Hagar is VERY sick

From my brother's testimony, those vets over there are pretty darn good. Best wishes.

That's exactly what my vet told me. She was honest and told me she doesn't know enough about goats to even attempt something like this (she's my dog and cat's doctor) but if she had to pick the best people to take care of Hagar, it would be the vets at this College. Evidently they created many of the advanced techniques other "show goat" vets are using.

She was right on about what was wrong with him too. We thought he was constipated because part of his butt kept sticking out when he started straining and crying, but she knew right off that he had a urine blockage and something could rupture if he didn't get vetting right away. If we had waited until morning for a fancy vet to open, it would probably be too late.

So sorry about all this Guardian :( I'll pray for Hagar, and it sounds like he's in good hands. Yesterday I saw a car accident happen right next to me in the lane over - traffic was slowing down and someone wasn't paying attention and plowed into the car in front of them (loud noise, big dents, parts flying everywhere, it was pretty hard), who in turn hit the car in front of them. It almost gave me a heart attack since my window was half-open and it was right next to me. That got me thinking about what it could be telling me, as that was pretty much a shocking wake up call to pay attention to objective reality. Stay strong, Guardian, life has a way of working itself out if we let the universe teach us what it's trying to communicate.

Happy Birthday!
:flowers:

I hope you find the time to take some moments for yourself, to celebrate your birthday and enjoy the beach.

It's great that you have an interested group of people helping Hager, that is pretty rare! Show goats, wow. Well they are beautiful creatures. :)

At this point I'm just trying to figure out what's going on...it seems like one thing after another. I just canceled my trip to Ocracoke Island. I was going to leave Friday and spend the week at a beach house with a bunch of friends (for my birthday) but I really can't go now. I'd just be worried about Hagar and the rest of my family the whole time anyway.

Hi Dawn, did you miss Guardian mentioning that she canceled her trip to the beach?

A couple of months ago, I was witness to several squirrel suicides in the space of one week. It was very disturbing

I saw a squirrel killed (by someone else) last week too. It feels like everything is just dying all around us. I went up to see the Grandmother trees Sunday, and they are dying too...everything in the Joyce Kilmer looks just like my yard. Even the mountain laurels are dying, the "weeds" ... everything.

- but when I thought about how fast they run and how unconcerned they are generally for the dangers of cars, it made me think that i was running around too fast - not paying enough attention to what was happening around me. I really slowed down - especially while driving and started paying more attention to everything around me while in the car.

Well I did drive over the mountain really fast, covered about 120 miles in a little over an hour...but I drove real slow on the way back because I was so tired, and I wasn't doing 20 mph when I ran over the bunny. He ran out of the bushes right under my wheel.

Fingers crossed, Guardian. VERY tight.

Me too. I was just saying how I don't have much faith in "praying" in another thread. Wanna guess what I'm sitting here doing?

I'm thinking life would be a whole lot less painful if the universe could learn how to send an email.

I've done LOTS of things in my life that I knew were going to cause me problems down the road, but I did them anyway...usually because some abusive scumbag really ticked me off.

This is soooo different though..all the things that keep happening are out of my control, I can't prevent or stop it....or if I can, I don't know how.

Maybe the universe is already doing that but we have put the email address of the universe on the black list or the spam list ???

I'm sorry for the other people, but I'm REALLY glad the accident missed you SAO!!!

Maybe...that idea kinda puts a whole new meaning to the phrase "Black Hole"

Try to not let this fact of physicality get you down. It is quite opposite to the feeling when spring is in the air. I guess a good term is the circle of life.

Plant more trees and bulbs for next spring. It seems looking, moving and working forward with optimism is a good way to be in the present, rather than dwelling on the past.

Feeling your pain, win.

I may be off, but I think it's possible that the message is not about some specific deeds that you need to do/not to do so to directly prevent or stop those things happening. I have no idea what it can be about, but it can concern a very basic beliefs you are still clinging to. The universe may be sending 2D beings on your way knowing that you care about them so you won't miss the envelopes. But to know what the message is about you need to look inside. Just a thought, fwiw.

Darn that does sound like I didn't read the full post, however I was going to add "It doesn't have to be your birthday to take some time out for yourself and say goodbye to the beach," but then I started off on a story about how I was also going to the beach to say goodbye before I leave Alabama, however when I re-read my reply, it seemed like I was talking too much about myself, and not being considerate, so I deleted about half of my post.

I second and third guessed myself. Thanks for pointing out my obvious mistake anart.

Sorry Guardian. :(

I'm trying....but it's REALLY difficult when ya can't remember why you decided to hop a decaying meatsack to begin with. As I recall, it seemed like a really good idea at the time...then again, maybe I just lost a bet?

It is quite opposite to the feeling when spring is in the air. I guess a good term is the circle of life.

It's high summer here, everything should be bright and green...not dying. It looks more like October except the leaves should die from the edges inward.

Plant more trees and bulbs for next spring.

I think we're going to have to build a greenhouse...a BIG one.
