FOTCM: Application for Membership

Deedlet said:
Hey Laura & Group:

I just wanted to say that I mailed my application about a month ago but still not part of the FOTCM forum yet. So I just wanted to follow up & ask if it was received and I should just be patient. I didn't know how long I should wait before making this post but my impatience go the better of me today :-[

Hi Deedlet,

I'm afraid we haven't received your application yet. It could be on its way, depending on where you live. It takes about 3 weeks to reach us in France from Colorado.

In the meantime, you can send us a PDF or word file of the Application from at info (at) paleochristianity (dot) org. That will accelerate the process while we wait for your signed application.

Thanks for your patience.

Yes, it's on the way. The holiday season and global warming snow falls have really delayed mail globally, but it should be arriving soon.

If it's not too much to ask, have you received my application in the mail as well in Colorado? I sent it roughly around the same time as Deedlet, which would be early December.

Yes, yours is on the way as well. In the meantime, submitting the pdf via email as Ailen has suggested is a great idea to get it 'kick started'.

Received! Thanks. You'll soon get a notification to inform you that you have been admitted and that your certificate and member card are on their way. At that point, you'll be able to access the FOTCM forum section too.

Thank you all for your patience! We are hoping that soon we'll have an automatic application form on the PC website, which will hopefully accelerate the process.

I emailed mine as well.

DanielS and Megan,

We received your application forms. Thank you! You will be hearing from us very soon.

For any other Macintosh users -- you can fill out the form using Preview, but you may then need to print to a second PDF file from the first one in order to produce a copy that the PC version of Adobe Reader can read. When I omitted that step the PDF file arrived blank!

Hi guys,

Did anyone receive any applications from Japan? My girlfriend (Aya) and I sent both of ours in the same envelope, although I put my reply to address as being in Canada since that is a permanent addresss. I notice there is one person from Tokyo marked on the map so not sure of it was hers. Nothing for Toronto (Brampton actually) so I'm guessing it hasn't. Unfortunately we forgot to scan the document before sending it so not sure if we should fill it out again and scan, email and resend or maybe just fill it out online as best as we can remember and email that version?? It has been about 3 or 4 weeks and perhaps we need to wait longer. Anyhow, just putting the word out. Thanks!

Oh yea, also I was having trouble with my paypal so made a donation via signs. Hope that's okay.

No. That isn't Aya. Unfortunately, we haven't received your applications yet. But they should get here pretty soon. Given the weather conditions, it could be taking longer than normally.

Well, if you want to become a member sooner, then the best solution would be to send us the scanned applications. We can later compare them with the signed copies and change what is necessary. Otherwise you can wait one more week before you send them. We'll let you know if we receive them in the meantime.

If you do send them, you can download the updated form here: http://paleochristianity.org/how-to-join/ and send it to us to info (at) paleochristianity (dot) org

Thanks for your patience.

Hi,

I've just sent my form. I'm not in any hurry so shall I just leave it at the snail mail copy or do you prefer an email one as well?

Thanks

It really is up to you. If you are not in a hurry, there is no need to send it by e-mail. So, it's as you wish. :)

Very soon we will have an automated application form for new applicants to fill in and then send their signed copy. That will accelerate the process.

Hi Ailen,

Thank you for the kind reply. We'll give it a couple of more weeks then. In the meantime we'll prepare an online version (we used the form at the above address for the one we had sent already) and email that version over to the above address.

Many thanks!
