NEW YORK, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted southeast of Easter Island at 22:37:42 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 41.0967 degrees south latitude and 90.6314 degrees west longitude.

6.1-magnitude quake hits Balleny Islands region -- USGS

BEIJING, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Balleny Islands region in the Antarctic Ocean at 2256 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 61.9292 degrees south latitude and 154.8222 degrees east longitude.

The Balleny Islands are a series of uninhabited islands heavily glaciated and of volcanic origin.

When I look at USGS, then these two earthquakes were only 25 seconds apart. Then one in Russia at 2020-11-30 22:54:34 (UTC) and then one in Argentina at 22:54:59, according to USGS. One of the above time stamps in @itellsya's post has UTC +1, which might be the reason for the confusion.
