But Elon Musk is not an engineer, not a scientist, and there is absolutely NO evidence that Musk has ever actually achieved anything in technology, not even the fictional kind.
He makes some valid points (which have been raised here before), in particular that Musk is not a traditional CEO for any of his companies, that he spends way too much time posting on X and that among his "claimed achievements" is that he is a very good gamer (which also takes up time).A multiple parts exposé of Elon Musk by Larry Romanoff.

I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore.

This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.
Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.
I agree. Musk had already reacted irrationally last December on the issue of H-B1 visas (from which his companies benefit greatly). Trump had remained largely silent at the time, as their “bromance” was still fresh. If Trump mentioned cutting subsidies for electric vehicles, subsidies that still contribute significantly to Tesla's financial success, I can easily imagine Musk completely losing it, leading to these recent tweets.I haven‘t yet looked closely into the new situation between Trump and Musk, but from what I have seen my first hunch is that Musk might be the more unreasonable party in the situation.
It does not seem to be about that. Musk wanted to cut government expenses while Trump just massively expanded the expenses, basically breaking one of his election promises. If Trump mentioned cutting subsidies for electric vehicles, subsidies that still contribute significantly to Tesla's financial success, I can easily imagine Musk completely losing it, leading to these recent tweets.
I don't think Musk cares much about government spending. He sold his DOGE (which ended in almost total failure) as an attractive proposition echoing Javier Milei's afuerism, “what I did with Twitter by firing 80% of the employees, I can also do with civil servants,” but he didn't really have any personal stake in government spending. A cut in subsidies for electric vehicles, on the other hand, affects him directly, and that's why I think it was the breaking point between the two.It does not seem to be about that. At the same time, bringing Epstein into this and making it personal seems stupid on Musk's part.
