon of Alabama has an article out today about the virus. He mentions that he thinks it will be named a pandemic, the problems with slack government response times, the test kit problems and speed, the survival chances according to age if one gets the virus, that it will be more deadly than the normal flu but mainly with older people with health problems and lastly that Bernie Sanders, if he survives the virus, will have a better chance to beat Trump due to his bad response so far. That is of course just Bernhard's view.

Here are a few snippets from the article

China has shown that it is possible to successfully fight and stop the epidemic. Unfortunately other countries are not ready to follow its example.
This is now making it likely that the epidemic in China will become a pandemic and will spread mostly uninhibited all over the globe.

The quarantine of a whole cruise ship in Japan and the incompetent bureaucratic response to it made a further spread in that country inevitable:

On Saturday, the health minister admitted that 23 passengers had been released from the ship without taking a valid recent test and had traveled by public transit after disembarking this past week.
Now that the quarantine has ended and most of the passengers have left, the concern is that they could start spreading the virus on shore.
Japan now has 200 cases and its government has decided to close all schools throughout March.

Chinese scientists had published the genome sequence of the virus on January 12 and, based on it, developed test kits within a few days. The U.S. Center of Disease Control and Prevention also developed a test kit but had problems with its first version and its wider distribution. More than a month later it is still not ready for the foreseeable need:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention isn’t yet ready to detect whether the coronavirus is spreading across the country.
Just 12 of more than 100 public health labs in the U.S. are currently able to diagnose the coronavirus because of problems with a test developed by the CDC [...]
...
Under current rules, each positive test must be confirmed by a second round of testing at the CDC. [Director Robert Redfield] told lawmakers that the agency can now screen 350-500 samples per day.
...
“I understand very much the FDA is focused on quality control, but there’s also a need to have a system that can respond to their needs,” [Marc Lipsitch, an epidemiology professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health,] said. “China tested 320,000 people in Guangdong over a three-week period. This is the scale we need to be thinking on.”
Testing is hard to do and takes time. If China with its super efficient and authoritarian approach can only do 320,000 in 3 weeks, then testing a city like London just once would take years and be immensely taxing on resources, human, material and logistical. Forget about follow up tests en masse.

To assess the wider global impact of the pandemic this table is most helpful:

corona17-s.jpg

*Death Rate = (number of deaths / number of cases) = probability of dying if infected by the virus (%). This probability differs depending on the age group. The percentage shown does NOT represent in any way the share of deaths by age group. Rather, it represents, for a person in a given age group, the risk of dying if infected with COVID-19.
In an unrestricted pandemic the virus will infect between 40 to 70 percent of the population. The virus is more deadly than a normal flu but mostly for elderly people with severe preconditions. Children and grown ups in their most productive years can carry the virus without showing symptoms and will only rarely become critical cases. This guarantees that our societies will continue to function. The pandemic will have severe, but not catastrophic, economic consequences as quarantines and fear will limit production and trade on all levels.

Trump's reelection chances are sinking as Covid-19 cases rise. The incompetence of his administration will come under new light. The stock markets will continue to tumble and erase the economic gains Trump had claimed. Bernie Sanders' chances to win, if he survives the pandemic, will increase as his prime campaign promise

While the US is gloating at the demise of senior Iranian officials due to the virus, then they might change the tune or loose it altogether if the virus gets to the halls of congress as the death rate is worse in the age group to which many members of Congress and the Senate belongs. The neo-cons are no exception.

The answer is more simple: the authorities didn't take any special actions once the virus presented it. In Iran, there are no lockdowns or the such. The virus is free to move and spread without much interference.

In all honesty, I know Iran is one of those nations that's fighting the evil empire but there authorities here have miscalculated and now this is the result. You can't negotiate with a virus like you can negotiate with some American politician.

It has not occurred to me before but it would make perfect sense if the puppet masters decided to use a series of epidemics, no matter how weak or strong, to impose a cashless environment on the society as a 'necessary' preventive measure 'good for everyone':

China's central bank in Guangzhou announced it will destroy cash collected by hospitals, buses, and markets in coronavirus-afflicted areas to curb the outbreak's contagion, financial news outlet Caixin reported Saturday.

The People's Bank of China ordered all paper currency with high exposure to the outbreak withdraw cash for either destruction or disinfection, according to Caixin. Commercial banks were told to place banknotes from infected areas aside, clean them, and hand them to the central bank.

Here's a snippet from the MoonofA article mentioned earlier:

In Iran the epidemic came from China with people who went to Qom for religious training. The spiritual center of Iran has many religious schools and universities and many pilgrim visit the shrines in the city. They contributed to the further spread of the virus. Iran now has a total of 254 confirmed cases including two lawmakers, a vice president and a deputy minister. (..)

Yesterday Iran still rejected to close its shrines and to prohibited religious services. Today it canceled tomorrows Friday prayers.

I did a quick search for Shiites in China and found Tajik and Kirgiz muslims in the Tian Shan valleys, in case anybody's wondering why Chinese people would go to Qom for religious training.

Just posting this, I have not read the thread.

Someone shared a link on Instagram with me that Israel has been working on a vaccine, for Coronavirus, for the past 4 years and has one ready for the public.

I don't know how to bring the link here.

This is a very good one. Listen to this man speak.

In typical fashion, the US is now guilty of what it accused China of. This will become self evident soon!

Quite! No other country was gonna do what China did, so why bother? I come back to my earlier idea that - once they saw this wasn't such a dangerous outbreak - the Chinese authorities nevertheless continued running with their high level of emergency preparedness largely 'as an exercise for future use'.

New data out of China indicates 14% of people who get cured end up testing positive again

Yes, because it turns out that being 'tested positive' means... 'having Coronavirus-like symptoms', i.e. the FLU!

They're just guessing numbers based on SYMPTOMS!

Check out this article:

"The epicentre of the so-called new virus outbreak is currently diagnosing new cases of the disease without testing for the virus..."

What a farce!
