Yellowstone - Sawmill Geyser Wakes Up After 5 Years on June 24th, July 21 Eruption

Mary Greeley News

I notice the discolored steam at the beginning. Meaning pockets of rock are melting. I though it was very unusual for such a long eruption to happen. I bet it went longer but they moved the camera. I kept waiting for a hydrothermal eruption. I don't think those there close to it realize the significance if its eruption. Sawmill needs to refill each time for a eruption but it kept going and going and going. Something has change there. I suspect a fault opened up from the river draining deep and then heated by the magma then coming up at this geyser. This is the same area they closed a few years ago to tourist because of the increase activity. This too is at the base of the Mallard Lake resurgent dome. am surprised they haven't closed that area again. But they want to keep up the appearance that everything is normal there when it is not.
