Events in Russia

Well, I can't pass by my favorite "iron Dimon". This time he thoroughly "attached" the ICC.
Dmitry Medvedev: we despise the ICC and wish him a speedy and painful death from incapacity and impotence
The judges of the miserable ICC continue to justify their decision to issue an arrest warrant for the President of Russia, which is unenforceable and therefore dangerous for world peace. Once again, the enemies of our country have spat on the principles of international law and the basic rules of international relations. In particular, on the non-proliferation of the effect of an international treaty on those States that do not participate in it. This is the cornerstone of the law of international treaties, and contract law in general.

In accordance with the Vienna Convention of 1969, if the treaty provides for obligations for third States, then the clear and explicit consent of these countries to fulfill such obligations is necessary. Our country has nothing to do with the Rome Statute of the ICC and is not obliged to cooperate with it. His decisions are insignificant for us until we voluntarily become a member of this organization. And this will never happen. We despise the ICC and wish him a speedy and painful death from incapacity and impotence.

The arguments used by the Hague court bureaucrats are an unprecedented abuse of the mandate given to them under the Rome Statute. They decided, apparently, to rewrite the basic principles of international law in favor of the suicidal intentions of the decrepit hegemon. Although they are only "judges", not legislators. And they forgot that ludicis est ius dicere, non dare.

And here are the "arguments" – for clarity:

1) The ICC has the right to carry out any such actions.

These on-call lawyers are not confused by the court's lack of legal capacity to exercise unlimited universal jurisdiction over international crimes. In accordance with the Rome Statute, the universal jurisdiction of the ICC is provided only if the UN Security Council transfers the relevant proceedings to the prosecutor of this court, and there is currently nothing like this and, of course, there will not be. The possession of this competence in full is possible only after the recognition of the legal personality of this court erga omnes by all States of the world, but the ICC has big problems with this. Not all states are ready to give the whores from this institution jurisdiction over their own country. Moreover, these court prostitutes perform perversions of a pimp with long-standing illnesses, who himself does not want to participate in the border showdowns.

2) The actions of the ICC are "indirectly supported" by the members of the UN Security Council. Justification – they "have never had any objections about the role of the court, its mandate or international qualifications."

The Hague sluts (sorry, "servants of Themis") again have problems with both elementary counting and their own memory. Among those states that do not participate in the ICC and do not recognize its jurisdiction, three of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council are Russia, China and the United States. The latter, and repeatedly, pointed out to this organization its place. Back in 2002, the law on the protection of American servicemen was adopted. It authorizes the use of military force to release any U.S. citizen or their ally detained on the territory of a third State under an ICC warrant. Trump also did not spare strong words to this so-called court, and his administration did not disdain economic sanctions and visa restrictions on the "staff" of the ICC only because of assumptions about the investigations of crimes of the US military in Afghanistan.

However, recently the dementia grandfather Biden distinguished himself. It is he who is a sick pimp who, without formally participating in the border showdowns of the ICC, secretly runs the house of legal tolerance. Spitting on the Pentagon's opinion, he ordered his administration to transmit to the ICC information about "Russia's actions" in Ukraine. In principle, we don't give a damn about it. But the US Department of Defense warned the old man that his actions could open the way for criminal prosecution of the US military.

And the last. Warrants, prosecutors, trials against Russia – all these are the amusements of our enemies, with which they entertain themselves out of impotence. And yet we must remember – these are potentially dangerous games. And this kind of action may at some point really become a casus belli.
Дмитрий Медведев: мы презираем МУС и желаем ему скорейшей и мучительной смерти от недееспособности и бессилия

Ну не могу я пройти мимо моего любимого "железного Димона". На этот раз он основательно "приложил" МУС.

From the article above, "Russia is ready for confrontation with NATO-Putin"
The Russian military has reported a total of 23 dangerous incidents involving its aircraft and those of the US-led coalition since early 2023, said Admiral Oleg Gurinov, the head of the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria. Most incidents took place in July, he added.

In 11 cases, Russian pilots recorded being targeted by Western weapon systems. Such provocations by the US-led coalition led to the automatic engagement of onboard defense systems which released decoy flares, the admiral told journalists.
That sort of puts a whole new light on things.

