WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT JUNE 06_2024

Four M6+ earthquakes occurred between May 24 and June 2.

● M 6.3 - Port-Vila, Vanuatu on May 25.
● M 6.6 - Fangale'ounga, Tonga on May 26th.
● M 5.9 - Sinabang, Indonesia on May 28th.
● M 6.2 - Prince Edward Islands region on May 31
● M 6.2 - Kermadec Islands region on May 31

The earthquakes occurred when Mercury and Venus were present in one of the planetary geometries. The occurrence of significant events when these planets are present has been discussed before, however, further research is required.

2024-05-24-overview.png

SSGEOS group published a new earthquake forecast for the period June 2-11
Earth will be in two conjunctions involving Mercury and Venus on 4 June, which can result in major seismic activity, most likely 6-8 June, near or following the New Moon on 6 June. SSGEOS

So far there has not been a significant event higher than magnitude M6+, however several M5+ earthquakes have been recorded in previous days, these events are known as clusters, which indicates a possible significant earthquake that according to SSGEOS analysis has a 70% probability of an M6+ event in the coming days and in the worst case a M8.5+ earthquake with a probability of 50%.

Two moderated earthquakes were reported in Los Angeles, California.
Two moderate tremors hit Los Angeles some 12 min apart and were widely felt. A M 3.6 hit near Newport Mesa Unified School at 23:52 UTC. A M 3.5 hit at Somerset Ln at 00:04 UTC. Los Angeles lies at the San Andreas Fault. Strongest earthquake in recent history was a M 6.7 in 1994. SSGEOS

Finally, a seismic cluster occurred in the South Sandwich Islands region. Which makes us wonder if it is in this region where the next event will occur including the south-central region of Chile and even the region where the South Atlantic anomaly has been recorded.

WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT JUNE 07_2024

In the past 24 hours we have had moderate levels of seismic activity which indicates that M6.5 was not exceeded in any region.

The highest magnitude earthquake of the period occurred southwest of Abepura in Indonesia with a magnitude of 5.6.

The M5.6 was recorded by USGS, however, Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency of Indonesia (BMKG) recorded that it was a more powerful earthquake of magnitude 5.8 with a estimated release energy equivalent to 7556 tons of TNT. If BMKG is correct we could see another similar or low M6+ earthquake in the region (towards Tonga, the Philippines or the volcano region of Japan).

A seismic cluster of M5+ was reported yesterday in the South Sandwich Islands.
Finally, a seismic cluster occurred in the South Sandwich Islands region. Which makes us wonder if it is in this region where the next event will occur including the south-central region of Chile and even the region where the South Atlantic anomaly has been recorded.
● M5.3 South Sandwich Islands region at 22:53 UTC
● M5.5 South Sandwich Islands region at 22:58 UTC
● M4.9 South Sandwich Islands region at 23:37 UTC
● M5.0 South Sandwich Islands region on June 07 at 04:32 UTC

As expected the energy of this cluster moved into the South Atlantic Anomaly zone. Three earthquakes occurred within the period of this report:

●M5.3 - southern Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 16:57:14 UTC (USGS earthquake alert)
●M5.4 - southern Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 17:03:31 UTC (USGS earthquake alert)
●M4.7 - south of Africa at 23:05:20 UTC (USGS earthquake alert)

The following map relates the last earthquakes with the place where the South Atlantic Anomaly appeared, which was confirmed by the Cs as an outgassing phenomenon.

WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT JUNE 08_2024

Low levels of seismic activity have been recorded over the past 24 months which means that no M5+ earthquakes have been recorded and this is significant because there have been three lunar geometries since June 4, the last Earth, Moon, Sun on June 6. The question is whether this absence of strong earthquakes or seismic silence is the prelude to a significant M6+ or higher event.

2024-06-02-overview.png
On June 9 we will have a planetary geometry involving Mercury, a possible trigger for a significant seismic event.

SSGEOS published the latest detected atmospheric fluctuation where two potential areas can be observed, namely Alaska and the region from the Kermadec Islands to Tonga, Fiji or Vanuatu.
20240608_171824.jpg

According to Volcanodiscovery in the past 24 hours, there were 990 quakes of magnitudes up to 4.8:

● 39 quakes above magnitude 4
● 80 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4
● 222 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3
● 649 quakes below magnitude 2 that people normally don't feel.

