Of course there are psychic experiences that change our lives. I was referring generally to people who mentioned:
The vast majority of people I've met who have had some similar experiences has not been a real change in their lives.

Hello Fastwalker,
In regards to you post and finding people of like mindedness, the Forum is a place for people who are seeking higher consciousness to come together. This seeking of higher consciousness comes from seeking objective truth in all things, including ourselves.
I would like to say that I empathize with your feelings. I too have cringed at responses to peoples posts. It is this cringing that is the tool we need for growth. These feelings let us see where our attachments lie. Even with your post there were a few comments that stirred feelings. I had to ask myself “why?” What about your post and other’s response to it made me, Wunjo, defensive? What was inside of me, what “I”, that became indignant with the responses? These questions about our feelings regarding something and our feeling about wanting to believe something, give us insight into ourselves where the real story lies. I can understand how accosting it may seem having your experience and yourself analyzed, but if you are looking for spiritual growth it is what is necessary. It seems you came looking for some dialogue regarding your experience, however, you received that dialogue and you received something else. You must ask yourself, what did you receive? What were you really looking for, true knowledge or confirmation of your feelings? What does it mean? But most importantly you must ask yourself why you are feeling the way you are feeling regarding the experience.
A true dialogue is about seeking understanding and one must be willing to hear that what they believe is incorrect. In addition to hearing it one must be prepared to accept the possibility of being incorrect as well. In essence one can say that people’s responses, whether they were worded to our liking are not, are irrelevant, it’s our reaction to them that tell us huge volumes about ourselves. Without objective knowledge of ourselves we cannot truly seek and obtain higher consciousness.
One aspect of this quest is to not be lead by our emotions and our feel good feelings. As the human race is both asleep and in bondage our understanding of higher consciousness is very limited. Feel good feelings are not an indication of truth or benevolence. We can see that in this 3D world alone most every form of control imposed upon us is pleasure based. The likely hood that beings of higher abilities than us would just be that much more advanced at the same techniques. If you were to look at someone primitive who had no knowledge of recreational drugs of any kind, would they too have a hard time thinking that something that feels so wonderful could be actually negative? We would know better, we have knowledge that we can apply, the primitive would have none. Are we so different in higher realms? It’s just a thought.
Everyone in the Forum is here to Learn and Help. Try releasing your attachments for things to be a certain way and just try seeing them as they are.