The event, thank God, was held without Ukrainian "participation".

The State Duma passed an amendment banning registration on websites with foreign email accounts

The State Duma at a session on Tuesday adopted an amendment to ban registration on Russian websites using foreign electronic mail services.

The amendment to the draft law 570420-7 was introduced by deputy Anton Gorelkin.

The amendment establishes that the owner of a website or a page of a website on the Internet, or of an information system or a computer program, who is a Russian legal entity or a citizen of the Russian Federation and who operates on the Internet on the territory of the Russian Federation must authorise users in a number of ways, excluding the possibility of using foreign electronic mail services.

According to the amendment, in order to register on Russian websites, a user will have to provide a Russian telephone number or e-mail, or data from "Gosuslugi" {State and Municipal Services}.

We are waiting for an adequate analysis of the bill from experts. What is considered Russian mail, what sites does this concern, etc.

So far, there is no understanding of this bill.

For example, a domain in the info zone linked to Yandex mail, is it Russian mail? Or should there be some specific domain, such as RU, if so, then there should be an official list of top-level domains that can be used. And it is important what MX servers are registered? Or maybe a user with RU mail uses American servers, etc.

With regards to Telegram and other messengers, there is registration by phone number.

Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin:
The United States, Britain and France must compensate the African states for the damage caused.

Those who are well acquainted with history know that the current well-being of the United States, Britain, France, as well as a number of other European countries is largely based on the robbery and oppression of the peoples of Africa.

During the period of colonialism, the United States and the above states of Europe, engaged in the slave trade, transported about 15 million people to America alone, who became slaves. These deportations bled Africa dry.

Britain alone transported 3 million slaves across the Atlantic in the 16th and 19th centuries. Historians call it "perhaps the most heinous crime in its history."

Time passes, but the colonial interests of the United States and a number of Western countries have not disappeared. Only the methods change.

The US, Britain and France continue to devastate African deposits of gold, platinum, uranium, critical minerals and rare earth metals.

African countries are only a source of raw materials for them. Seaports and many mining enterprises are owned by neo-colonizers.

The legislation of many African countries in the field of natural resource extraction is still not freed from the vestiges of the colonial system.

The practice of aggressive lobbying by international corporations for beneficial regulation continues.
Any initiative to protect the interests of the African people and the environment is emasculated under foreign pressure.

Due to the neo-colonial influence of Western countries, many African states have had zero or negative economic growth over the 60 years of their existence. This leads to poverty and loss of sovereignty.

The UN should consider the issue of compensation to the peoples of the African continent by, first of all, the United States, Great Britain and France for the damage they have caused. Africa has the right not only to independently dispose of its wealth, but also to compensation for the damage caused by the colonialists.

The Kremlin has published the text of a joint statement by Putin and African leaders on Ukraine

MOSCOW, Aug 4 — RIA Novosti. The text of the joint statement following the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of the seven countries representing the African Peace Initiative has been published on the Kremlin's website.
The document indicates an agreement to continue discussing the peace initiative on Ukraine. The politicians called for taking concrete steps to remove obstacles to the export of Russian grain and fertilizers.

The project was discussed at the summit in St. Petersburg on July 28. Following the talks, Russia sent its version to the countries of Africa. On the evening of August 3, a joint statement was published by the office of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The Black Sea Initiative, which was signed by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN on July 22, 2022, involves the export of Ukrainian grain and food, as well as fertilizers via the Black Sea from three ports, including Odessa.
The transaction is an integral part of the package agreement. The second part, the Russia—UN memorandum, designed for three years, provides for the unblocking of Russian exports of food and fertilizers, the reconnection of Rosselkhoznadzor to SWIFT, the resumption of supplies of agricultural machinery, spare parts and service, the restoration of the Togliatti—Odessa ammonia pipeline. Due to the non-fulfillment of these points, Moscow announced its refusal to extend the agreement.

A MIRACLE IN A MILITARY HOSPITAL. IN THE HOSPITAL OF KRASNOGORSK NOTICED THE OUTLINE OF THE VIRGIN
The miraculous outlines resembling the image of the Mother of God appeared on the glass doors of the operating departments and corridors of the surgical center at the A.A. Vishnevsky Central Military Clinical Hospital.

