Do some French people see what's going on? Yellow Vest Protests

Yesterday's protests in brief

– Mobilization was down sharply for this fifth Saturday of action, with some 66,000 demonstrators at 18:00 against 126,000 recorded at the same time last Saturday, according to figures provided by the Ministry of Interior.

The police forces arrested 157 people, and placed more than a hundred in custody on Saturday in Paris, the police prefecture said.

– The police system in the capital was "quite similar" to that of 7 December, with 8,000 police forces deployed in Paris, supported by 14 wheeled armoured vehicles. Across France, 69,000 law enforcement personnel were mobilized.

– The initiators of the movement are now calling for a referendum on four proposals, including the introduction of a citizens' initiative referendum and the lowering of taxes on essential products.

– 4,500 demonstrators and 27 people in custody in Bordeaux

"The roundabouts must be freed," Castaner says. [nope, it's not the roundabounts that must be freed, but the whole country… freed from scum like you]
Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said on Saturday at the end of the fifth day of mobilisation of the clearly declining "yellow vests" that France's "roundabouts", occupied since 17 November, must now be "freed". "Roundabouts must be freed and the safety of all must become the rule again," the minister tweeted.

A mobilization that does not falter in Montpellier
Some 850 (acc. to the police) to 1,500 "yellow vests" (acc. to the organizers) demonstrated Saturday in Montpellier, a participation that does not weaken compared to previous Saturdays, said a journalist from AFP.

2,000 people on the streets, 12 arrests in Marseille
2,000 people, according to the police prefecture, demonstrated on Saturday in Marseille, most of them "yellow vests" but also from the CGT (trade union), the collective against substandard housing and high school students, with the police carrying out 12 arrests, according to a police source.

1,200 demonstrators in Nantes, 5 arrests and an injured police officer

About 1,200 people marched in a certain amount of tension in Nantes, according to the police, who carried out five arrests and used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators. A policeman was wounded.

17h30. Shots fired in front of an LREM deputy's home

Eure LREM deputy Bruno Questel reported shots fired with hunting rifles outside his home on Friday evening and an "attempt by 40 Yellow vests to intimidate". Questel expressed his "determination" not to "give up".

Clashes in Bordeaux

Bottle throwings, firecrackers, tear gas and water cannon: clashes between police forces and demonstrators in central Bordeaux on Saturday afternoon.

17h. Tensions erupt on the Champs-Elysées

Police fired a water cannon in the late afternoon to disperse the demonstrators still gathered on Avenue des Champs-Elysées, and in addition to using a water launcher, the police used tear gas grenades to disperse the demonstrators.

16h30. Between 1,600 and 2,000 demonstrators in Brest

Between 1,600 "yellow vests", according to the police, and 2000 YV, according to the organizers, marched in a friendly atmosphere on Saturday afternoon in the streets of Brest, noted an AFP correspondent.

It was in Toulouse that the largest demonstration took place (with many excesses)

The Yellow Vests demonstrations" have decreased in the provinces where there has been much less mobilization for this 5th consecutive Saturday of demonstrations.

4,500 demonstrators were counted in Toulouse, a thousand fewer than the previous week, and clashes took place: this is the largest gathering recorded this Saturday. 30 people were arrested. Seven others were injured, including a journalist from La Dépêche du Midi and three members of the security forces.

In Lyon, a yellow vest demonstration gathered a few hundred people outside the courthouse, with protesters shouting "Macron démission". A figure similar to that of last Saturday.

Charles Gave: an approach that some may find a little down-to-earth but which does not lack common sense to describe how international capitalism has generated a new hyperclass, which does not feel more like France than Singapore since it lives in a world without borders, with only one nationality: money. In this way, it succeeds the nobility of yesteryear. A class that cares to some extent about its immediate servants, while conceiving of a deep contempt for everything that is not it and that represents at least 50% of the population.

A population that, in my opinion, would not feel any worse if it were totally neglected on kinds of Indian reserves, it would prevent it from being exploitable, taxable, poisonable without limit.

