Graham Hancock

Omg! I just found out there will be a season 2 of the series Ancient Apocalypse titled "the Americas" on October 16. Can't wait!
I really enjoyed watching the first season. This is the trailer and at 1:19 we can see he interviewed Keanu Reeves.

Watching it now. I’ll probably binge the whole thing today.😄

Episode 1 is White Sands, New Mexico and footprints found from 23k years ago. He’s now welcomed Keanu Reeves to the conversation. So far, definitive proof of human presence 12k years before the Younger Dryas is a great way to start the series!

*Not really sure why Keanu was there. He didn’t contribute much, and we’re now on to the Amazon. Bye bye Mr Anderson.😆

Same thoughts re: Keanu. I guess it's like an election endorsement. Keanu is a fan, and his presence will bring in viewers (and establish him as even cooler than he already is ;-)).

I just started season one .. it’s a bit flashy with all the camera angles etc but the info seems interesting … looking forward to watching the rest of it
I really liked season one, let's see if he can keep the magic for season two.

hehehe, I remember something similar when I saw Rogan last season, like "I hang out with cool dudes that think this is cool!"

I’m now working my way through episode 4, and frankly I’m a little bit disappointed. The Maltese episode was underwhelming (I really didn’t need another lesson in precession and Sirius). And then we return to Bimini and Atlantis and the “roads” under the water. I hope he’s building towards something. Otherwise I read all of this stuff in Hancock’s (and Andrew Collins’ and Robert Bauval’s) books 30 years ago. So far there’s nothing new here for me. Next up are Göbekli Tepe, New Mexico, and Derinkuyu (which I’m tempted to skip ahead to). But it’s certainly an enjoyable introduction for the novice. I’m holding off on making a final judgement.😄

Finished the first season and on to the 2nd, I agree that it was very weird that Keanu showed up ad basically said nothing, why? haha

anyway, it's well presented and I am enjoying the show ;)
Also watched the 2nd in the series tonight. The Amazon look was interesting, the drone LiDAR, too.

Hancock spends time on Easter Island looking into the myths and timelines. Here is what the C's had said November 1995 about the Island:

Q: (L) So when the Easter Island natives talk about their ancestors they are talking about people who came from the direction of South America?

A: No. Right near all around. Easter Island is remnant of Lemuria.

Q: (L) What happened to Lemuria?

A: Submerged close to time you refer to as Fall of Eden, approximately.

I think it is about presenting the best available evidence for an antedeluvian civilization to a wider audience (Netflix). It is meant for people who never heard any of this before.

To add to axj's previous answer, he's building up toward proving there's been a comet that hit Earth 12 000 years ago, and that the people back then knew about these comet cycles. He's supporting his theories with the help of scientists who are not approved by the thought police of their community (or at least that's the memory I have of it from what I perceived at that time).

Oh you misunderstood me. I know fully that’s his intent. It’s simply that I’ve been reading his books for decades. That’s always been his thesis. In fact I learned about the Younger Dryas from him in the first place. But for someone who’s long familiar with his work, and has been a fan since forever, there’s nothing new here so far. I thought he was introducing some new information. This so far has been essentially his old work from his books presented in a visual, television format. Which as I said is a lovely introduction for the novice. I’m not slighting it in any way. 😊

I get that. I said in my post that it’s a nice introduction for the novice. Isn’t that your point also? It’s disappointing to me personally because I read all of this in his books 30 years ago. I was hoping for new information. As for reaching a wider audience, I think that’s great!😃

This maybe implies that Lemuria was the equivalent of Atlantis at the time of "the Fall", some 309,000 years ago, the power center that got destroyed via cosmic means.

Maybe "the Fall" is just a marker and there's been many, many 309,000 years cycles.