Photos and video frames of the unique phenomenon are published by eyewitnesses on their social networks. People say that the image of the Mother of God appeared on all the glass doors of the hospital, which lead from the 1st to the 6th floor, where the intensive care unit is located.

It is reported that the images appeared after the departure of one of the seriously wounded soldiers on the intensive care table. Doctors fought for his life for several hours, but could not save his life.

According to eyewitnesses, the image of the Virgin looks like a drawing on a fogged window. It is impossible to erase the image, it seems to be sealed inside the glass.

Guests and hospital staff say that His Holiness Patriarch Kirill witnessed the phenomenon. After the manifestation of the image, the confessor of the brethren of the legendary Optina Desert and His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Archimandrite Eli, also came to the hospital.

In the Central Military clinical Hospital named after A.A. Vishnevsky, seriously injured military personnel from the battlefields of a special military operation in Ukraine are being treated.

The event, of course, is historic for Russia, but this is only the beginning.
Historic event: Russia returns to the Moon (VIDEO)

A truly historic event took place today — Russia is returning to the moon. For the first time since the collapse of the USSR, a Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket with a Fregat upper stage and an automatic Luna-25 station was launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome.

The station will have to work out the soft landing technology, take and analyze the soil, as well as study the upper layer of the surface regolith near the South Pole of our satellite, as well as the lunar exosphere.

The rocket worked normally, the upper stage separated from the third stage and brought the automatic station on the trajectory of the flight to the Moon.

Luna-25 is to become the first station in the world to make a soft landing in the near-polar region with a difficult terrain, all of its predecessors landed in the equatorial zone.

Recall that over the past 50 years, only China has managed to land its spacecraft on the surface of the Moon. All other attempts by different countries ended in failure. The first lunar rover in the history of mankind was Soviet.

In fact, I am far from such assessments as Tsargrad gives us: triumph, blah, blah, blah. All this will still need to be proved by competent, systematic work. So far, what Nelson says is true. We are not competitors yet. If we do what we planned, then there will be a "triumphant return".
NASA HAS CROSSED RUSSIA OUT OF THE "MOON RACE". THE RUSSIANS RESPONDED WITH A TRIUMPHANT RETURN
Russia will launch the Luna-26 automatic station in 2027, Luna-27 in 2028, and Luna-28 after 2030. This was told by the head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov.

Russia has launched the Luna-25 interplanetary automatic station to the Moon - this is the first expedition to the Earth satellite for the country in almost 50 years. It is noteworthy that NASA has crossed Russia out of the "moon race". It is worth noting - in vain. See how effectively our rocket with the "Luna-25" takes off.

How NASA underestimated Russia
NASA CEO Bill Nelson wished success to the Russian Luna-25 mission, but doubted that Russia could compete with the United States and China in landing people at the South Pole of the Moon.

I don't think there are many people at the moment who could say that Russia is really ready to send astronauts to the moon within the time frame that we plan, or perhaps China could. I think the space race is really happening between us and China,

Nelson said at a press conference.

And while the American NASA administration, as usual, is crucifying about its own exclusivity, Russia is already flying and making plans for further development of the satellite.

Let's turn to the specifics.

Luna-25 - the special
Luna-25 will be the first station to make a soft landing near the South Pole of the Moon with a difficult terrain. All of its predecessors landed in the equatorial zone. The station will conduct research on the lunar soil, will look for ice.

The same Nelson, by the way, expressed fears that China would be the first to land people at the South Pole of the Moon and claim rights to resource-rich territories, and water should be shared.

If we really find a lot of water there that can be used by future crews and spacecraft, then we want to ensure that it is available to everyone, not just those who claim it,

Nelson was saying.

About Russia, which has already gone to that zone, Nelson said nothing. It is understandable: for him, Russia is not a competitor on the moon.

But let's return directly to the "Moon-25".

