Goodbye, Ernie

I feel sorry for your loss AI, about a year ago (5th may 2010) I went through the same experience, so now you brought this sad news i remember that day when i lost my beloved dog Robert Dante.

Sorry to hear, Tykes. But I'm sure if Robert Dante doesn't have a fresh new body already, he and Ernie are both drinking from the big doggie dish in the sky! :hug2:

I am really sorry about Ernie. My condolences to you and your family.

Sounds like a life well lived and will be very missed.

Such a lovely dog!! I wish I could have met him.... sad to hear he had to go
Godspeed Ernie! And my thoughts are with you and your family AI~

Ernie looks like such wonderful companion - he must have been ready to graduate!

So sorry for your loss, AI. :hug2: My thoughts are with you and your family.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It looks like Ernie spent his life in service, helping who knows how many people.....those pictures kinda say it all.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet sweet dog. What an adorable name for an adorable dog.

I am so sorry for your loss AI--it is never easy to lose a beloved pet--They are such an intimate and loving part of our lives that their sudden loss leaves us bereft.
The dog in my avatar picture died just last Nov. of the same problem--ruptured tumor on the spleen and internal bleeding--there was little to be done so we helped pass on to his next experience, although we miss him almost every day still. It sounds like Ernie was well on his way to growing a soul in this life--may he be in a better place in his next.

I was saddened to hear about Ernie. May he rest in peace, reawaken in joy and remember you forever! :)

Sorry to hear about Ernie. My 16 year old cat is currently at the vet undergoing some surgery on a rather nasty throat infection. The place seems awfully empty without him.

It turned out to be several tumours. So he didn't make it. I'll start a separate thread.

So sorry AI at your loss of Ernie. These 2d bonded creatures of ours share so much with us in life and the heartbreak of losing them, saying goodbye, remains such a great yearning loss for us - Ernie was lovely. :hug2:

My condolences for the loss of your nice dog Ernie. I know how you feel now, because I myself put down my little dog Joy some days ago.
