The other question is : are they STS because they are sick, or are they sick because they are STS ? Are they born like that ?
Amazing. Here I was thinking this was cooling off and I'm wrong AGAIN.The scene lasted less than a minute but was extremely violent. Three motorcyclists probably positioned at the beginning of George-V Avenue, at the corner of the Champs-Elysées, were attacked this Saturday by a large number ofyellow veststhugs from the banlieues / black blocs / agents provocateurs (notice that many of them wore hoods) who wanted to fight with the police. A video relayed on social networks shows the scene, taking place when the Yellow Vests went down the Champs-Elysées at around 5:30 pm.
On Friday, the French Senate backed a draft law on emergency economic and social measures declared by authorities in response to the Yellow Vest protests. The proposed measures include annual bonuses for employees and exemptions from increased social security tax for pensioners who earn less than 2,000 euros (over $2,200) per month.
The media have constantly broadcast the video of three police motorcyclists fleeing to avoid a lynching, one of them even drawing his weapon.
In the official version, they were reportedly violently attacked by dozens of yellow vests and/or breakers. On the continuous news channels such as TF1 and france2, these images made the headlines, with no other explanation than the angry madness of the demonstrators. However, what these media are willing to keep quiet about is how all this started, I'm happy to say because they only broadcast the end of the video, but to understand it properly, it's important to read it in its entirety.
The video taken a few seconds earlier (below) reveals a completely different truth. Indeed, before the crowd furiously threw themselves at these policemen, we see them throwing two "de-embarking" grenades at the feet of the demonstrators, then totally pacifist, their reaction of anger becoming, even unacceptable, then understandable.
These three motorcyclists have provoked the yellow vests, there is no doubt about it; what is in question now is who they are taking orders from, because it is hard to believe in personal initiative.
When questioned in the TF1 13H newspaper this Sunday, a police officer who was not on site justified that the grenades were thrown because "projectiles were starting to fly, which you don't see in the images".
In my opinion, cornered behind what obviously looks like a gratuitous act and in the face of the popularity of full video on social networks, the police, rather than confess to the attempt to rot, preferred to get bogged down in lies on the pretext of imaginary projectiles.
And so it was that on TF1 (and sisters), the misinformation of an early afternoon replaced the misinformation of an evening.
The three motorcyclists provoked the yellow vests, there is no doubt about it; what is in question now is who they get the orders from, because it is hard to believe in a personal initiative.
About 23,800 people were demonstrating at 1300 GMT, including fewer than 1,000 in Paris, the interior ministry said. This was down from a week ago at the same time when there were 33,500 protesters out on the streets, 2,200 of which were in Paris.
On the eve of the Christmas holidays, you will not have missed this video of our fellow motorcyclists from the 75 Intervention and Security Company who are being attacked by a horde of angry and bloodthirsty individuals.
These images have toured the media and the web, with sometimes - too often - hateful comments probably related to ignorance for some and stupidity for others.
The MPC association wants to be, by these few lines and this video, a teacher and will try to explain to you in simple words what happened.
First, no action by our colleagues can minimize and justify the violence they have courageously faced. We cannot justify the unjustifiable.
Secondly, please be aware that any lethal or intermediate force weapons used by law enforcement agencies are used in the strict application of self-defence and in a defined employment procedure.
Thirdly, we would like to give our full support to our fellow motorcyclists, so that they know that our door is open to them when they need it, that we feel a shameless admiration and deep respect for their undeniable composure and professionalism.
Fourthly, we are offended that, in the face of a scene of rare violence, our administration had no other immediate response than to refer the matter to the General Inspectorate of the National Police so that the latter could open an investigation against our colleagues.
This is, once again, a poor way to show support and gratitude to its field staff. Employees who, let us not forget, have just gone through very trying weeks, not to mention their hours and with unfailing dedication to this same administration.
The day we are well aware of the psycho-social risks facing our profession, this action, beyond clumsiness, is almost insulting and guilt-ridden for our colleagues.
It is all too sad to remind you that we are the trade most affected by suicide.
We therefore invite you all to be clear-sighted, to step back, to evaluate the context in which our colleagues were operating last Saturday, and above all to see the human being hiding under the uniform. The one made of flesh and blood, the one who was almost wounded or dead, the one who was afraid not to go home that night to kiss his wife and kids, the one who had a quarter of a second to think when his gun came out.
This is an important point, and precisely not focusing on a plan can allow us to see what "our" gourvernants would like to see happen.(...) we can edit the film as much as we want, it will not change the situation because even if everyone (demonstrators and police officers) is dissatisfied with the authorities - which remains to be proven in the acts as far as the police or army are concerned - some are there to change the established order, and the others to maintain and defend it
(...)
If there are really angry humans under the uniforms, they are the ones who need to know who and what they are angry at.
to be green with rage/ être vert de rage:
DeepL.A familiar expression that refers to the origins of medicine and the fact that anger was associated with the gallbladder. From the Latin cholera, anger meant excess bile. The bile being greenish in colour, this gave rise to the expression being green with anger and then green with rage.
To be a blue flower/être fleur bleue:
It is necessary to go back to 1811 and to a work by the young German writer Novalis, who was in fact Baron Friedrich von Hardenberg, to find the origin of this expression.
In his unfinished novel "Henri d'Ofterdingen" (Novalis died at the age of 29), he evokes in his own way the legend of a medieval troubadour who, in search of an ideal, discovered the blue flower, symbol of poetry.
The Germans also speak of "die blaue Blume der Romantik" or "the blue flower of romanticism".
While crossing the Rhine, the blue flower has changed its meaning a little, since poetry has been associated with a mixed sentimentality of naivety.