We will land where no one has landed
yet "Luna-25" - the first swallow of the first stage of the development of the Earth's satellite. Her mission was calculated on Earth, uploaded to a computer. The station body is made of lightweight materials, and the weight is one and a half tons. There are dozens of smart sensors on board. All this was created specifically for the expedition, which will last a year. Russia has been carefully preparing for the mission: soft landing technology, autonomous navigation, communication and data transmission system will be worked out.

By the way, about the "stuffing" of the station. The sensors in Luna-25 are analogs of those used by the Americans in their rovers. Only in the Russian station are our domestic devices. They work successfully, transmit information. There is still a manipulator at the station. He will probe the lunar soil at the landing site to find out the chemical properties.

It sets at the South Pole of the moon. Previously, machines and people in the middle latitudes landed. Since the Indians discovered water on the moon, their lunar satellite found water just at the South Pole, many countries are considering building a base on the moon,

- said the head of the Institute of Space Policy Ivan Moiseev.

But on the moon, water cannot gather in puddles. Therefore, they are looking for ice, and it is in the shadow of craters, where the temperature is minus 150 Celsius, Mir 24 reports. Water, if decomposed into its components, is a good rocket fuel - oxygen and hydrogen. No, no, they won't drag water from the moon to Earth. This is necessary for activities in space.

That is, the first step is to send the station to the moon. Step two is to send a man to the moon. Step three is to build a base and infrastructure on the moon. And Russia is consistently moving towards the goal. A lunar spacesuit is already being developed. It is based on the existing Krechet spacesuit, but the current version has been updated using the technology of the modern Orlan spacesuit.

Let us repeat that Luna-25 is just the beginning of Russia's triumphant return to the arena of the lunar race. The plans, as we remember, are to launch Luna-26, Luna-27 and Luna-28.
https://tsargrad.tv/news/nasa-vyche...ie-otvetili-triumfalnym-vozvrashheniem_843871

This can limit access to Russian websites. Would love to see our Russian members' comments. Does it include Telegram, for example? Can anyone have a Russian email account? Or is a Russian phone number needed for that?

As f1esk said, it's unclear how exactly this decree is going to be enforced or explained. Whe it comes to Telegram, it requires registration by phone, and besides, Telegram isn't "Russian".

As for Russian sites or forums, any foreigner can open Yandex or Mail.ru mailbox and register this way. If they will include IP limitations, it's always possible to use VPN. You do require a Russian phone number if you would like to do a two-factor authentication. But it's usually not a must, and you can simply change your password more often in order to keep it more secure.

So at least for now there are a lot of unknowns and unclear things, and also many ways to go around them. I think that for now they just lay out the legal background, and it isn't clear how exactly it's going to manifest.

What's for sure, sooner or later people will find ways around it as well, as people found ways around web restrictions both from the West side or Russia's.

The exhibition "Army-2023" opened in the Moscow region

Video message on the occasion of the opening of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2023"
on August 14, 202313:05
International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2023"
Vladimir Putin: Ladies and gentlemen! Dear foreign guests!

I welcome you to the International Military-technical Forum "Army-2023".

Over the past years, the forum has rightfully earned high authority and recognition, has become one of the world's largest exhibitions of innovations and modern military products, has made a serious contribution to the development of military-technical cooperation, in general, to the development of multifaceted relations between Russia and foreign countries.

And this time, the participants and guests of the forum – representatives of delegations from many countries – will have an interesting, rich program.

Fifteen hundred Russian enterprises presented more than twenty-eight and a half thousand modern samples of military and dual-use products at the stands, expositions, and landfills of the Patriot Park.

Russia is open to deepening equal technological partnership and military-technical cooperation with other countries, with all those who defend their national interests, their independent path of development and considers it fundamentally important to build together an equal indivisible security system that would reliably protect each state.

We offer our partners a wide selection of modern weapons of almost all types and types. This includes the latest control systems, intelligence, precision weapons and robotics.

Special attention at the forum sites is paid to the topic of unmanned aerial vehicles. This direction is actively developing today in both the military and civilian sectors. In fact, we are talking about creating a new independent science-intensive and high-tech industry.

And of course, we suggest paying attention to the innovative and civilian products of our defense industry enterprises. These are boats and helicopters, amphibians and drones for a wide range of applications.