One of the 39 M4+ earthquakes recorded occurred in northern Chile, very close to the Peruvian border, which indicates that the energy of M5+ earthquakes in the South Sandwich Islands moves northward and across plate boundaries.

WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT JUNE 09_2024

Moderate levels of seismic activity were recorded in the past 24 hours. As expected, the seismic silence for earthquakes greater than M5+ was the prelude to a major event. An M6.2 earthquake shook the Pacific-Antarctic ridge. The earthquake had a precursor of M5.3 at 09:48 UTC, i.e., 7 minutes before the M6.2 and several aftershocks have followed, with an M5.1 earthquake being the largest. These earthquakes occurred in the southern Pacific in the middle of nowhere so no special alert was issued.

In the last 24 hours there were 908 earthquakes. As can be seen in the SSGI graph from June 02 to 08 there was no M6+ event despite the occurrence of planetary and lunar geometries (with the presence of Venus, Mercury or the Moon) My hypothesis based on solar observations is that in that same period the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) did not exceed 10nT and it was not until June 08 that it reached 11.23nT at 05:46 according to SpaceWeatherlive data and this, together with the seismic silence, established the conditions for the strong M6.2 earthquake.
Volcanodiscovery data:
  • 1 quake above magnitude 6
  • 5 quakes between magnitude 5 and 6
  • 37 quakes between magnitude 4 and 5
  • 106 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4
  • 224 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3

Unusual Earthquake in South Korea causes minor damage but no injuries.

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake in southwestern South Korea cracks walls and leaves other minor damage

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake cracked walls, spilled items from store shelves and and caused other minor damage in a fishing community in southwestern South Korea on Wednesday, but no injuries have been reported.

The earthquake in Buan, which had an estimated depth of 8 kilometers (5 miles), was the strongest detected in South Korea this year.

The National Fire Agency said it so far confirmed eight minor cases of property damage in Buan and the nearby city of Iksan, including cracked walls at homes and a warehouse, at least two broken wall tiles and at least one broken window. It was also strong enough to knock items off store shelves.

Jo Yoo-jin, an official at the North Joella province fire department, said officials received nearly 80 calls from area residents who felt the shaking. More than 200 other similar calls were placed by residents in other regions, including 38 in the central North Chungcheong provide and seven in the country’s capital, Seoul, according to the National Fire Agency.

chrome_screenshot_12 jun. 2024 10_09_59 p. m. CST.png

There are not usually strong earthquakes in South Korea, according to Volcanodiscovery the earthquakes in this area are mostly of magnitude less than 4.
11 years ago there was an earthquake of the same magnitude in the same region.

The last time I reported an earthquake in South Korea was on December 14, 2021 with M4.9 but this one happened south of the peninsula.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said in an emergency alert that the earthquake was observed 32 kilometers southwest of Seogwipo, Jeju Island, at 5:19 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities said Jeju Island residents could have experienced huge tremors due to the earthquake and they were in the process of verifying if any damage occurred. They advised people in the area to take cover and protect themselves from aftershocks.

South Korea lies on the Eurasian Plate which collides with the Philippine Plate and the Pacific Plate and this mainly affects Japan.

WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT JUNE 14_2024

Moderate levels of seismic activity occurred in the past 24 hours. Significant events were concentrated in southern Mid-Atlantic ridge. An M5.9 earthquake followed by three aftershocks of M5.3, M5.4, and M5.9 followed. This seismic activity is occurring within the area of the South Atlantic Anomaly as can be seen in the map below.

In the past 24 hours, there were 793 quakes of magnitudes up to 5.9:
  • 4 quakes above magnitude 5
  • 27 quakes between magnitude 4 and 5
  • 95 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4
  • 217 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3
  • 450 quakes below magnitude 2 that people normally don't feel.
Remember, stronger earthquakes tend to occur in clusters. Let's wait and see what happens in the next hours.

This earthquake belongs to the cluster that has occurred at the Pacific and Indo-Australian plate boundaries. (See previous reports) Energy is moving along these boundaries and it is common for a larger event to occur although it is not certain where it will occur. It is like Russian roulette
