Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT): General information and discussion of Home Units

NO WORRIES AIR COOLER SETUP.
The air cooler sits on a 5 gallon rectangular bucket with lid. The lid has a 5/8" hole drilled just below the air cooler's collection jar. A 1/2" vinyl hose is slipped over the drain mechanism and dropped through the hole in the bucket's lid. The water is free of dirt so no worries about mold or smells. Plus, the collection jar stays clean and dry. After two months of daily dives the bucked only has 1" of water. May only have to clean it a few times a year at this rate.

could you or someone(@Benjamin?) with the zla-02 air dryer check what are the program settings i changed mine trying to figure out what it does lol
The knob next to the collection jar is turned all the way to the right/clockwise.

There was a nice little puddle on the floor.
Been there done that but with my new system I never have to deal with the water.

cool system!

ordered longer silicone hoses so i can turn the chamber around and leave the compressor in another room, now that ears stabilized it's starting to annoy me.
running the drain cup open is not an issue according to Tommy.
this drain valve when gotten separately comes with a copper filter that is not present in this air dryer not sure why..

today something strange happened at beginning of the dive the concentrator decided to pull instead of pushing air i noticed the non rebreather mask bag was being vacuumed so i quickly depressurized the chamber and went to check connections/machine but nothing out of normal
turned it off/on went back in and it worked normally

i've skimmed over the oxygen cure book and halfway through the oxygen revolution...had no idea you can get brain injured in so many ways
almost sure i've checked a few like birth, accidents and one time i near drowned limbs felt disconnected/heavy
first week feeling a bit more energetic and less brain fogged

the silicone hoses got here today was a tight fit but no issues holding 1.5ata, except they smell of benzyl alcohol/benzoate and don't look smooth/clear but more opaque with bubbles like the vulcanization process went wrong lol

supposedly "surgery grade"

I've done 44 90-minute sessions so far and here are my observations.
Although my chamber is only 1.3 ATA, the first thing I've observed is gradual skin improvement. It's no longer dry and scaly but rather
more smooth and shiny. No issues with pressurizing/depressurizing, also noticeable better and deeper sleep.
I did not, at least for now, experience pronounced ups and downs with energy levels, although I can say that I feel less lethargic then
usual.
On the downside, I've noticed that after ten or so sessions light pain developed in my right eye, right on the spot where I was injured over twenty years ago. It feels like a kind of annoying splinter stuck in and I think that it may be due to exposing myself to extended pressure.
However, yesterday I got myself into a real ordeal, I got up early and went to tire service in order to change the tires on my minivan, When unloading the tires for the serviceman I felt serious pain on the top back side of my right hip spreading to low abdomen and right thigh. It subsided after a couple of minutes but come on again more seriously. I've hardly managed to return home and try to cool it down with a cold shower but to no avail and ended up in the ER diagnosed with kidney stones. Those were a very nasty couple of hours I won't forget for sure! Today I feel much better although I'm not sure I've disposed of all those pesky little crystals.
Now two things are to consider here also, I'm still consuming a fair amount of dark chocolate daily (high oxalate content/maybe I'm low on serotonin), and parallel to HBOT I'm currently doing Samozdrav protocol (I'm somewhere at the end of 3. phase).
So since I'm usually pedal to the metal guy, maybe I was doing things too much too soon thus initiating some serious cleanup in my body!?! So I've decided to stop doing HBOT for the rest of the week and after my medical checkup on Sunday, proceed with a shorter 60 min. sessions?
Will keep you posted!

@Regulattor

reading Paul Harch's oxygen revolution book says it can be finicky to find your dose and tolerance may change from day to day..
also dropping water weight seems common could this cause a mineral imbalance?

myself I felt down for a day or two this past week but instead of reducing session time i added cardio exercise

last bout of HBOT i did last year i plateaued at 40 something sessions(2ata) as far as well being goes, got a serious food poisoning around that time that left me mildly impaired but i think HBOT helped further with that

I've binged on peanut butter but try adding protein/milk powder to reduce oxalate load

Some update on my experience with HBOT:

I bought a 1.5 ATA unit from Macypan a little more than 1 year ago. Since then, I have done about 180 1-hour sessions on the unit. Due to life circumstances, I usually have to take breaks several weeks long from HBOT, but when I can do it, I do it every day, usually in the evening.

I was basically healthy before starting with HBOT and had been keeping up to date with the health research on this forum. So I didn't find much changes from the HBOT experience except for one aspect, which I will give more detail below.

About 3-4 years ago, I discovered that I had been suffering from very mild symptoms of Parkinson's disease, which explained the mental and emotional issues I got all my life. I learned to control it with daily NeurOptimal sessions and L-Tyrosine supplement, which already improved my quality of life significantly.

Fast forward to the present, the HBOT sessions have made it possible for me to stop NeurOptimal and reduce the L-Tyrosine intake by a huge amount. If I had to take 1/4 teespoon (about 1 gram) every day before, I only need to take a tiny amount (20 - 30 mg) twice a week now. I've achieved much success in both my career and intimate relationship as a result, which I could only dream of in the past.

I have no doubt that HBOT has made it all possible by healing my brain. So I will continue with HBOT for as long as I can. Who knows what else it can bring?

Before ending, I highly recommend the book The Oxygen Revolution, where the authors talked about the myriad ways that brain injury can happen for most people, and how HBOT can heal it. I can add my personal testimony to the case studies there.

I too see the skin improvements. When ever I am down, I found HBOT to be helpful.

Some times I observe some unexpected body part hurting or twitching. As a hypothesis, I bucketed it as some vitaman or mineral imbalance ( as they get consumed in the session) and take few of them and slow down on HBOT. It seems to be working as of now.

I'm about to order a unit from Tommy at Oxyrevo, is it worth it to get the all in one professional version? Apologies if this has already been covered...

Thanks!

small update: doing it everyday sessions 10-20 have been tiring had the first day off yesterday, today i tried it before exercising for the first time felt a bit lighter on the treadmill knees felt better etc

couple questions that came up does it make sense to do the samozdrav near hbot sessions or not? I'm doing it right before thinking it should increase free/unbound oxygen..

is this all the filters you need in the hg5 o2 machine? thought there'd be a hepa at least

Thanks in advance.