About Christophe Cros Houplon, the least we can say is that he thinks we're true morons. He’s a kind of multi-function blender who is afraid of nothing. If his predictions are up to his analyses, I believe that Mrs Irma still has a bright future ahead of her.

Faced with a narcissistic pervert, the norm in general is to feel totally denied. Considering what's left when we've finished watching one of his videos, I'd say that this gentleman is an expert in the discipline.

Indeed. Thank you for discussing on that : it permit me to understand and to enlight some things i didn't see.

Illuminating to watch the difference in MSM coverage of #France & #Syria protests. Western media rushed to film 100 Syrians protesting, completely avoiding the massive pro-govt rallies & white-washing the sectarians. In France, it's radio silence, except to highlight the racists.

Those that are capapble to do the "arthmetic" on this will realize how TPTB "manage information" which then "manages perception". The mind is always the primary target. It is easy to say this but not many people are able to internalize this.

Mr. Gave is not easily accessible to the English speaking world. But I found this that some may find interesting,

the central contradiction of capitalism

OK, the standard answer for why they are there is "Anti-terrorist Unit". Maybe

This one is even better. A "poor" French citizen is upset about all the noise outside her humble home.

Yes indeed. The head of the AfD in Germany said something similar a while back - that he suddenly realized why it is that the elite is pushing so hard for multiculturalism and against any sense of local/national identity: it's because these people really do live in a "multicultural world", moving from country to country, living in apartments and hotels that look the same everywhere, meeting "diverse" people from all over the world who all think alike and live the same way... And then they push a very different kind of multiculturalism on the population, with backwards archaic cultures forming parallel societies within Western nations, the destruction of cultural identity and meaningful traditions etc.

I'm not sure you can blame it all on "capitalism" though. As you said, it's kind of a new nobility, one unsurpassed in its arrogance and nihilism. The old nobility, or at least large parts of it, was still bound by strong traditions, religion, a strong sense of responsibility and so on. The problem runs deeper than mere capitalism; it's also about nihilism, atheism and so on.

In a sense, while there always was some kind of hierarchy in place, we now have a toxic mixture at the top of society of cultural marxism, fascist corporatism, socialist atheism and nihilism and the worst aspects of capitalist ideology. In other words, the current elite is as arrogant as the old nobility, as cruel and godless as the old communists and fascists, and as consumerist and cynical as the worst nouveau-riche capitalist exploiters. Quite the brew that has been mixed there over the last decades.

Great summation. STS infused through and through. To me it seems this toxic mixture combined with a lack of sufficient knowledge by the general population makes it untenable to try and stop or otherwise do too much about it. We simply must watch and learn and prepare our own way forward. Powerful and massive forces are at play and coming to a head. We must be ready to act in the aftermath, me thinks.

Well summed up, a new nobility. They will never admit it but that is what it is.

Another aspect of the "old nobility" that was more stable for a nation was the fact that it was strongly connected to the land on which it lived. The hyper-class sends its kids to study in Switzerland, vacations in Kenya and spend 4 months of the year in Paris. If you ask them they will tell you they are French but mentally they are Globalists.

I suspect that the Vipers at the top of the Pyramid are having sleepless nights because theirs is not a friendly Country Club. The witches brew they have cooked up in the World Economy over the decades will result in many of them being ejected out of that exclusive club. They have no guarantees as to who will survive and who will be sacrificed. When invitations to soirees suddenly stop coming they will need to deal with Reality. There will be losers and big losers at that.

Brilliantly put. Kind of like the ultimate evil.

Kind of like the ultimate evil.

In what spiritual or energetic perspective can we consider this domination of ultimate evil?

If we assume, perhaps naively, that it may not have been so at all times, it is because at some point in our history there has been a defeat of the good, or a disruption of balance. Which determining agent could have caused this changeover?

If we start from the rather pessimistic principle that it has always been so, we have to ask ourselves: why be there?
