For breakfast :

- rice
- eggs - only white part .
- water ;] dropped milk

Why not the yellow part? It's extremely important for balanced brain chemistry.

I have read once that yolk part have Big amount of cholesterol and if you want drop weight just dont eat it .
I was at this diet : _http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/articles/eating.html

I lost 30kg weight then all works fine then i go for Ultra Simple Diet and now I'm healthy eating .

Your brain needs the egg yolks. Don't believe all the stuff you read about cholesterol being bad; it isn't. You need plenty of good fats. I've lost over 40 pounds eating lots of fat and eliminating most carbs. Read "Detoxification and Healing" for the skinny on fats. Or, just read the forum threads on the topic.

Hi Shijing! Thanks so much for the tip about Xylitol! I use Xylitol to sweeten my tea, and it just didn't occur to me that I could also use it in my buckwheat pancakes! I'll make my next batch of buckwheat cakes with Xylitol! Thanks again!!!!!!!!

When you cook the BW cakes, you'll need a bit of D-ribose or powdered sugar in the batter. This will "cook out" if you make it just a small amount. If you use xylitol in the batter, it won't cook the same. But we use xylitol to sprinkle ON the blinis before eating.

NEVER use artificial, chemical sweeteners. They are poison.

And then gents,

Any suggestion for a quick to prepare breakfast that you can take on a daily basis, like before going to work in the morning (I'm still in the system, can't avoid it now...).

I usually take 4 boiled eggs with a banana but now I'm looking for variety. I've read the tread but most suggestions seem like they take a little while to prepare, save the fruit bowl suggested by Laura.

Be careful with bananas. According to the chart in Life Without Bread, one banana has 20g carbs which is enough for a whole day of a ketosis diet. As for breakfast you can take with you, if you cook bacon the night before, you can take it in a ziploc bag and even eat it cold in the car on the way to work or as a snack at work. Sausages, too, but read the label on the sausages to make sure they are gluten free and don't have spices that don't agree with you.

lots of bacon and eggs :D

that said, it seems to be harder to get organic farm fresh eggs in a big city these days

I make up a batch of sausage and bacon from the butcher for the week, and then get up and make Hubby an egg with a handful of pre cooked meat every morning for
breakfast.

Sometimes I have the same thing, other times I eat four slices of bacon. (Yummy bacon!)

Hubby used to make his own Egg McMuffins: English muffin, evil American cheese, and a sausage patty. Since he's quit carbs, he's losing weight, feeling much better, and loving breakfast.

I make sausages using ground pork or ground beef ( mostly organic grass fed ) with some egg yellow frying , if I find some time. I take some green salad too if possible , though that's not feeling good now a days.

i've got some good straight from the farm bacon around.

But still guys, you don't eat bacon and eggs every morning ? Even I am a meat lover and wouldn't eat bacon all the time.

How do you vary you breakfast?

I bought this morning some gluten free cereals, I'll see how it tastes and keep you posted !

We eat bacon, ground pork patties, eggs occasionally, and sometimes meat from the night before re-fried in lard. Butter on the pork patties.

That's it. (Oh, I drink a cup of black tea with xylitol - or two or three.)

No more fruit for us.

Sometimes there's ground beef, sometimes there's ground pork, or lamb, and/or some kind of meat and/or fat cut, and/or eggs, often with butter and/or some extra lard.

I no longer make a difference between the meals - so "breakfast", "lunch", "dinner", or whatever it's called has no meaning; it is simply "time for food", and whatever goes for one of them goes for all of them.

That said, I could easily do with bacon and eggs every morning.

Regardless of how it tastes, there's a lot of us here who wouldn't quite consider it food - because it adds nothing that benefits the body - just wears it a little bit because it essentially just amounts to sugar as do all carbs.

I recommend reading the Life Without Bread thread; might give some new perspective and ideas on food and nutrition in general.

Once you switch from carb metabolism to fat metabolism, your body feels nourished and you don't crave variety. You are satisfied to eat to live rather than living to eat. We eat almost the same thing every single day (most minimal of variations as described above) and NEVER get tired of it.

That's the thing I notice most....I crave fatty meat, and I don't want anything else. I don't even like fruit anymore, and smelling baked goods makes me feel sick. Hubby isn't to this point yet, and is still getting the carb cravings, but he's only been on the diet a couple weeks. (But he's never tired of his breakfast.)

This is exactly how i am. "I" have been eating the same meal everyday for about 3 month since deciding to go to keto. Its very helpful too since i am a dirt poor college student. It consists of about 8 tablespoons of butter or 1 stick , 1 whole onion, 1 grass fed organic beef patty, and two eggs. "I" carmelize the onions, salt & black pepper the onions, lightly cook the eggs and the patty, and voila it can hold me off for a full 24 hours.

Forgot to mention that i used to use non organic, non grass fed butter, and after reading about rGBH, i knew why i always had that funny feeling. Know i use coconut oil to make up most of the volume of the fat in my meals, and grass fed organic butter for the taste, only about a tablespoon, because its pricey though.

This is exactly where i am at, and i second it thorougly. Its funny because when asked about what i eat because on the rare occasions i go out with people, and they are eating some form of poison, they always, look at me with a suprised/shocked face, and then ask, So, what do you eat? "I" have learned to just laugh, and because of most peoples attention span, mentation, etc, they move on to another subject by themselves.

"I" think we are becoming modern day Spartans, (at least compared to our contemporaries) that is one of the greatest warrior tribes. "I" mean the only liquids i drink are water throughout the whole day, and the liquid fat from my meals.

"I" get the feeling that the diet change that we who have CHOSEN to undertake, is one of those actions, that in "future" generations will be looked upon as possibly the key stone, that is the action which connected, and made a path to them.

It absolutely amazing how our biochemical environments are changing, isn't it?

"I" was eating Beef liver that i had fried up in butter and onions a couple of weeks back, and on my first bite, i could taste the glycogen being broken down by the enzymes in my saliva. "I" was like, huh, so this is how meat probably tastes to carnivores, count me in baby. Know i tasted pure glucose a couple of years back, and from memory (i know memory from a while back, not too reliable) this taste from the liver in my mouth was the same. The sweetness of the meat was very light and filling, nothing like fruits, candy cake, etc, etc.

Yes that`s my notice too. I can eat two eggs and bacon every day and I'm not getting tired of it. between the breakfast and lunch time I'm no hungry anymore as months ago. My wife said first time after 14 years together I see you like once I met you. after 14 years I got my 79 Kg. :D