I would also like to note that this year the business program of the forum, consisting of 250 events, is devoted to the diversification of the military-industrial complex and the development of artificial intelligence technologies. Russia has something to offer in these breakthrough, promising areas. From year to year, the volume of the market for products that use artificial intelligence technologies is growing.

We are also glad that more and more foreign military-industrial companies are becoming participants of the forum. If 32 organizations exhibited their products here last year, 82 this year.

We intend to work actively both in the format of already established cooperative ties and to create new ones based on the long-term successful experience of such a mutually beneficial partnership.

We propose to develop cooperation in a variety of areas, including in personnel training, in training foreign servicemen and improving their qualifications, in conducting joint command and staff exercises and other exercises. And we hope that, as before, important agreements and export contracts will be signed on the sidelines of the forum.

Dear friends!

I am confident that its holding will strengthen military and military-technical partnership for the benefit of security and stability in the emerging multipolar world.

I wish you successful work and all the best.

The Luna-25 AMC crashed during a change of orbit. What happened?
AMS Luna-25 collided with the surface of the Earth's satellite

MOSCOW, Aug 20 — RIA Novosti, Tatiana Pichugina. The Luna-25 spacecraft ceased to exist as a result of a collision with the surface of the Moon, Roscosmos reported. An emergency situation arose yesterday afternoon when trying to transition to a pre-landing orbit, as a result, communication with the device was lost. It was not possible to restore it. A preliminary analysis of the situation showed that the station crashed.
How is the Luna-25 flight going?
Luna-25 is a fully automatic, Earth—controlled vehicle weighing 1.6 tons. It was designed by specialists of NPO Lavochkin, relying on the knowledge gained during Soviet lunar missions, but the filling is completely new. Engineers of NPO Lavochkin determined the conditions of the flight to the Moon and the available launch windows, calculated the trajectory, maneuvering, pre-landing and landing orbits. There were about 30 kilograms of scientific equipment on board, created at the ICI of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The AMS was supposed to land on the main site measuring 30 by 15 kilometers north of the Boguslavsky crater with coordinates: 69.55 south latitude and 43.54 east longitude. Approximately at this latitude, the Russian Antarctic station Novolazarevskaya is located at the South Pole of the Earth. The main task of the mission is to search for water ice in the polar region of our satellite.
The launch took place on August 11 at the Vostochny Cosmodrome. The Soyuz-2.1b rocket put the AMS on a suborbital trajectory, the Fregat upper stage accelerated to enter the flight path to the Moon, then separated.
The next day, the first trajectory correction was performed, on August 13 — the second, on August 16, the station entered the circular polar orbit of the Moon, becoming its artificial satellite. At this stage, scientific equipment was prepared. The cameras of the STS-L onboard television have been calibrated to shoot the lunar surface in the colors we are familiar with.

On the seventeenth of August, scientific observations began. Specialists of the ICI RAS conducted several equipment inclusions, in particular the neutron and gamma-ray spectrometer HADRON-LR. It was he who had to look for ice in the ground.
The ARIES-L ion energy-mass analyzer, designed to study the near-surface ion exosphere in the polar region of the Moon, was also tested.
In addition, the PmL device was tested to register microparticles levitating near the surface of the Moon and determine the parameters of the surrounding plasma. At the same time, a micrometeorite impact was registered, most likely from the Perseid meteor shower. It turns out that Luna-25 successfully crossed it during the flight.
On the eighteenth of August, at 09:20, the engine was started for 40 seconds. "The correction took place normally, all onboard systems of Luna-25 are working normally, the connection is stable," the press service of Roscosmos reported.
During the flight, the onboard television system (STS-L), developed at the ICI RAS with the participation of MIIGAIK, sent several photos to Earth. Four wide-angle and four narrow-angle cameras perform, among other things, panoramic, and stereo photography.
The first images were received on August 13 from a distance of about 310 thousand kilometers. The structural elements of the device are visible against the background of the Earth, the mission emblem and the bucket of the onboard manipulator. Another picture was received on August 16.

The station sent a picture of the lunar surface from the polar circular orbit on August 17. This frame captures the southern polar crater Zeeman on the far side of the moon.

