Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT): General information and discussion of Home Units

Do you have one of those little portable fans? Amazon.com
Do they really make much difference? Bucket of ice seems like additional complication- just getting in and out of the chamber is time consuming on a busy day.
But I am getting used to it. We are in the midst of heatwave - I am managing 40 minutes and that is good enough for the intense heat period.

These pieces of apparatus came with our chamber when we got it a while ago. I still haven’t figured out what they are for. Does anyone know?View attachment 78147
You can use this instead of the mask. I find it more pleasant. I got pimples around my mouth and nose from the mask.
When you have it on it looks like a headset with a microphone and the oxygen comes out of the front part. For some people it might come out too much and I admit it tickles a bit in the nose at first.

Thanks Mililea
It also came with nasal cannula so I’ve been using that. So the headset thingy is interesting.
What’s the blue green tube like cannister thingy ?

You are supposed to attach that on the oxygen outlet in the chamber and then mask tube is attached on the other end of it.
So our machine came with three separate bags that had three different concentrated oxygen delivery systems. Nasal probes/cannula, mask, or the headset thingy with the green canister.

The NZ importer we bought our chamber from didn’t know what the headset and canister were used when I asked her. We haven’t been using that at all. What does it do? Might it be used as a receptacle for solutions being nebulised?

I honestly don't know either. Here is a video of how it is assembled. Unfortunately, it doesn't reveal what the container does.
I am pretty sure you can skip the canister, my guess is that it catches condensation but not 100% sure.
That could be, but I have never noticed any moisture in it since I started using it.

i saw you mentioned using ozone to sterilize the chamber, i don't know how those are built but we know that ozone doesn't react well with rubbers/seals(like those used for high pressure vessels) or some soft materials so better check it out to avoid damaging something

I'm a little slow in responding. Sorry. I asked Tommy at Oxyrevo some questions and he got back to me.

My questions:

1) It was mentioned that the temperature of the room should be around 19-20 C, and that if it is warmer than this, to use an air conditioner to cool the room. What is the reason for this? Is it for my personal comfort while in the chamber, or is it to help cool the machines? Do the machines have an emergency shut off if they get too hot?

2) I use an ozone generator sometimes to disinfect a room. A person on the forum mentioned the use of an ozone generator to not be a good idea since the ozone could damage the seals of the chamber. Is an ozone generator safe to use in the same room as the hbot?

3) Can direct sunlight affect the chamber in any way?

Tommy's responses:

1. The purpose to turn on the room AC when room temerature is warm is for yourself better comfortable using inside of your chamber.
As the temperature inside of the chamber is related to the temperature in your room.
This advice nothing to do for the machines.
Thanks for this reminding requestion, we will improve the writing in the user manauls.

2.There has no literature to say Ozone could damage the chamber capsule or not specificly, but better not use it if we have no idea if it is suitable to use.
For disinfection solution, we have an anti-virus generator which use water nano technology, however it is only availbale to install in the Pro version with all-in-one machine.
My personal experience is as long as you keep your chamber room dry, clean and with fresh and better air circulation, then it will be fine.

3.Better to put the chamer in place where no direct sunlight for longer lifespan and comfortable using experience.

yeah since it's a proprietary material you'd expect that they have no tests but it doesn't hurt to ask, thanks for the heads up

the anion thing is interesting though, i think it'd help not just with dirt but ESD management as you're running 3 machines on top of a carpet...
specially if the power mains is not earthed

ordered a negative anion thing from AliExpress for $18 to try out
that's for room air not the oxygen line obviously as i have no way to check whether it produces trace ozone or not which is harmful to breath.

but while searching about it and oxygen therapy there's some theorizing that it helps destroying spike proteins and improve tissue oxygenation
