Earthquakes around the world

Ditrianum is predicting an uptick in earthquake activity, possibly up to a magnitude 8. The video is 3 minutes long and he shows the planetary, solar and luna alignments. The blurb from the video:

Earth lines up with the Sun and Saturn during New Moon on the 20th. At the same time Venus-Mars and also Mercury-Neptune line up with the Sun as well. As a result large seismic activity may occur from the 20th to the 23rd, possibly reaching mid to high 7 maybe even 8 magnitude.

James Mccanney says that, generally, it's often the 3 days after the new moon where the moon usually exerts most of it's influence.

He doesn't mention it but comet NEOWISE may also be exerting some effect.

It's also worth bearing in mind, as Pierre has mentioned, although forgive me if my explanation isn't as clear, but when we're talking 'planetary alignments', the time frame can be rather wide - considering the scale of the objects involved, our measurement abilities, our understanding of their effects - so we're not able to pin effects down to exact days or times, as such. That said, i think the video below at least shows clearly with the software he's using the kinds of alignments he's talking about, plus we can keep our eyes out for any activity, and see how this guy's prediction fare!

The usual area considered in this weekly reporting saw 4 out of 80 earthquakes equal or greater to 4.5 and 2694 of 2985 quakes of all sizes.
Percentage: 90.3%
Last week saw one M7, it being the 7.0 in PNG.
Otherwise in terms of medium to big earthquakes, our usual map area only registered 1 out of 85 worldwide of earthquakes equal or greater to 4.5. There were 2294 of 2587 earthquakes of all sizes worldwide in the map area.
Percentage: 88.7%

His window for this was between the 20th and the 23rd and the M7.8 falls right in there. Pretty good prediction.

Seems like a hit to me.

And now, another:

M 7.8 - 98 km SSE of Perryville, Alaska
I didn't feel it here in the Anch. area, but it is about 500 miles away where it was centered.

There was a 3.4 near Big Lake, which is near by a short time later, but it wasn't related, according to seismologists.

I didn't get a warning on my phone either, which has been the case in previous 7+ quakes.

A while back, we had a odd quake. It was like a big thump. No shaking or rumbling, just a giant thud! I knew it was too big to be explained as a truck or something similar. Turns out it was a quake in the 4 range.

7.8 is pretty strong. There is a tsunami alert on the coasts close to the area.
The tsunami happened but it was rather small:

There were no immediate reports of damage in the Alaska Peninsula and the tsunami warning was canceled after the magnitude 7.8 quake offshore created a wave of a less than a foot (30 centimeters).
