Earthquakes around the world

Earth Moon, Saturn lunar geometry will occur on July 24 at 19:45 UTC. In the last 2 days the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) registered great strength. On July 22 the Bt index was 10nT and on July 23 it was 16 nT, the latter was due to the impact of a CME detected around 20:00 UTC.

Seismic silence.

We have gone more than 17 hours without an M5+ earthquake, the last one happened on July 24 at 12:42 UTC in the Banda Sea.

This is the second strong this week. According to what we were told, it is due to oil extraction.

Low levels of seismic activity occurred in the past 24 hours

M 4.9 - 17 km NE of Hermleigh, Texas/ 03:38:42 (UTC)/7.7 km depth/ USGS
Three earthquakes that struck west Texas on Monday – including a magnitude 4.9 temblor – are all linked to local oil production.

It seems that the experts are not right and something else is going on in Texas. Remember the thermal explosion in Yellowstone?
Yellowstone Hydrothermal explosion.

The July 23, 2024, hydrothermal explosion at Biscuit Basin resulted from water suddenly transitioning to steam in the shallow hydrothermal system beneath Black Diamond Pool and was not caused by volcanic activity. Seismicity, ground deformation, and gas and thermal emissions remain at their normal background levels, and there were no detectable precursors to this event.
Update on the July 23 Biscuit Basin hydrothermal explosion

Last July 24, Analyst Jesús Ramos published a video with an analysis of what happened in Yellowstone. He said:
Yes, the scientists are right, the explosion did not have a volcanic origin... but indirectly it does have a volcanic origin, because the magma heats that water and there is a filtration of water that bursts on contact.

According to the Analyst the energy from the M6.0 quake in Alaska last July 19 is moving inland (Intercontinental territory) and the Yellowstone event is part of it
● M 6.0 - 168 km SW of Nikolski, Alaska/ 03:13:47 (UTC)/41.5 km depth/ USGS

So, if so we would see an M5+ quake in Texas. Which is what is happening and a worse case M6+ in California (Fresno, Sacramento) or Oregon. The hydrothermal explosion is an indication that seismic energy is within the continental territory.

So, the volcano won't erupt, but what assures us that there won't be a bigger thermal explosion?

Mega-earthquake is poised to rock five states in America's heartland in next 50 years

A mega earthquake could rock America's heartland - home to at least 11 million Americans - in the next 50 years.

Scientists say a little-known 150-mile-long stretch through Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky and Illinois, has the conditions to generate a 6.0-plus magnitude quake.

The most significant destruction is predicted to occur in St Louis, Missouri, and Memphis.

But Robbie Myers, an emergency coordinator with the Missouri Department of Safety, said thousands of people could die, bridges crossing the Mississippi River could fall, major highways including Interstate 55 could buckle while oil and gas pipelines could break, causing nationwide disruptions.

Historical records have shown that from December 1811 to February 1812, the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ) triggered three major events believed to reach a 7 magnitude or more, as well as ruptures in 15th and 10th centuries.

'[An earthquake] in the next 50 years is a strong possibility, and people should take precautions,' said Myers.

In the past 24 hours, there were 822 quakes of magnitudes up to 5.3:

●3 quakes above magnitude 5
●34 quakes between magnitude 4 and 5
●98 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4

No alert was issued for this earthquake. There are no reports of damage. No aftershocks have been recorded. The closest larger town where the quake might have been felt is Suva, the capital of Fiji with 77,000 inhabitants, in 69 km distance northwest of the epicenter.

In the past 24 hours, there were 908 quakes of magnitudes up to 6.9:

●2 quakes above magnitude 6
●5 quakes between magnitude 5 and 6
●33 quakes between magnitude 4 and 5
●110 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4
●213 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3
●545 quakes below magnitude 2 that people normally don't feel.

● Earthquake forecast updated 28 July 2024, 13:43 UTC
A convergence of planetary and lunar geometry on 29-30 July can result in a cluster of strong seismic activity, possibly reaching mid to high 6, maybe 7 magnitude. A second convergence on 2-3 August will likely result in a strong seismic response, potentially reaching mid 7 magnitude within 5 days of that geometry. SSGEOS
In the past forecast, five earthquakes occurred above the magnitude 6

Earthquake shakes southern Italy, no initial reports of damage

An earthquake of around magnitude 5.0 shook southern Italy on Thursday, monitoring agencies reported, and was felt in a wide area but there were no initial reports of serious damage.

In a post on X, the Italian fire brigade said it had not so far received any reports of damage or requests for help. The country's civil protection agency provided the same reassuring message.

The epicentre of the quake was close to the town of Cosenza in the region of Calabria and occurred at 9:43 p.m. (1943 GMT), Italy's National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology (INGV) said, giving a magnitude of 5.0.

A very strong magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in the Philippine Sea near the coast of Caraga, Philippines. A Tsunami Warning was issued when the quake struck but it was deactivated later without consequences. USGS issued a Green alert for shaking-related fatalities and economic losses related to the earthquake. For this strong earthquake, 18 aftershocks have been detected so far. The strongest was a magnitude 5.3 quake that hit 8 minutes after the mainshock. A M7.3 earthquake occurred in the same area on december 02, 2023.

Earthquake in Barcelona Philippines

An earthquake of this magnitude was expected given the conditions of planetary geometry and the impact of the IMF.
In the last three days the interplanetary magnetic field strength (IMF) has registered values above 10nT, it is possible that we will see something above M6+ in the next few days, possibly coinciding with the mentioned planetary geometry. SSGEOS detected other atmospheric anomalies

As mentioned in previous occasions, the presence of Venus and Mercury in a planetary geometry has a great influence on the occurrence of earthquakes of M6+ and higher. Other factor is the strength of the interplanetary magnetic field.

2024-07-28-overview.png

The next critical planetary geometry composed of Mercury, Venus and Uranus will occur on August 4. Let's wait to see what conditions prevail in the IMF in previous days (For now in IMF it has remained below 10nT).

It is also possible that we will see responses with M5+ and in the worst case M6+ earthquakes in the regions adjacent to the Philippines (Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Fiji, Kermadec Islands). In fact, the sequence or cluster that ended with the M6.8 earthquake started in Tonga with an M5.0 earthquake (see map)

In the past 24 hours, there were 979 quakes of magnitudes up to 6.8:

●1 quake above magnitude 6
●5 quakes between magnitude 5 and 6
●26 quakes between magnitude 4 and 5
●86 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4
●224 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3
●637 quakes below magnitude 2 that people normally don't feel.

Today the seismic alarms were activated in Mexico City and no earthquake occurred or perhaps it happened in an alternate reality. 😂 Who knows...

Following the M6.8 earthquake in Philippines, several aftershocks of M4+ and M5+ have been recorded. So far, the largest aftershock had a magnitude of 6.3.