What happened in lunar orbit
Next, the AMS was supposed to descend into a pre-landing orbit with an altitude of 18 kilometers at the lowest point and land at about noon on August 21, using high- and low-thrust engines.
Braking started on August 19 at 14 hours 10 minutes.
"During the operation, an emergency situation occurred on board the automatic station, which did not allow the maneuver to be performed with the specified parameters. Currently, the specialists of the management group are analyzing the situation," Roscosmos informed.
A discussion of the emergency situation unfolded in social networks. Experts recalled that the disruption of communication with spacecraft is not uncommon. So, at the end of July, NASA lost communication with the Voyager-2 probe for two weeks when the antenna was reoriented. However, its location was known, unlike Luna-25.
Experts explained what interferes with the orbital rotation of the Earth. When the Moon goes over the horizon, ground-based communication facilities in Russia do not see the device.
At night, a number of telegram channels reported on a meeting at Lavochkin's NGO with the participation of the first Deputy Director for Development and Promising Projects of Roscosmos, Alexander Ivanov. According to unofficial information, the device received a braking impulse one and a half times more than the calculated one. This means a descent from orbit and a collision with the surface.
There were technical problems before the launch. However, according to the interlocutors of RIA Novosti, they seem to have been solved.
A leading researcher at the Space Research Institute (ICI) spoke about the "alarming signs" before the transition to the pre-landing orbit RAN Nathan Eismont. In his opinion, it was necessary to postpone the maneuver.
According to some reports, there were difficulties with the pulse-Doppler radar measuring altitude, which is why the launch was postponed several times.
The crash of the AMS Luna-25 was reported on August 20 at 11:52. Communication with the device was interrupted on August 19 at 14:57 when trying to form an elliptical pre-landing orbit, Roscosmos clarified.

"The measures implemented on August 19 and 20 to search for the device and get in touch with it did not give results. According to the results of the preliminary analysis, due to the deviation of the actual parameters of the pulse from the calculated ones, the device moved into an unaccountable orbit and ceased to exist as a result of a collision with the surface of the Moon," the official communique says. An interdepartmental commission will investigate the causes of the accident. The crash site of the station is unknown.
What's next
Luna-25 is the third Russian interplanetary mission that ended in failure. In 1996, we lost the Mars-96 spacecraft, and in 2011, the Phobos-Grunt probe did not leave Earth's orbit. Both vehicles are submerged in the Pacific Ocean. At the same time, there were two very successful orbital scientific projects — the Radioastron radio telescope and the Spectrum-RG X-ray-gamma telescope, and Russia also participated in the first stage of the Exomars mission in 2016.
The Soviet Union sent 24 spacecraft to the moon. The latter delivered more than a hundred kilograms of soil to the Ground. It was in these samples that GEOCHA scientists found water, which marked the beginning — after observational confirmation of this fact in the 2000s - of a new lunar race.
It is worth noting that the flight to the moon and landing is an extremely difficult undertaking. On the surface of the Earth's satellite there is a cemetery of vehicles that have made planned and unplanned hard landings — more than 80. In 2019, the Indian landing module "Chandrayan-2" and the private Israeli probe "Bereshit" crashed. In April 2023, the Japanese private company Ispace lost a landing station with two lunar rovers on board. In May, NASA aborted the mission of a small probe (cubesat) Lunar Flashlight, which could not enter lunar orbit.
Experts believe that, most likely, the Russian lunar program will have to be revised. So, State Duma deputy Anton Gorelkin wrote in the telegram channel: Roscosmos needs to conduct a deep analysis of all the circumstances of the incident and take them into account in the work on Luna-26.
If everything had been normal with Luna-25, the Luna-26 orbiter and the Luna-27 landing station with a drilling rig and a lunar rover would have followed.
Currently, four spacecraft are operating in orbit of the Moon: the American Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter station, the Indian Chandrayan-2, the Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO), launched last year by South Korea, the Indian Chandrayan-3 probe with the Vikram lander, which is preparing for a lunar landing in the southern polar region on August 23. And on August 26, another Japanese lander with a lunar rover will go to the moon.
