how to get un-bored?

Ohhhhh...sorry, I didn't get what you meant. Probably not this time, it was improvised. In other words, I can't exactly duplicate it. :(
good possibility. Set new goals??
No I shouldn’t expand. But rather find out what happened. Before setting new goals.

Next to that it isn’t that easy. If you want to achieve something it’s through that process which you have to enjoy. Having something in sight well disregarding the journey towards that isn’t going to work.

- You need a certain ‘passion’

A lot of people would say that they like to do something but when they exactly find out what they have to fulfill in order to reach that something.

- They quit.

A lot of people want to know want to do. But they do not want to learn.

- Without learning there isn’t going to be any of that.

It’s the same with anything. So if you want to learn guitar. It’s the progress of learning which you should enjoy.

But really it seems to me which I also noticed from others threads that you have a lot to deal with. If that is so you ought to focus on that instead of trying to find other activities to keep you busy. It should be your priority. Also if have dealt with it and in that progress you will notice that you have a lot more energy than you used to have. Because having ‘unresolved issues’ does block your energy.

Your machine would be so more be effective if you get ride of your ‘emotional blockage.’ It really is. If I where you I should concentrate on those first.

Youtube! always a hoot

Hi TeganZ,

Welcome to this forum.

Since it is your first post, we encourage new member to write a little intro in the Newbies section telling the other members of this forum how you discover this site, what books you have read about the fourth way, if you are familair with the books written by Laura.

You can read a couple of intro and that will give you the general idea.

and your just figuring this out now?

111777, I'm not sure whose post you are referring to, but this remark is rather disrespectful. I recommend going over the forum rules if you haven't already:

Well, seems 111777 is looking for strong and quickly feedback, so as Laura said in the other threat better for him to start with EE, because we try not to feed the "beast".

Hey abstract just wanted to say I really enjoyed your improvised session. :cool2:
Reminded me of a few songs I really like, but can't put my finger on all of them at the moment.....three off the top of my head are below (maybe they'll give you some inspiration to continue in this direction if you want to?)
Ess Gee by Underworld

Gong by Sigur Ros

Future Proof by Massive attack

*edit* I've remembered what it reminds me of, one of my favorite pieces of guitar music as it happens.
Albertross by Fleetwood Mac

Falls somewhere between Ess Gee and Albertross :)

like it. I even picked up my bass, and tried improvising along with it :)

Let me just update here, cause i think i'm on to something. I realized that because of the way i've been changing over the years, like humans do, i needed a different approach. I kept trying
the same old crap over and over again :headbash:

I have some tab editing software and i had nearly forgotten about it, i wouldn't remember if i didn't give guitar lessons. But a while ago i started just, without thinking, putting down rythms and notes
in the tab editor, not really caring one bit if i came up with anything.

The cool part is, I did come up with something. The software takes to time to use, but it helps me remember what i write (i have a short term memory issue it seems) and it temporarily
takes the stress off of having to play it right away. I'm so dumb, i just needed a visual/audio aid!! and i can hear how it sounds right away, so that's good.

I think that what's really different about now from a couple years ago, i seem to be a more mentally centered sort of person, my mind wants to keep track of everything, and i can't do that
without software in front of me it seems. a bit of a handicap, but if that's what it takes. :) this might even get me to play everyday again.

plus, since i don't really need a guitar to hear the music, i can smoke! :cool2:

It's been a few months since i started this thread.

I was thinking about it today, all this.

I really don't think I even care about guitar anymore.

I've tried, I really have, to come up with something, to write stuff, learn stuff, ever since i started this thread but Lo and behold, there is nothing come out of it.

Fact of the matter is, i finally realize, I just ain't talented in that area.
